it’s HUGE!!! No joke, man. What an experience! What a workout! You transcended your whole being into this. Inspiring to see your approach; your marks, sparring with your brushes in a duel with nature. More than a capture, you killed it!
Wow, 🙏🙏🙏❤️
I enjoyed watching your process.. including filling in the blanks.
This is what painting is all about!... making decisions, mixing the right value and putting it on the canvas with bold direct strokes...no narrative or explaining needed...the results are self evident...
🙏🙏🙏

@@rodrigogomes2064 You are right. I paint cars.
Confidence and boldness are only one part of what makes good art. Children paint with confidence but that alone does not make for great art. These paintings are at the junior high level with very little understanding of color and color harmony, warm v cool, or neutrals v higher chroma. Let alone value and composition. There are so many super talented landscape artists out there it is mind boggling to me he has the temerity to put himself out as an instructor. Kudos for confidence but it’s a confidence based on lack of self awareness regarding his abilities/knowledge. It really kills me to see when there are so many genuinely great landscape artists out there that people could learn real skills from.
@@johncarmanarts thanks for all those words, and I absolutely agree with everything you've said. I'm currently applying to audit the local junior high art classes hoping to glean a few useful tricks of the trade from the students. I'll be certain to quickly create a youtube video to share what I've learned.
Wow that's huge! It will be beautiful. Don't rush it.😊
this so amazing friend natural painting.i like it so much👍
best channel in the youtube. shoutout from brazil.
Learn a lot from you mr. Turner. Thank you
Rarely do I watch a video right through without skipping ahead but you got me man! That was so much fun to see you work. Thanks!
Thanks so much 🙏🙏
Thank you for interpreting the beauty of nature on to a large canvas! It’s inspiring to watch. 😊
It's a joy to see you painting ! Your timing is fascinating...the way the oil paint reveals your talent...the abstract intense strokes that create the calm realistic landscape ....the reality in motion....yeh....
رائعة جدا , وعفوية بطريقة السهل الممتنع , احببتها كثيرا .. هذا هو الفن والإبداع ..
I wish I had MOney to spend on paint like u do.... Ive watched u progress over last 3 years an I'm impressed.... Jeez I wish..... I hav to do tiny paintings an 1 big 1 evry 3 months..... U go sir.... 👍🏻
That is my favorit painting
Excelente lugar elegido ,para crear una obra maravillosa
I absolutely love this painting and your technique! Thank you for sharing
Makings of a great painting. It doesn't need much more, you have captured the essense of the place.
Such a happy painting
Turner this is brilliant as is. Don’t overwork it. Your colours are becoming stronger and freer. Just love it. 👍🏼. I too find it extremely difficult going from small to huge canvas. It is a lot for the brain.
Thanks so much!
What joy ❤️
🙏
I love it as is!
What a hard worker you are!! I already like the paint coming out of the tubes. Beautiful again Turner. Thank you!
And interested in your online course but take your time
Thanks Irene!
I would never tire of looking at that painting. You really knocked it out of the park!!
Thanks Sharron!!
A splendid job!!!!!
Thank you for sharing your inspiring work of celebrating nature.
Another beautiful szenery, that you are painting today. Thank you!
Love those vids, so calming
Thank you so much
If you are enjoying learning from Turner’s videos then you should think about taking his online class. The lessons are very clear and his natural teaching style makes it easy to take in what he’s saying. I’ve been through the basics a few times before but it always helps to have a new presentation. My painting has really improved very quickly :)
thank you!!
I adore this one
Fantastc scenery and beautiful painting. Can't wait to see it finished.
Thanks
Right on, Bro
Talento. Originalidad
epic one
Action Painter! It’s lovely! Keep up the good work! I’m 73 and still prefer working outdoors. My philosophy seems to be similar to yours; bring the largest canvas the wind will allow
Different but very effective I like it very much.
Reminds me a bit of Cezanne, love it, thank you!
I love your art...Great 👌🙏♥️
You painting with heart and have a wonderful talent , I love your arts
Great seeing you working on a big canvas with big brushes and loads of paint, to me the painting is finished, you've captured all the essential elements needed in a wonderfully spontaneous burst of energy, you really have captured what plein air painting should be about, well done.
Beautiful nice painting 🎨👍👍
🙏
Comme toujours, excellent et tres beau...🤗
Brilliant, felt I was there, love the dog critic
Lookin’ super thus far. Well done!
Thanks Bob 🙏
Amazing work!!!❤
Thank you
Beautiful 💗

Above lake Como in Montana with Turner Vinson ✨👍🏻✨🌹🎀🌿...............,
Thank you so much for another amazing painting. Looking forward to seeing the final results. Lake Como is where we camped just prior to visiting you last spring. What a beautiful place and happy memories.
Thanks Jill! I’m glad you got to camp out there, it’s a great spot!
Fantastic.
🙏
Thank you, this is awesome. Love the free style and marks. I'm sure it will be greatly admired andd appreciated once completed.
Thank you
Very nicely done ✅
Thank you
Wow great painting, love the painting style, the colour mixing is very good, well done. best wishes Ken
Sintesi di grande effetto cromatico. Complimenti ....
