Thank you for taking the time to record this video, much appreciated. Your instructions are clear and to the point. Question... Do you know if the ATS graphic setting affect the quality of graphics of the Quest 2 or are they specifically for non-vr game play?
@@carllepage9687 My experience was that playing with the quest 2 settings were more impactful on getting the best out of how VR looked than the actual game settings were. I’m no expert tho, I created the video because I struggled to get VR to work, so the information is based on my personal experience, I tinkered with game settings as well, but less than headset settings I would say.

is there a particular method for being able to a) record an b) stream that you use? Currently trying to set mine up to stream and am having some issues with the Virtual desktop method, namely game play is choppy and not high quality like yours is here,
what are your graphic settings? I have same Processor but 3060ti and I run low settings because of fps drops... it looks kinda shitty. I play on meta Quest 3

Did you get it working ok on quest 3. Mine looks like shit on a 3080ti. Like it looks nothing like this at all.
@@angryhitman6181 I bought a 4070 ti super a week ago, ETS 2 works now but most of the time I have 36 fps instead of 72 ( very strange ). the resolution is 125% and everything mid or high ( I played with another setting options and most of the time it went back to 36 fps instead of 72... When I set 90 fps in MQ3 when the game has 45 FPS... The game isnt optimized for VR I guess . ATS works a bit worse ( stutters bit more ), maybe the graphic mod causes issues, I have to check it out, but the same mod is installed in ETS 2
@@malarski22 I just don't think this game works well at all in vr it just looks terrible. For some reason when using link cable sounds all choppy. But my headset detecting it's plugged in to a USB 2 port on my pc but my pc don't have any USB 2 ports only USB 3. Use to say USB 3 but not any more. And cant get it running on VD always plays in flat screen for some reason. It's a shame cos really wanted to play this in vr. Was looking at the 4080 super but gonna wait to see what the 50 series has to other i think.

so how did you get it to launch in vr. no matter what i do it launches in big picture mode. its getting me rally angry and im about to give up. any help would be appreciated
Great question, I should have included this in the video. Try this, using quest headset go into steam vr, the one where it takes you into a virtual room. Using left controller press the button with 3 lines on it. This opens a screen and there’s a menu on the left. Bottom of that menu you want to select ‘VR settings’ On the next screen select ‘dashboard’ then finally, make sure the ‘present non vr applications on theatre screen’ is turned off.

Edit: I tried and I think I accidently chose the new beta, NOw some of the menu icons are black squares and lil flags to pick up orders aren't showing. Also, still got the big screen in steamvr.
@@johnthegiant320 the new beta as in 1.50? Probably not going to work in VR until the VR guy updates the VR beta (I’m guessing) but you can go back to the old beta. Also I had an issue a while back when I thought the game wasn’t launching in VR but it actually was once I selected drive from in the game. That issue was resolved by pressing F11 , but check your in game keybinds , I’m away from my pc right now so can’t check. F11 switches menu from monitor into vr headset. Also are you using oculus? If so make sure -oculus is in steam launch options ( not trying to teach u to suck eggs) just in case you missed it.
@@Nachoplaysgames I think the issue is the 107 mods and nothing with trying vr. Lol at least in game. I'll try f11 next chance, but even with changing the setting in steam I had the virtual big screen. Which I'm taking is what f11 will fix.
I have tried running ATS and ETS2 in VR hundreds of times and none of the tips work. The information provided here also does not work. Other VR games from Steam run without any problems on my Q3.
I got a black screen in the be but it plays on my pc screen
@@klkl4373 do you have still black screen when you take a drive? I have this issue too but when i start to drive I can see suddenly in VR. When i press ESC, when I see only on the monitor...
