In rally you have a navigator that rides passenger who tells you every turn and what gear to be in. Sometimes they make wrong calls, or driver hears wrong. Most cars are very safe especially now a days. Some spectators have been hit, far less common now.
Taking out interior parts is very common. Reducing weight means better response and speed. Crashes are not necessarily the driver's fault. Rally cars also have a navigator that gives instructions to the driver on curves, how sharp they are, and any hazards such as bumps. Giving the incorrect instruction can be disastrous.
Some dumb motherfucker really sat down and thought "what if we made it so the driver had no clue what the hell they were doing and could only get instructions from a passenger who has to yell commands and hope the bumps don't garble the sound? Oh, and make the engine obnoxiously loud too." Add in how many spectators are at the edge of the road and this is very obviously the darwin awards of racing.
I would say most of the crashes were survivable due to the massive roll cage which you can see when the back hatch is open. Love your work Keep at it. F1/Motorsport fan from Canada
I love going to rally races when ever i can, you never know where a car may end up. Also Adam, you should do a rally reaction video when the cars fly into the fans that are on the sides of the road it actually happens often and alot of those moments are captured
These type of vehicles are extremely difficult to control. You need alot of practice on timing and control with the vehicle. The biggest difference between this and Nascar vehicles is that these cars have a bigger tendency to slide or the tires completely locks up and makes it completely uncontrollable and thats where the control part i mentioned comes into play. If you dont control the vehicle properly or time it properly, you'll be in praying mode because the wrecks in this video montage is the worse case scenario. In short, you MUST be very precise with the vehicle because one minor mistake can turn catastrophic.
Have you seen Travis Pastrana's crazy roll over crash? Think it was 7 complete rolls and even had POV footage. Also proves Travis is a wee bit crazy. 😆
Yeah Adam except for that last car, if you look at the majority of the cars main bodies, they are in tact after the crash. Which is the reason these drivers are able to walk away and drive another day. Congratulations on your baby boy Adam. ❤🎉😀
These are tame compared to most Rally Car Crashes. When it comes to what causes them? Driver error, missed directions, incompetence on the passenger who's calling the turns, road conditions, braking, weather, etc., etc., etc. The list goes on but most are because of missed calls on what turn is coming or just not listening. Watch some videos that are inside the vehicles they can be wild because of speed and crashing. Are they safe? Relatively so, the rolls cages in Rally Cars are pretty damn amazing because accidents are frequent.
Rally cars are prepped up to incredible safety standards. Official factory rally cars may be the most durable race car known to man in case of an accident. The greatest danger to the crews is if a foreign object was to come piercing through. To get the point across on how safe these cars are (and in all other FIA sanctioned events and championships) many of the interior components of the car ralted to safety have an actual expiration date, after wich they need said component to be replaced by a newer one, compliant with updated safety standards, and so on. Bucket seats, harnesses, firefighting extintion equipment, helmets, fireproof clothing... Everything is mandatory to go by this rule. Roll cages also need to be built up to standard, but don't need to be replaced. When that car went nose first after the jump people clapped cause it's the most popular jump in the whole WRC championship (along the yellow house jump in Finland) and is known to send you in a crash course to bonk heads with Earth if you don't set the car propperly for it 🤣
People will sit at certain corners hoping to see crashes.(some camera guys just want to catch them on camera) Rally racing is WILD. So many drivers die doing this.
dude I can't remember if you've done one yet or not but you should for sure do an Isle of Man TT video. there are some videos of go pros on riders during practice and it is anxiety inducing lol
Video suggestion: ruclips.net/video/KZK6_oGLG1Y/видео.html - WHO'S GONNA PAY FOR THIS CRASH? Rally Cars vs Houses... It's a bunch of crashes where the cars crash into houses, signs, mailboxes and other things. It's great fun
If you see a car flipping a million times and then coming gently to rest, everyone is probably ok. Battered and bruised perhaps, but they'll be racing again soon. Oddly, the ones that look spectacular usually end with people walking away under their own power. If you see a car hit something hard and come to an abrupt stop... Those can be very bad indeed.
Theyre race cars Adam, there is nothing stock about them, they have all the safety equipment of any race car. Injuries happen alot and bystanders get hit
There are TONS of these, you could watch WRC and rallycross crashes for one day and release em weekly for like 6wks. TONS of these. Just sort by views.
Most likely there aren't many serious injuries on this video. Putting clips of fatalities or serious injury in compilations is considered to be in poor taste. Then again you can find them by searching, since these do happen. Luckily it's quite rare nowadays, but rallying got a bit crazy during 80's and quite many people were killed. It's a dangerous sport for sure. Usually, a rule of the thumb if you wish, if the car doesn't come to a sudden stop the crews are mostly OK. The cars are built really durable. Cars rolling multiple times and shedding weight everywhere during the roll is spectaculous, but the rolls actually absorb energy from the crash and it's a lot more pleasant than a sudden stop. Those then again are really scary.

Wild crashes. The cars are an amazing piece of engineering that keep the occupants safe.

