- I have been leading up to thos moment over the last few weeks showing you all a bunch of great USB tools that can get so many things done. Well, this week we are going to speak to the King of those tools, one that takes what those other tools started and builds up on it so much that I'd consider it to be the ULTIMATE computer USB.

Love you!
I'm interested. Does it come with a manual to teach me how to best use everything???
when you're booting using it there is a option it's F7 or F6 witch Basically show's you the Documentation.
Thanks for the review, I will mention we recently rewrote the site, its missing most of the documentation right now but we are working on it
Thanks for putting together such an awesome tool!
I noticed when I put together my usb it says 47 missing files.
I installed MediCat 5 min ago. Great video! From PR.
One of my biggest issues is with MS themselves and their predatory business practices.
"*Gets home network finally running* Yay! *Winduhs installs updates which not only reset all settings but re-enable functions I turned off*
OMG Pinball! Great video mate. I am back in the field so need a good toolkit. Appreciate the video.
Medicat looks super useful, I could have really done with a USB tool like this recently, too.
Your videos are always so informative and easy to follow!
I'm glad you like them!
So it uses Ventoy and Windows 10 and that Medicat menu is just the portable apps menu with medicat written on it with all the portable apps utilities. Looks good to put them all together like that.
Yes it's basically adding a helpful GUI to Ventoy and pre-packaging some ISOs into it.
@@_Caddac So you basically installed Medicat in this video. If you had other OS you wanted to add to it like you would in Ventoy, where would you put them and would they appear in the correct categories. In other words If I added a password hacking tool is there a folder for each category that I could place it in from a normal running computer by inserting the medicat drive and loading ISO files into specific folders, or does it sort them out itself and create categories for added ISO files as its own category?
@garryb374 it sorts them by the folders they're placed within.
love the straight face with the name tag
You didn't mention one thing about medicat: you can add or remove tools and iso's as you wish because ventoy is basis. What you have are tools you boot from usb and ventoy. Normally as you know you can have one bootable iso on usb but with ventoy size of usb is limit. Oh yeah, there is neat tool called ventoy plugson which will allow you to configure ventoy using gui and it will generate json file for you automaticaly. You can make something akin to medicat yourself.
You mean ventoy comes preinstalled on medicat usb. I have ventoy usb and I want to install medicat on it. Should I save all my isos somewhere else and install medicat. After which I van place them inside it again. Will that make those iso's 'bootable' again just as it did with ventoy?
@@binaryraptor You have ventoy usb already? You don't need to install medicat on it, you can just add iso images of tools found on medicat already to your ventoy usb. Medicat is in it's essence modified ventoy with bunch of bootble images. I have ventoy usb with with everything i need and that makes it my own personal version of medicat. To make you own version of medicat you need of course ventoy, you need iso from one ore more OS you'll need iso's from tools like clonezilla for backup or bootrepair you can use to fix boot loader for example. Don't remove ventoy from your usb just add iso images of tools you want to use and make your own personal version of medicat specificaly aimed at what you use.
AV flags many activators, etc as malware and has done so since the Win9x days. BTW Medicat, Ventoy etc can be installed to external SSD if you want the space and of course you can boot a Medicat or Ventoy'ed hdd installed on a test PC.
Good video, good tool. Subscribed boss!
Just tried this out. For some reason after completing the USB install (Samsung 256GB drive), I recieved all the "OK" in the file list. When booting though it just went to what I believe is a Linux Dos like screen with "GRUB".
I just came across some flash drives and thanks to you, i hsve a use for one of them. I need to dive into more of things like this. Thank you.
great, thanks to developers for this free tool.
Good morning Dimitri! I was looking for a tool to help me maintain my 2 PC's and Laptop. As I was browsing I found Ventoy, then I found Medicat through your channel. My question: Can consolidate my other USB's such as Windows Recovery, ISO's, etc into Medicat? I have a Windows Recovery USB for each PC and laptop.
You can add any additional ISOs you like to Medicat, including the Windows ISO
I tried to install medicat on a USB drive and now the computer won't recognize the USB drive
Go to "disk manager" then find the usb then right click then make new partition hit next next and your done
THE MINI 10 DOES'NT WORK? TRIED ON SEVERAL NEW & OLD COMPUTERS & MADE THE FLASH DRIVE 3 SEPARATE TIMES.
Great tool but can't access the network when in the Windows 10 environment.
I couldn't make it boot. With or without secure boot enabled, only UEFI or not. It doesn't boot. Aorus Elite/Ryzen7
I'm going to format the pendrive and do it all again.
Great video! Thanks
Hi Caddac, Awesome video very informative. Thanks mate. However I've a quick question, is it deployable on bare-metal cloud to diagnose user's VDI issues. If yes, is the same process?
I'm honestly not sure but you could always reach out and ask them about that. Hit up their Discord, the team is pretty active in there and somebody may have already tried doing this.
Is there anyway to prevent all of the false positive anti-virus whenever using metacat? Even with having all of them shut off IT STILL WAS WARNING ME about trojans and stuff and after allowing everything it finally stopped. I'm just wondering for future reference, if there is a easier way like whitelist the usb or something to do this say if I need to use it on a pc and for whatever reason am unable to disable the anti-virus?
