I still remember watching y'all build that 2.3 the first time. It's going to be a monster! I just had my EJ8 Civic coupe tuned with the built LSVTEC with a Garrett GT3582R dual ball bearing turbo, CP 9.0:1 81.5mm pistons, Eagle rods, Civic Type-R head, Turbosmart 60mm wastegate, Tial Q50 BOV, huge Mishimoto front mount intercooler, PLM top mount turbo manifold, Skunk 2 intake manifold, Grams 2200cc injectors, Skunk 2 70mm throttle body, and tuned on Hondata, it made 588 whp on 20 psi. I just installed VMS 15x8 et20 rims with Toyo 225/50/15 R888Rs on the front and it's scary af. I smoked a crotch rocket last night on the highway and I was shaking because the acceleration is so brutal. I hope to see this Datsun do something similar someday.

I love this car. I have always wanted a 280z, and I happen to own a ford ranger with the 2.5l lima engine, so this is like a perfect mesh of those two for me. And of course the creative mural that *is* the engine bay. Very cool build.

I love the Datsun, that's what brought me to your channel several months ago. I got hooked, and ended up watching the whole play list from the beginning. She has a lot of character, and the 2.3 sounds awesome I think. Pop, pop, bang, pop, pop. That's the music of our people.

I’m 3:45 minutes in and wanted to say that this happened to me last spring with the starter solenoid. A $8 fix but a pain in the
@$$ when it malfunctions. Never been so scared in my entire life when it kept turning over but wouldn’t stop until disconnecting the battery...
you may want to add some ducting to channel the air directly to the rad and intercooler. should help flow the air across the coolers.

No shit. Same here. I'm on my 3rd starter relay. Now im putting a snow plow relay on in its place. Hope it works. Lol. I scrambled to open my trunk to disconnect the battery. Sucks big time.
I just wanna see it rip! Time for the drag strip! After a tune of course. So I guess I want to see it tuned first. Whatever.

I belive ive been watching since episode 2 of the Datsun and ill just say, I love the route its taken! I mean, it wasnt the beat of quality then, so as it sits now I'm 100% fine with it.
Would like to see the Datsun running properly. It surely has more potential that could be released.

They look fine, any wider and they'd stick past the fenders and look goofy
Maybe a wider tire but that's it.

It’s rwd and with the price of an s2k motor being upwards of a small house the 5.0 was a much easier price to do. And now with the bellhousing adapter I can go with any ford motor which is pretty sweet!

Switch to a bronco or a f150 solenoid. Then slap on a push-to-start button, and you won't have another problem.

Please explain how short ic piping will affect the spool up of the turbo? I'll wait.....
leroy420b less volume for the turbo to fill. Less helpful for boost threshold and more for actual lag, I.e a subaru with a top mount over a front mount. Except ideally this will see the best of both options
Also look into any rear mount turbo kit,, which are well known to lag like crazy due to the sheer volume of the intake and exhaust tracts, or even hoonigans shitcar for that matter (literally doesn’t make boost)
