I enjoyed the video. I felt bad for both Stephen and Jonathan as I do not think their decks really did much. I loved watching the deck Justin played. I hated watching the deck Jeremy played but admit it was a disgustingly beautiful yet gross machine. I really disliked Justin flubbing the game to save a point. Good for Jonathan.
Jeremy also on Lrr Friday night paper fights occasionally.

I agree with Stephen, denying Jon the additional 3 points would have been worth losing the 2 Justin avoided losing. I believe the totals would have been 8/1/2/2? Instead of 9/4/2/2?

@@hamishian0 yep, didn't make any sense to not just kill everyone. If anything he probably should have blasted Stephen to a very low life total (lower X) and then just kill him with Bosh on his upkeep.

Question about your guys’ point system. If you kill say, all 3 of your opponents at the same time, do your opponents tie for second, third, or fourth? My friends and I started tracking this for our games, and it is quite fun.

Comeuppance deals that damage to the creature if a creature is the source of the damage. Combustible Gearhulk took 2 damage, but that wasn't enough to kill it so nothing happened.
No. 0 damage means no damage is dealt at all, so all damage replacement effects do not apply.

That's fair but that basically means you didn't want to see him play Mangara because Mangara just is a Death & Taxes commander, his previous version was part of the reason D&T became a thing in Legacy because of his interaction with Karakas. The new Mangara follows these roots and embraces them, a D&T commander deck is just the logical consequence. Having Mangara in the 99 is a different story but you should build your deck around your commander because otherwise the whole thing is pretty pointless.
I personally like seeing Death & Taxes decks, I like to play them and I like to play against them, I love the puzzle that they create with their multiple hatebears, it's one of my favorite deck archetypes to see and a viable D&T deck is usually an indicator for a healthy metagame in eternal formats.

He would have lost a point for killing everyone in one turn. It’s one of their rules, they avoid plays where it kills everyone at once.

Oh man, @1:04:16 JJ almost soft locked the game, if he has stuffy doll target J while comupence is in play, and stuffy takes any damage, J would deal that damage to stuffy instead triggering it to self damage again and only John would get 1 point this week for first blood.
he coulda forced it by equiping a helm of host to stuffy and using it's tap ability.
Jeremy had mana for shadowspear activation, so he could've stopped the loop by removing indestructible and having Stuffy Doll die.
x=20, kill everything, jhon at 2, upkeep BOSH. GG
There are more combinations he could've done, but that was probably one of the worst =\

No, he cast Path to Exile, that one let's the controller of the creature search for a land. You are thinking of the other 1 mana exile spell, Swords to Plowshares, which causes them to gain life.

Because Elesh Norn wasn't in play yet. The only time Stephen used Garruk's -3 (@ 41:55), was the turn BEFORE Jeremy played Elesha Norn.
I love Justin but there is something so satisfying when he gets got right at the end while in a commanding/winning position. I was also hoping Justin would be playing the new Kaervek.

When Jeremy builds a deck he just puts as many mythic and rares as he can in it. Completely incapable of building an effective deck without overpowered cards.