You should watch some Group B rally crash highlights. That was probably peak insanity of all forms of autosports.
that's what I'm saying, Group B makes wrc look so safe
Sami! Sami, you're breaking the car!
Te crowds standing on tracks in 80s group b rally are insane
I would say most of the crashes were survivable due to the massive roll cage which you can see when the back hatch is open. Love your work Keep at it. F1/Motorsport fan from Canada
“Obviously……. Covers mouth with hand… long pause……” had me dying as he saw that car go bye bye off that cliff lol

People POPPING out of the woods like zombies from Walking Dead to help is mental 😅 (and awesome on their part)
To help and/or collect souvenirs 😂
@@lacko623 😂😂 catalytic converters and shite hahaha
ITS ABOUT TIME ADAM IM SO EXCITED

The 'cones all over the road' is a chicane, to slow the drivers down on a bit of road which would otherwise be deemed to fast to be safe
4:05 Group B's event in Portugal was one of the nails in the coffin that eventually ended the racing category.
Love these vids and for clarification most of these drivers walk away from these crashes. Those cars are designed to crash
Pure sound = No commentary, no comms from co-driver.
You should totally check out some 80s Group B rally racing. Very few restrictions for racing and tons of chaos insued.
Usually the longer it takes to stop, the better off the driver is.
You know what sucks. I like by train tracks so if a tornado were coming I would probably just think it’s that train passing 😅
Can you react to dirt sprint car crashes?
😯😳your right this is insane and so many people so close to the wreaks !! nope
You are right the cars are stripped out inside, but then the roll cage is put in.
So that adds a fair bit of weight back
Rally cars are super safe and rolling and crashing is pretty common in rally but safety is in mind also some rally cars are stock but most arent

Old school group b ralley are insane. Mustcwatch
In Rally Cross racing there is a driver and a co driver who is reading notes about the course and one mistake and you see what happens
You should check out some Ken Block (RIP) and Hoonigans rally racing. Awesome stuff!
Slainte
People will sit at certain corners hoping to see crashes.(some camera guys just want to catch them on camera) Rally racing is WILD. So many drivers die doing this.
so bad to think in that last clip if there was no roll cage in there he was have been dead how quick that car lost its parts
ONLY A RALLY CAR IS CAPABLE OF MAINTAINING OUTER SHAPE AND LIFE INSIDE SUCH BRUTAL CIRCUMSTANCES!
So can most other race cars
it;s usually either Driver Error, or the Navigator giving bad directions.
All though even then in professional rally racing it's usually the driver who decides the notes on the reccie.
dude I can't remember if you've done one yet or not but you should for sure do an Isle of Man TT video. there are some videos of go pros on riders during practice and it is anxiety inducing lol

They are just fine. Safetygear are packed round them.
1:13 Rosie O'Donnell is at your house? Why?

keep in mind theres 2 people in those cars, they have a driver and a navigator
MORE!!!
RIP Colin
They fatal crashes. That said: I once saw a fatal crash that looked really innocuous.
They are tuned to about 400 hp and topspeed around 125 mph
The road turned, but I didn't :p
"the flipping is not that bad, but its the landing that hurts"-Darrell Waltrip (i believe)
is this better or worse than nascar?
Me when I take a shortcut to McDonald’s 1:51
Do these types of videos again but inside the car view.
8:44 That is Mitsubishi Lancer, not Subaru :)
I think i saw about 2 actual WRC cars in it. The rest just some lower class rally cars.
04:42 if You listen be background voices then You realize there are child. Yes that is "family event " there in Poland
Adam, can you do an Isle of Man TT crashes reaction?
Theyre race cars Adam, there is nothing stock about them, they have all the safety equipment of any race car.

These cars bear little relation to the showroom cars with the same name. Probably none of the functional mechanical parts remain from the stock car.
7:15 Welcome to Rally. THese are the same guys who think i's a good idea to drive, full throttle up a mountain, then back down again.
These races are cool to watch without the crashes. The crashes are caused by the driver being overconfident...!!!
Most are not injured.
Adam, please watch crashes from the Pikes Peak race. P l e a s e. You’ll live a nice calm, totally chill video. I promise. 😉
Those "Subarus" are actually Mitsubishi Lancers.
Hell yeah, im in, love Rally Racing. F1 got boring really quick

Renault Clio was my first car lol.
Why did you stop the subnautica gameplay
Hey hi

Check out
CRUSTY DEMONS OF THE DIRT
only 1 thing is sure in rally. trees ALWAYS win.
01:59 I hope You understand poland language what he said ... :" oo kurwa!"
It will buff out
If you liked Colin McRae Dirt you should check out EA Sports WRC. It just came out last year and its by the same developer... (Codemasters)
are these cars tuned up? bro come on

Hi hey likeit
"Can i get a 1 in the comments"?
Where do you think you are?

0:57 we see people die. That's tough
No, we don't that's a replay from a different angle of the previous clip.
This is worse than NASCAR😨
No it seems to be lack of knowledge of the course they are on....
