WRC is the FIA World Rally Championship, a tough motorsport using rally cars on real roads around the world. Watch the best rally drivers flat out on gravel and asphalt roads with mud, rain, dust, ice and heat. Power slides, drifts, big jumps, watersplashes, handbrake turns, hairpin bends, lucky escapes, big moments or a massive crash. Rally requires maximum attack and careful tactics to become world rally champion.
Rally drivers take turns to complete closed road "special stages" as quickly as possible, setting off a few minutes apart. A co-driver reads pace notes to describe the hazards ahead. The same rally car is used to travel to each stage on public roads following normal traffic regulations. The crew which completes all the stages in the shortest time is the rally winner. WRC is administered by the FIA Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile FIA, motorsport's world governing body.
Some of the world's greatest drivers have won the FIA World Rally Championship for Drivers : Colin McRae, Carlos Sainz, Walter Röhrl, Stig Blomqvist, Petter Solberg, Ott Tänak. Champions from Finland are Juha Kankkunen, Tommi Mäkinen, Ari Vatanen, Marcus Grönholm and Hannu Mikkola. French rally drivers have dominated 8 times with Sébastien Ogier, and 9 times with Sébastien Loeb. Famous motorsport drivers have attempted WRC like Robert Kubica and Kimi Räikkönen from F1 and Ken Block from Rallycross.
Car companies compete for the prestigious FIA World Rally Championship for Manufacturers. The 1980's featured the iconic Group B rally cars like the Lancia 037 and Delta S4, Peugeot 205 T16, MG Metro 6R4, Ford RS200 and Audi Quattro.
Japan dominated the 1990s with the Mitsubishi Lancer, Subaru Impreza, and Toyota Celica and Toyota Corolla. Citroen and Volkswagen became champions in the 2000s along with M-Sport team using the Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta. Toyota returned to the WRC in 2017 with the Toyota Yaris WRC, winning in 2018 and 2021. Hyundai won in 2019 and 2020 with the Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC. Brave Estonian girl - no screams, no signs of scare
So sick how good driver really Ott is. Rally drivers have crazy skills..🙏😀
Ott Tanak is an amazing driver! a true real champ...
Respect, she handled that pretty well. I'm sure Ott was telling her to start breathing again at the finish.
Was not expecting a tennis/rally crossover but I AM HERE FOR IT 🎾 🚘
her face speaks enough :) She did take it like a champ
It must be freakin awesome, run at top speed in small roads, rally is very very exiting 🙌🙌🙌🙌🏁
That was cool, being in a rally car and driven by the best.
*one of the best
@@mwat22 The best active driver.
@@elisterr9913 Nope. Kalle is.
@@j.s.p Kalle Just has best car and he is good, but he is not Best, I suspect Ogier is Still best, but Tänak is Close second. What you need to see here is how much stage wins driver also has Got Ogier has always been coutios driver waiting others to Drop out Tänak is Just best, He rolls is and takes win after win, if he has working car. Kalle has nice oprtunity to have good car, but if to but him on equal car then we can find out who is best. Kalle can be Next big thing in 5 years or so if he keeps his head cool, he can rake 10+ campionships, but there is also risk if he get easy no competition Title he will think already he is best and no room to prograss and will fall. Look Lappi, rised fast was everyone hope and then he was gone not even win another rally. Tänak had also fallback in his rise, but for now he has proven his is fastest and skillfull and only unluck and bad car can defeat him.
@@elisterr9913 best? yet kalle has swept the field since jan, bruh be objective here not subjective, same way we say Loeb is the best followed by ogier, not because we are biased but based on consistent results.
Ott: did you hold your breath..? Anett: no i didnt want to screm.. 😆 cool girl..❤
tennis and rallye, my two favourite sports
2:51 You now may wave to the crowd 🤣🤣🤣
Lovely lady and great tennis player
Awesum
cool video !! Julge tegu :)
I’m sure she’s thinking God Let me out
Lovely people...
Best joke of that is that she actualy signed agreement with porche after this drive :D
Raced him in AC, very nice n fair ❤️
Now we all know that ott can drive fast even without the co-driver
Because he knew the stage
Very Gut
She can be a nice co-driver.
if i was a rich man, i would buy to have seat in a WRC car and driven it by Ott or Kalle
Ott viskas hea killu ka ikka kohe-kohe minestavale Anettile "siin võid rahvale nüüd lehvitada ka" :D
😂😂💪🏼💪🏼🤙🏼
What did she speak in car?
Ott was just checking how she's doing and cracking a couple jokes in there.
Keep the ball on the target, "Roger ball" !!! nah that is a navy term.
Ott goes to play tennis with her before multiple times
You have a heart of stone 😂😅
Why she's shouting giving interview?
think
I was not surprised that she didn't scream, the Hyundai is painfully slow, I was surprised that Hyundai didn't brake down, even the steering wheel didn't came off and gear stick held it together.
This aged well… 2 wins in a row for Tanak and he keeps going
@@terzo9627 Nothing has changed. The characteristics of Finland, Belgium rallies are "softer" to the car. Just wait for the Acropolis rally, then we'll see the real hyundai again.
@@tanelo8875 yeah, no
@@tanelo8875 How u feel now?
@@tanelo8875 Hyundai 1 2 3 finish on Acropolis. 🤣😂🤣
she looks like she’s about to hurl
Maybe he's just drive only 50%..
Is it just me, or did anyone else think that wasn't very fast???
I think they would avoid the 200km/h straights in these stages with guest stars.
Haahah she looked afraid as she watched hell!
Also 3:20 when you have finished but He keeps licking...
Anett, it's very risky! Not good! ...take care.
he wasn't even going fast.. you can hear it..
Shakedown Winning time was 2:53.3 (Lappi) and run with Anett Kontaveit time was 2:56.3
Ott’s best time was 2:55.0 - 3rd run
