This story was insane when I first heard this. To think people are really out there, buying or owning land, even a cabin in the middle of nowhere, to hunt other human beings for fun.
The movie is called "The Frozen Ground" with Nicolas Cage.
Small rural airports sometimes have practically no one around. Stories like these remind people how vulnerable they really are even in modern times.
Such an insane and outrageous story, but I really lost it after Cee said: "He owns a bakery, he bakes cupcakes." 😆😆

I watched a documentary on this guy and they had a lot of the footage of his confession....it is chilling to watch. He is so casual in describing each victim and what he did.
It sucks that that brave woman was dismissed even though she said she was assaulted in the BASEMENT. Of course the main house doesn't have evidence of her attack, it didn't happen there. 🙄
Tbf to the neighbor, he could've been told anything and might not necessarily knew the cops were involved until they showed up
The neighbour could be charged with obstruction of justice.
@ the airport comment: private planes are not scrutinised. Especially in places where people frequently fly out to hunt or the famous/rich folks come in frequently.

my grandmother lives in alaska u can own sections of an airport at certain towns and are able to fly town to town all tho some towns make u check in before flying

There was an episode of Criminal Minds about a guy hunting people in Alaska, Maybe that is what you were remembering.
I don't know about a movie but Law and Order SVU used parts of this story in an episode. It wasn't exact but it was definitely based on this.
Criminal Minds did an episode about this serial killer. I don't remember the name of the episode. But I do know of the serial killer. He was known as Butcher Baker. He was one of the most terrifying serial killers I've ever researched.
Pretty sure this is also from Criminal Minds and the killer would give Rossy a name once a year on his birthday. Its kinda the same story not exactly most of Criminal Minds stuff is based on Semi-True events i believe
It's a private airport. At night there wouldn't be many or any people around.
