The late braking is what makes most people crap their pants. I’m sure every passenger thinks “we’re going to fast to make this turn, we’re gonna die”!!! She tried not to scream but it just kept coming out. What a genuine reaction.
nah best one I seen was when a nascar driver had a ride along in a V8 supercar and although he was use to the V8 power he still was packing it on how they get thrown around a track
That was SO GREAT I had to watch it twice!!! If I was the passenger, all you would see are my eyes wide, and the biggest smile the entire time! what a treat!
The belt tightening, visor down *V8 WAIL OF RPM* is just golden! She meant those thumbs up, he meant to give her a run for her money. In the end, a most epic in car shot of a driver totally in their element and a passenger questioning their own sanity on those thumbs up. but she didnt bitch, seems like she was more shocked at the sensory overload. Those cars are kinda docile sounding at idle but 8-8800 RPM in a flash of a half second takes ya by surprise, and then he stayed on it. Grade A, number 1, badass of badassery onboards....🤣🤣🤣
Been in 3 of these hotlaps, 2 with Lowndesy and 1 with Whincup. Her reactions are the exact same as mine, just without the screams lol. Heading down the back straight at QR and I remember thinking "there's no way you're going to make that turn..." 2 seconds later he's downshifting and with a flick of the wrist we have gone around turn 3 and are headed 180° the other way. As someone else said, these guys are true athletes beyond the "normal" persons comprehension. Credit to her, she took it like a champ. 🤙
Lol I have Jesse's front end and hood in my man cave and a wheel, have driven a v8 myself and plenty of go carting it's just what you do adrenaline and the love wash away any fears!!! Miss Jesse & wish him well spewing he is not with Haymen Reese don't hear much of him these days love the vid reminds me when I took my wife for a drive in Thailand in the wet in a double seater go cart exact same reaction just more screaming 😂😂😂😂😂
Props to Jesse for having a good eye for camera framing, many onboard RUclips videos have the GoPros badly placed or incorrectly set exposure wise. You either get a great view of the top of the windshield or you see nothing outside the car the minute some semblance of sun appears.
Most people do not understand the physical condition these drivers have to be in to endure these kind of forces for hours at a time. Athletes by any definition of the word.
I must say I think I saw your right hand think about tapping his leg to slow down but the best part was seeing your big, beautiful blue eyes & that high-pitched "pleasure-scream". SO proud of you~!
I agree with you about the late braking comment. Went for a ride with a guy from a local sports car club many years ago. I was crapping myself for the first minute until I realised what his car and his skills were capable of. Then I was laughing the rest of the way !
If I got a lap with a professional driver I would just be sitting there lapping it up and loving it. Nothing to be scared about. I love also how he isnt moving at all but she is all over the shop scared out of her wits.
Sit back relax and enjoy, the guy driving does this for a living, he wasn't really trying, I've been for a hot lap around a race track and a rally stage, it's genuinely exhilarating and a pleasure to sit alongside these guys
Driver is cooler than the Stig sipping a milkshake in the shade…love how composed he is while she’s choking on fear over there. 😆 😎 To her credit, if you’ve never been on a road course before with a fast driver: the G forces these things can produce, especially under late breaking and fast corner speeds, is enough to make normal people spontaneously vomit. 🤢 🏎 👍
I like this already and he's still buckling her seat belt... LMAO. Brave girl... she didn't TAP out. Credit to the guy who fastened her seatbelts. She was all over the passenger side, but held in place.
Took the GF to the GC500 yesterday. She's never seen motorsport live in her life. I've seen tons, all the Aussie circuits over 30+ years. Yesterday was fantastic. Been a few years between drinks on that regard. It blew her brain..... 😛😛😛 I'm going to buy her a V8 Supercar Experience at Norwell.
Sounds very similar to when a hungry cat wants to be fed lol! I like how as she gives the thumbs up her face is already very unsure that it's on board with what the thumb is on about.
I guess theres no fun in putting a decent passenger seat in with enough side bolstering & making sure the race harness is tight before trying to scare the crap out of an office secretary.
