Gracefield Races 1983 Formula 1 Race 1 and 2

The return of road racing in Round two of the 1983 Pan Am Countrywide Race Series. The first race back using the fast Gracefield Lower Hutt Street Circuit since the 1977/78 Marlboro International Series. Featuring Dave Hiscock on the plastic fantastic Suzuki 1000 Formula one machine and Stu Avant,Rodger Freeth and Robert Holden among others.

I remember having such high expectations of the RG500 and being surprised how the F1 bikes dominated. I don’t think k I have ever seen this footage. A very different t perspective from watching g behind the hay bales. Really brought home some memories.