After the initial USB setup I show in the video, the USB drive shouldn't be plugged in any time you're in Windows unless you're adding other ISOs to it. If you follow that, you should only need to disable AVS when the USB is being modified.
Hello, why I cant boot to mini windows 10, I use older pc to test all this features. Its Lenovo thinkcentre.
How about blue screen of death how i can fix?
Just FYI bottles doesn't let this work on Linux either. Seems pretty picky on the OS and version.
What's Medicat VHD and Second Opinion (under Mirrors)?
VHD is a virtual hard disk version of the program. It's not portable.
Second Opinion is a collection of bootable antivirus boot disks
INstalling MEDICAT NOW
Is it safe to just run this on your main personal computer?
Or if you install it on your USB does it simply run off the Usb? (Like windows runs on your C: disk) so that you can run it on whatever pc you use?
if you put it in a usb it can run on any pc, use ventoy to make it to the usb and then exctract the files from the .rar to the usb and done
Yes, it boots into the different operating systems on and from that usb.
this can be used to clone windows right? I just followed the rescuezilla vid and Im wondering if I should have this for future reference
Why has been flagged by numerous security vendors and labeled as a threat by Sentinel, VirusTotal and Intezer? Is still safe to by pass and install?
I explain everything at 2:49, as does the the installer and their website.
Despite having powershell installed when I run the installer it says can't find powershell, I'm stumped.
If i boot there is GNU GRUB 2.04. How to fix?
What a great tool man. Thanks for sharing..
i am sorry but do you have the worlds loudest clock behind you?
Otherwise great video and tool
I have one question ....
Why comes Windows Defender into action when I try to make a Medicat USB-stick.
Some people tell to disable Windows Defender but .... disabeling the Virusscanner ??????
It’s because virus scanners have a tendency to throw a false positive warning based on the way some software is compiled/created. There are tons of legit applications that cause Virus scanners to do this. The tool is legit and yes you have to disable the virus scanner if you want to install and use this software. It’s worth it.
I explain everything at 2:49, as does the the installer and their website.
What if I have other ISO's on my flashdrive that run from Ventoy. Is there a way to add Medicat so basically I am able to add the medicat ISO to the Ventoy menu. IE....I want to select which ISO I want to run.
So if you plug the usb after booting into an OS and navigate the drive, you'll be able to see the file structure and where the ISOs are located. I believe you can add additional ISOs to those folders but I haven't tried myself. Could always hop in their discord and ask as well.
@@_Caddacit interferes massively with medicat, so no, but why not partition the usb?
@@eltonimapstv1317 it's commonly asked about in the medicat discord and subreddit and people say it works fine.
I had no problem adding my ISOs. Created an additional directory and put them there.
yes i think this is a great set to utility tools I'm glad someone did this I'm definitely interested in using it
Yes I will create a Medicat USB Recovery tool
Great tut. This tool has helped me out a few times. Everyone should have a Medicat disk in their drawer.
22gb! seems a bit bloaty to me
Over 30 applications and 3 mini OS (one of which is over 5gb on it's own)
You can also delete any of the ones you don't care to use to cut down it's size. Or use Ventoy to have just what you want.
@@_Caddac Thanks for the reply. After a little more research I've added Hiren's Boot CD iso and System Rescue 10 iso to my Ventoy usb drive. It took me less than 5 minutes (3.8 GB). Not saying this is a solution for everyone.
Why does Medicat install to usb trigger multiple viruses on install by win11 defender ? Not installing.
Did you even watch the video?
2:30
Good, because it sounds like you shouldn't even be running a computer! Many of the applications show up as a threat to AV programs because of what they are "capable" of doing, not because of what they do! You'll get the same AV reactions with ANY All In One type USB repair programs. If you watch the video, you're informed it will react but is safe!
Customizable? is it possible to remove some tools that you won't use?
Yes. Just remove their ISO from the usb.
I have disabled antivirus and firewall
Can someone help me create the medicat usb as I have downloaded the 6 zip files with the batch file and I have used the batch and nothing seems to work I have even downloaded the single zip file version and I can get that to work to make the bootable usb .
Can someone send me the step by step what I need to do to create a bootable usb with medicat please?
Are you using Belena Etcher or something else, like rufus? This video is a step by step tutorial, showing even the simplest basics, that i would have cut out. I'm wondering, maybe the usb is alright, you have much likely problems with booting from an external devise, due to bios setting! Maybe try it on a different device, turn off secure boot and chose the usb device as bootdevice on the boot-menue
Where is your mentioned video from beginning? Thx

Sir I have a 64gb pendrive that I converted into ventoy
I have copied windows 10 & 11 & hiren too
Can I keep medicat in the same pendrive?
little problem here when I downloaded the installer Windows got all panicky and told me I had a trojan virus
When you run it?
do you really think I'd willfully run a program on my pc that has a virus in it?@@_Caddac
Medicat is neat but aged. Better then 2 years old. Now Hiren's Boot PE is only slightly newer.