That was awesome she was screaming while giving thumbs up. They don't look like they're going very fast when you're watching from the grandstands but once you get in them it's a little different story.
Agreed! You should always exhale as hard as you can before giving the belts one final tighten. She was so nervous (and it’s a weird thing having someone in your face strapping you up) that the minute old mate was out of her face and closing the door she relaxed a little ... nek minute loose belts!
I believe they are not suppost to be 100% tight. They work as normal belts you have in your normal car. They will lock on when the car hits something or if he brakes hard. Not sure how they work but im sure there is a reason why the belt is not 100% tight.
My favourite parts are when she closes her eyes trying to hide from reality then the gforce of the brakes snaps her out her dream world like a dear in headlights.
BWAHAHAHAHA! That was so fucking hilarious! You could see she wanted to hit his leg but was too bloody embarrassed! Funny thing though, I had a ludicrous launch in a Tesla X recently and almost fainted with the torque! I wasn’t expecting it and actually had tunnel vision closing in, but he slowed down and I remembered to breath. Damn it was a freaking fast car.
Lol.. It's impossible to know how it feels to sit inside a racecar even if you can get a sense as a bystander.. First time i went with my buddy inside his fathers heavily tuned racecar i thought my skeleton was to leave my body.. Man i laughed so hard at this video i got tears in my eyes, sorry.. but job well done!!! I know what you went through and that horrifying feeling you're about to die any second Cheers
I took my GF to the GC500 yesterday. She had never seen a live motorsport in her 39yr life. Blew her fucking mind. I'm 57 and done tons of it. All of the circuits for decades, met all the drivers, blah blah I'm gonna shout her one of those V8 Super Car Experiences at Norwell. And REALLY blow her mind. 😛😛😛
Love how she give a single thumbs up before start up and just before entrance to track, but gives two thumbs up screaming while being forced up to the other part of her seat😜
I feel really bad for her...when you have never felt that kind of G force before...she isn't in a custom formed seat, so she felt everything, the hard braking in the corner's with the heavy accelerator did her in...my first time going from 0-60 in 2 seconds was a thrill but very scary!! it's one thing driving them speeds, and having full control over the situation...
Not really listen to her or looking at her. Listen to the motor and that car going through the gears and watching that shift work. What a real driving Pro and love the sound of that driving machine 👍
You gotta hand it to her. Despite all the screaming, wide eyes and sheer terror on her face, she did not complain even once. Well done!
there a terrifying ride i've only done it in sim but holy fuck real would be awesome
I don't think her brain could process enough info for her to complain lol
Bravery is not go go forth without fear, it is to go forth in spite of fear. She is one brave lady!
At least she doesn't let head flop around like most hot lap rides!
Give it a sec, shes still a woman.
I have the same reaction when my wife drives!
That comments nearly as funny as the video. Good one!
Actually, when [my wife] drives, I scream a lot more!
Hahaha instant classic
That made my day xD
Lmfao I don't let her drive for that reason I'm not afraid of anything except her driving lol 😂😂
This lady is pure gold. Not a word but every thought was loud and clear on her face. Thanks for letting them share. Huge effort to stick it out.
the driver tightening his seat belt and putting his visor down *race mode activated* is a good indication he was going to let it rip....loool
he closed his visor to drown the deafening screams.. he knew it would come
Calvin Latzel He never heard the screams as they were perfectly synced to that magnificent straight cut gear whine.
as soon as i saw the visor drop i just sat there going well your about to go for the run of your life
I don't think he let it rip he put his foot down but I don't think he was pushing as hard as he would in a qualifying lap
...he was KIND but wanted to give her a show as well!!! =)
Her screams matches the rpm
extra straight cut gear noises haha
No her screams are the shift indicator
😂😂
Look up racecar sex. Hilarious comparison to Asian girl and F1 car.
@@DrahcirSmada Not revving it hard enough!

