I agree. I'm a Chinese drama fan, and the other viewers often drop dramas because the main leads aren't attractive enough. Zhou Dongyu is one of the most natural chinese actresses that I know of, but many complained that she wasn't pretty or Fairy-like enough to play as an Immortal God in Ancient Love Poetry. She usually sticks to movies, and that was her first role of that nature, I believe. I have watched that drama over 5 times. The storyline is great, it's entertaining, and she and the main lead did a great job making their characters believable. ❤❤❤ Unfortunately, there will always be critical people in this world, and they will always judge an actor, drama, or movie unfairly. 😢

Christian Bale isn’t just a good actor, he’s phenomenal. One of my favourites from him is actually The Big Short, to me it showed off the absolute enormity of his range playing this like awkwardly confident guy with aspergers who has to deal with a world of finance that doesn’t make a lick of sense and this like frustration he has to blend in with all those underlying mannerisms.

He embodies his characters, their mannerisms, capturing the slightest minutia of their voices, getting lost in them, and simply vanishing into a completely different person.