Magnifique peinture, très beau paysage, j adore ! 😀👏👍❤❤🇨🇵
🙏🙏
En éste mundo absolutamente loco, es bueno un soplo de belleza, armónica y espontaneidad hermosos encuadres sabes elegir el motivo, gracias Vinson.
I totally understand what you mean about the magnitude of the size of that canvas and although I don’t work on large pieces like that I still at times find the same for lack of a better word “anxiety” when starting a piece and thinking how am I ever going to finish this but then just like you did I persevere and sure enough it begins to take form.
I sensed a bit of a release once you did get all the big areas covered and then were able to grab small brushes and start putting in your amazing touches here and there.
I appreciate the fact that you take it serious enough for your own health and mental well-being to take a break from it and get reenergized good for you.
👍🙏
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
THIS !!!!!!!!!!!!!
nice painting!! I can imagine the difficulties painting on such a large canvas. great work 👏🏾
Hey, thanks Cedric
Would love to see the finished painting
I thought it was done 😮
Turner, come to Lake Como (Italy)! 😉
Would love to!!
Great video Turner! There is an Australian “Plein air extreme” painter. Richard Musgrave Evans… if you’re not already familiar with him, might want to watch him in action. You remind me of him in some ways. Keep on sharing!
Greetings from Russia !!!
I read lake Como, thinking of the original lake Como in Italy and had a hard time believing it was there due to the landscape and trees - until I learned, there is an american lake Como too 🙂
In America almost evry town or lake or mountain or city is a borrow...... Lol
Bold:strong:feelings:like,it
Oh yea! I'm very interested in your course! I don't think I'll be able to go in person in(I think you said June) but I could do your online course!!!! Thank you! I'm signing up right now to be alerted!
Waw,Very nice,I like Tank You
Wows
It's going to snow? If look so nice
Yes I love your big canvases too. Wish I had the nerve to paint one lol
What an effort! I watched you fill a 2inch square with 7 strokes in one color…!? Is there a place I can go where address stroke placement?
Haha, it’s all just intuition in the moment. Hard to bring reason into at times.
Thank you for sharing as usual! Watching you get out there and work inspires me and many others I’m sure! I can’t help but wonder though, why don’t you tone the canvas? I feel like if you pretoned in magenta or a cobalt turquoise or something kind of bold, you would be finished with the painting in the first pass, and subsequently retain as much of that essential energy you work so hard to impress with your brushwork on location. Anyway, we all have our methods and reasons and everyone is a critic. Love your energy, keep it coming!
Thanks Cory. I’ve been playing around with toning, but it didn’t happen on this one.
Your keen Turner going there by yourself! aren't there Bears and mountain lions in that region? l don't have those problems
in Australia mate! and nice painting very large for plein air cheers !
how long did it take you just blocking these colors. It would take me weeks. ouf you always impress me!
I think the whole session, I including set up, time wasting, eating a sandwich and walking my dog around was less than four hours.
@@turnervinson it takes me 2 hours to block an 8 x 10 ! you are good!!!! very good!!!
oh I like that painting so pretty lots of forest and mtns. but you know what I was watching you painting I just notice a dog in the background watching paint. looks like a black and white dog standing kindabehind that tree....
Not sure whether you’re finished with this extremely interesting landscape or if you’ll continue in the studio . Thing is I know you usually pack on a thick impasto.
Thanks, no, I’m not finished with it.
@@turnervinson hope you’ll show it to us! Love your style.
It is finish or need more work and where I can go to see it finish
Perdone, no escribo inglés, me puede indicar con qué técnica trabaja , óleo o acrílico? 🤔.Gracias !
where's the finished product? Couldn't find it on your channel.
Saledea soy de Nicaragua
me gustaría saber si la agrega varias capas para darle más fuerza ala obra,
молодец!!!
Hello Turner. Even if your painting is not finished, if I understood what you said correctly, it is already magnificent: the composition, the colors... everything suits me! congratulations for your talent. I just have one request: could you add subtitles and the possibility of translation to your videos please? thank you.
Thanks, Jacqueline. I wish it was easy to add subtitles and translations, but it's really time consuming or I have to pay for it to be done. And for these free videos that doesn't really make sense for me at the moment. Hope you can still enjoy the videos! RUclips did have an automated subtitles, but they don't seem to be offering it anymore.
@@turnervinson Thank you very much Turner for considering my request. Sorry, I didn't know this option was paying for you. It doesn't matter, I'll manage with Google translate. Have a good week
Cézanne and Gaugin would be very please.
Are you using oils?
Yes
🙌👏👏👏👏👏👏👏☺️
Are you here in Italy maestro?
Ahh, I wish. We have a Lake Como here in Montana, of course, named after the Italian lake. I am considering a workshop in Florence in the future though!
@@turnervinson come to visit Siciliy .
👍🌳💥🎨
pinta muy de prisa
Everytime he start to pour the oils I just move at from of the video lo lo lo
Привет из России !!!
Those Kmart pants 😑
So rad
As a work in progress, it's poorly average.
If someone consider it done, then it's a waste of time and material
lol, good to know
@@turnervinson you better know it, cause it's sad to waste oil and canvas that could become real art
I liked it until he started talking 'art speak'.
oh dang, sorry I talked...
It is very relaxing to watch the painter draw. I am a student of oil painting. Whenever I have time, I will come to see it. I like the painter's use of color very much.