I don't think not eating will help her make the turn. Oh my bad you meant too fast. ;)
@@minners71 TOO subtle for most!
overreact... shut up
Driver is good for constantly checking if she is ok 👍🏻👍🏻
What's funny is her responding with two thumbs up with a look of shear terror on her face.
2:58 she hadn't tapped out, he wasn't FULL on but he gave her a ride!!!
OHS? :-D
Her face is where all those emojis come from haha.
Justin Campbell ........haha perfect comment
I think that is the best passenger in car video I've seen to date , quality
nah best one I seen was when a nascar driver had a ride along in a V8 supercar and although he was use to the V8 power he still was packing it on how they get thrown around a track
@@jesteris25 Darrell Waltrip at Bathurst with Jason Bright.
That was fantastic. She seemed to have had a blast, despite being utterly terrified. All smiles and appreciation at the end. Good stuff!
I think these kind of videos make the average person realise how good these drivers are. Like myself . Awesome.
That was SO GREAT I had to watch it twice!!! If I was the passenger, all you would see are my eyes wide, and the biggest smile the entire time! what a treat!

Mad respect to her! She handled it well!
Those thumbs up are the least genuine thumbs up I have ever seen - hilarious! XD
I at first, thought they were her middle fingers!
I thought she's just letting him know Yes I HAVE SHIT MYSELF !!
Lol
My stomach hurts from laughing. And tears as well. Facials SO good. Epic.
This video makes me laugh... Even all these years later. 😂😂😂
"Give him a little tap and he MIGHT slow down" lol her expression changed immediately

Giving the thumbs up while she’s scared out of her mind😂🫶
I think shes pissed her self map off Tasmania
Huge respect to her! She was so scared and kept giving the thumbs up!
Our memories tend to be more prominent, last longer when we associate strong emotions to it. She’ll never forget this. That was beautiful too see.

I have never had to pause a video so many times to wipe the tears out of my eyes that was great
I love how she’s having a panic attack and he’s cool as a cucumber😂
Always come back here for the sound of this V8 beast. What a great racing machine!
Props to Jesse for having a good eye for camera framing, many onboard RUclips videos have the GoPros badly placed or incorrectly set exposure wise. You either get a great view of the top of the windshield or you see nothing outside the car the minute some semblance of sun appears.
Brave lady, a million and one facial expressions, bloody great
This is one of the greatest videos I've ever seen!!
I took my mum for a ride like that once in my rally car. Mum didn't talk to me for a month. Mum thought the rollbars and extra seatbelts were for show
@Just Gofish yer thats cool and very funny mate.
🤣🤣😉🤟
The best facial expressions I've ever seen on one of these videos!
Excellent, she will NEVER forget that ride. She'll be able to tell that story for the rest of her life. Bucket list.
@3:52 Driver even finds time to adjust the climate control for her comfort. What a lad.
Most people do not understand the physical condition these drivers have to be in to endure these kind of forces for hours at a time. Athletes by any definition of the word.
2:36 she did a fine job of mimicking the engine whine 👍
Straight cut transmission gear whine, not the engine sir
I saw that exact same look on my mother inlaws the day she unexpectedly dressed in Rottweiler.
I must say I think I saw your right hand think about tapping his leg to slow down but the best part was seeing your big, beautiful blue eyes & that high-pitched "pleasure-scream". SO proud of you~!
The reactions are priceless, fantastic driver, very entertaining to watch.

