New subscriber. You have an incredible set up. I worked at, years ago, a saw mill where we used the the old circular head mill to build the new building around the sawmill and then switched it over to a bandmill. Loved the work.
Really nice poplar! Sawed for 50 yrs, lusted after vert edger and lasers. Did get lasers a few yrs before I retired. ...... By the way my antique Belsaw wont saw that fast , or that big, still fun tho
Hello. Newby here. When you cut out a 1 x 4 and the board falls on belt with the 2 scrap top and bottom pieces. Does someone pull out good board and the scraps go on be be scrapped or is that some how automated? Thanks.
Oh nevermind I started from your first video and made it to "crew working on 20 footers" and found my answer. I will watch all videos before I ask again. Thanks. Tom.
Those are just cants which are the lower quality items. They’ll be re sawn and turned into pallets. However will find logs to saw the quality timbers with. You should look for my cabin video. It’s a great example

Nope!! It’s actually something that’s not going to make a lot of sense. Those teeth are almost done. Which means they’re as narrow as they can be. The tooth curf will become the same thickness as the saw. However, that’s when you can cut the fastest;) all that motors power is applied to a narrower saw curf, therefore you can go faster and faster up until the teeth are done!!
How in the he'll did you manege that!? I mean you're as busy as it gets , not yo mention you're dad trying to find parts , I mean wat the he'll brother you need need to breathe like anyone else!!! He'll im starting to like you more lol

The work will make you a man
It was slightly easier than growing up on a farm 🤣
Some impressive logs. Cranking out board feet.
Fun to watch. Thanks.
Incoming!! And I honestly I have to take it a little easy when I know the camera is going to
Some really nice looking poplar, excellent video, just love that mill.
Great sawing, lumber looks great. Thanks for the video.

Nice setup you have there and very efficient.
You are cutting some beautiful poplar!
It's great to see you using the circular sawmill not too many left here in Ireland
I love watching you saw lumber!
I really appreciate that sir! It’s only going to get better
I wish I could get a hold of some of that dark green colored poplar to make a few calls. It's kinda hard to get around here.@@Helmsburgsawmill
That is amazing that you get poplar logs that large that are not wind shook
South central Indiana is where it’s at

It’s okay😂😂 thank you for watching sir. I really appreciate it
That one log produced a lot of very nice lumber. What are the thick pieces at the last cut used for?
So by our standard that’s the lowest quality part in the log. They get shipped off and re sawn into pallets
Amazing mill! good video, would like a little better sound.
Watching the saw work with the top saw does the top saw retract or is it stationary?
It’s stationary sir
Love this edger set up that is really cool.
What is the popular used for?
That 4/4 Poplar is all getting shipped off, and will be turned into flooring, paneling, furniture, shelves, etc.
Also play this to fall asleep! Please comment back how it does for you
What are the big poplar timbers used for ?
Those are just cants which are the lower quality items. They’ll be re sawn and turned into pallets. However will find logs to saw the quality timbers with. You should look for my cabin video. It’s a great example
It wont take long to have the load of Poplar ready to go with that hungry mill. It says feed me😂
Getting ready to finish it😈😈
How many board feet do you average a day?
It just depends! The size of timber really dictates that! But big 12-14 ft logs, 10-12 thousand ft per day
Where is your mill located?
It’s located in Brown County Indiana!

Thank you for that! I’m sure others will enjoy reading this as well. And he is doing great:) he’s already getting the garden ready for the spring😂
Man that think it's eating like cotton candy, is that a new saw?

And I’m also in a lighter hardwood called Poplar
How in the he'll did you manege that!? I mean you're as busy as it gets , not yo mention you're dad trying to find parts , I mean wat the he'll brother you need need to breathe like anyone else!!! He'll im starting to like you more lol
My comment is: this is a wood saving/ money-making/time saving quality piece of equiptment🤪🇨🇱
The mill seems to be working faster
I have the saw cutting better and I’m in a softer hardwood;) It’s all manual
Is the poplar wood coming from an area that is being monitored and replanted as required by the BLM?
Do it👉 😎🇮🇩
The camera angle is too straight in line with the saw for too much
Woot the hydraulics got fixed! 🪚🪚🪚
