    I absolutely love love love your quilt not a big fan of red but I do love the red in the middle and your red border but more than that I love your Grinch T-shirt you know I'm a big Grinch fan. I may have to try to make a quilt like that but I don't have a lot of scraps because I usually throw scraps away after I make a quilt. That material is history when i'm finished with it have a great holiday

    Green or blue with a thin white sashing before the border.

    It looks great, I'd use an inner border of red and do a piano key for the outer border. lol, I put my comment down before Donna shared hers!

    The white stars make the strips show up as diamonds , I love 💕 it, as a small block quilt, I’m a “ make it bigger faster “ quilt top maker , and I love 💕 yours too 😍😍😍😍

    A solid thin black border. Then a wider red border to match the stars. Both of these quilts are beautiful. I know I can make one. I love string piecing. Thank you for this wonderful idea and pattern.

    Love both quilts. Actually made one like Di’s for my g’daughters birthday couple years ago. She wanted quilt with all different colors so I made this with different scraps I had, not Christmas. Love it and so did she. Love all your videos.

    This is odd but when I look at your quilt, I see red stars. But when I look at Di's quilt, I don't see stars. I see four diamonds that meet in the middle on a white background. Both quilts are gorgeous.

    Looks like a red zinger quilt made with selvages that was a quilt along with Pat sloan last year. Great idea for other fabric also.

    Funny thing... I'm doing the Bonnie hunter mystery with my 1990s tote I hoarded. I have in my hand the Santa fabric from the beginning, angry Santa, with a red background now

    from Gerry- I would put a red border. If you want a different Christmas border I would still put a thin red first. I LOVE it! God bless.

    Great quilts. By adding a piece of batting, you'd get a great QAYG quilt. Both quilts were beautiful.

    I have made a few string quilts but they were paper pieced. One was a quilt for a raffle and it was a huge hit. Now this gives me another pattern to try. I can't wait. A stash bash sounds like a great idea. Merry Christmas.

    It never ceases to amaze me how one pattern can look so different coming from different sets of hands. They both turned out beautifully! I did a similar scrap quilt with all my autumn colored scraps but I did it as quilt as you go then joined the blocks with sashing. Somehow I still had plenty of strips left over. Don't ask me how that happened! LOL

    Love this. I have many of the fabrics that Di had. Years ago I made my mom a strip quilt tree skirt and had many scraps left over. I am definitely going to make this using my Christmas scraps.🤗good memories.

    Love the secondary pattern which really pops on Di’s quilt.
    Both are beautiful. I have a lot of 90’s scraps but am afraid the Christmas reds may bleed. May need to limit that color.

      Pick up some Shout Color Catcher before its washed. You just toss in it in the washer and atteacka the dye to its self do the quilt isnt stained.

    Beautiful quilts. Love both. I cut up my smaller scraps to make pet beds, but the shelter didn’t want them, so I have two garbage bags filled with tiny scraps. I won’t cut up my scraps like this anymore. Instead, I will make a scrap busting wilt. Looking forward to more of you and Di’s scrap bash quilts. I have TONS of scraps.