I remember this from YEARS ago. I'm glad it's still around
Weird how software can continually be updated over time to keep it up to date. Medicat has a new release almost every month. Hiren's does the same.
At 4:44, you made one or more changes to the bios settings.
When I'm done with using medicat, how do I get my PC settings back to the way it was, as if I never ran medicat?
I made no change to the BIOS settings. I just manually choose a boot device to be the medicat usb instead of my windows boot drive.
And I also literally walk through the change to secure boot. If you change that all you have to do is the opposite. But it's not required.
@@_Caddac 🤣🤣
can this slow down my computer or stop programs from working properly?
It's full of viruses and malware.
No, it is not.
@@IvanOoze1990 reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal funny man. i hope whatever god you believe in forgets about you and you are left to suffer for the voids to come
@@IvanOoze1990 smh, why are people like you so illiterate? 🤷♂️
Anytime you have a set of programs compiled together from a 3rd party, it is normal for a virus scanner to trigger. Learn computers dude…
Real techs were using this a decade ago
This tool hasn't even existed for 2 while years yet...so no. There are other tools like this though but even most of those haven't been around for 10 years.
@@_Caddac Medicat has been around exactly 10 years. I am aware of all other tools like this, this stuff goes way back.
You're right. I just found the original. I was going off their website and GitHub dates.
Does Medicat include all of the options of Ventoy with it?
Such as?
@@_Caddac I'm not sure. I have never used Ventoy. I'm just wondering if the Ventoy included in Medicat is identical to the Ventoy that exists on its own?
Ventoy is just a tool to boot multiple ISOs which medicat uses as a backbone. You can add other ISOs to medicat and launch them like you would with the ones that come with the tool by default.
@@_Caddac I tried installing Medicat on my USB 3.0 drive. I have an older Dell Optiplex 390 that is MBR and runs in "Legacy" and cannot support "Secure Boot." I just came back to the computer and saw Medicat says "Everything is ok." It says "29652 files checked." There is a green check mark. But there is a red "x" that says "There were 43 missing files." In Windows Defender, it says two programs in particular were stopped. Those are "PUA:Win32/Passshow" and "PUADIManager:Win32/Installcore" What are your thoughts on this? Should I allow those programs with Windows Defender? What is the significance of having 43 missing files like that? Should I click on "Press any key to continue"? Or should I allow the PUA files in Defender first? In Defender "Protection History" it shows 39 files that were "Quarantined" today - presumably from that Medicat App. I actually clicked on "Press any key to continue" at that point, and it looks like the installation of Medicat was complete - presumably without the 43 missing files and the 39 files that were "Quarantined." What are your thoughts? I've run Windows Defender, Malware Bytes, and another antivirus program. They say the computer currently does not have any virus problems. What should I do with those 39 Quarantined programs? Should I "Delete" or "Block" them?
caddac give me a pc
Give me money.
@@_Caddac ahahaha
can you add Medicat to Ventoy?
You can add any of the ISOs that Medicat uses to Ventoy. Medicat is built using Ventoy as the backbone, it's just creating a GUI for it really.
@@_Caddac Thank you, would you please show a walk-through if I try to add Medicat along with Windows OSs and Linux to 1 ventoy?
@@aperson1181 you can't add medicat to ventoy. Medicat is using ventoy to function.
@@_Caddac Thank you, I thought you could because is a "Manual Install" option in the Docs on Ventoy's site, but I don't know how to do this.
Watch my ventoy video if you want to install that instead.
Is this lengthy video intended for "professionals"? It's so complicated manoeuvring through the "maze", for me, of "meaningless" pages, that I keep getting lost. Why can't just two or three actions be sufficient? That would be "easy", "simple", "straightforward" and "intuitive" and any number of other euphemisms indiscriminately used in connection with computers.
Very interested in Medicare! Thank you!
You can't do this on windows 7. So mad right now. Wanted 3 hours downloading 7-zip and trying to install "curl" waste of time. You need windows 10 to even make this thing.
Windows 7 hasn't had security updates (effectively unsupported) for over 4 years, you cannot be upset that a piece of software doesn't work on an outdated operating system that's past it's EOL.
@@_Caddachaha exactement. For win7 I would recommend hiren's boot cd or an older recovery environment from that era.
May Allah (S.W.T.) guide you and bestow upon you His Blessings; Ameen.
@@NazmusLabs it’s amen
@@kasaneteto3113 Islam is an update to Christianity. So Ameen is newer, more modern, and better 😉
@@kasaneteto3113, Amen is from Christianity,Ameen is from Islam. Don't comparable, they are different
Basically a Ventoy with a fancy menu and a bunch of pre-loaded software, some new, some old, some upgradeable & some not. Not that impressive.
Kind of like I mention it's a GUI built using Ventoy as the backbone...
Meh, it's better to make one yourself without the crap you don't want.
This is the worst, most bloated, outdated, duplicated, shareware/cracked, half working USB/WinPE tool I have ever used. Ever.
Bricked 2 laptops by just inserting this USB.
Yeah that's not how this works.