Aussie V8 Supercar, probably the best sounding car..... in the world!
Indeed
If I got a lap with a professional driver I would just be sitting there lapping it up and loving it. Nothing to be scared about. I love also how he isnt moving at all but she is all over the shop scared out of her wits.
The look of relief on her face as they entered the pits again and she knew it was over 🤣
she aged 10 years
This might be the greatest clip on all of yt.
Thanks much!🏁
look up "joao barbosa takes wife"
She didn't have any idea what she was really in for...what a trooper!
this woman got so scared that she even started to make brake noises
Kelly who? Her facial expressions are priceless.. OH its YOU the channel owner!! well done for not tapping the drivers leg to slow down!!
I could watch this over and over again
Bless her.. Not many have a pair..She will have a memory that Never will be forgotten..👍👍up..
2:56
She gives this ride 2 thumbs up! ...bug eyed after screaming her lungs out.
Love the way she starts screaming where she thinks the braking point is.
Welcome to what true power feels like Aussies are built different 🇦🇺
A ride along gives a insight into what the drivers have to do lap after lap for a very long time to be successful!
Thanks that was my best laugh in days. She is a lucky girl!
aww lol you mouth was twisting into the turns for the first few lol! awesome video, glad you had fun !
I love that. Mid-scream, driver gives thumbs up, she stops screaming gives thumbs up, then immediately goes back to screaming lol.
Sit back relax and enjoy, the guy driving does this for a living, he wasn't really trying, I've been for a hot lap around a race track and a rally stage, it's genuinely exhilarating and a pleasure to sit alongside these guys
What a trooper! Felt the fear nad still ran with it. Good work love!

They could of at least strapped her in right, the amount she came forward under brakes would have made that 10x worse.
That was awesome she was screaming while giving thumbs up. They don't look like they're going very fast when you're watching from the grandstands but once you get in them it's a little different story.
And I thought people only screamed when they got into vehicles that I was driving! :-D
I had the chance to do this both in one of these cars and a road spec R35 and it is mind blowing, really really mind blowing.
Is it just me or do her belts look loose
Her teeth are probably loose now.
I race, and I can say that, yes, her belts were definitely a little loose.
Her helmet strap was loose also
Agreed! You should always exhale as hard as you can before giving the belts one final tighten. She was so nervous (and it’s a weird thing having someone in your face strapping you up) that the minute old mate was out of her face and closing the door she relaxed a little ... nek minute loose belts!

The grunt of the V8 cutting in and out is music to my ears.
OMG! If a picture is worth a 1000 words her facial expressions are more than a mouthful!
Having her screaming after 5 seconds was unreal couldn't stop laughing
The sound oh my god the sound...
Has to be the funniest video I’ve watched for a while pissed myself laughing
Love how she give a single thumbs up before start up and just before entrance to track, but gives two thumbs up screaming while being forced up to the other part of her seat😜
Lol that's hilarious she looked very nervous at the beginning. Great screams she's having a ball.
This was hysterical. Bravo. Some people should just stay away from cars all together. “Faces of death” comes to mind.🤣
I reccon Jesse was on the radio "Might have to cut the day short boss.............this gearbox has one hell of a whine going on!!!"
Now that is the sound of pure terror!
I'm jealous!!
I do love the way she goes bug eyed every time she gets slammed into the harness as the brakes come on.
OHH THAT V8 GOT A SCREAMING EFFECT LOL CAN SEE SHE WANTED TO TAP OUT AT THE SAME TIME CUT OFF THE CLUTCH LEG CIRCULATION HEHE
Just like on Saturday nights, the screaming stops when she starts trying to keep the puke down.
The sheer terror of the breaking G’s is killing me 🥴😂😅
geez.. the guy at the end was in a rush to get the camera card out!
I make the same screaming sounds inside my helmet when I ride my motorcycle through city traffic everyday to and from work.
Holy shit I was not prepared for the screams of pure terror lmao!
I love how her eyeballs came out of her skull when he hit the brakes for the first time. I laughed real tears.
That's actually the look of pure terror, I love it
Brilliant video. Fair play to her for going out.
Those eyes are amazing so expressive

this is amazing lol. poor lady looks like she just saw that girl form the movie the ring crawl out of her tv :)
