@@roystrandberg2091 so far everything seems good to me! The biggest issue was the flickering which was resolved when I replaced the starter and the cable running to the starter and alternator
yeah I installed my marimotos on a black 997.1 recently too and they were also pointing down too much where at night for every bump it looked like they flicker. I also need to point them up a bit I need to refresh the fog lights to match.
@@chevoldavis I have the LN engineering kit which feeds oil to the IMS bearing so it doesn’t run dry and go boom. So it’s basically peace of mind. Get it done while the clutch it’s being done and do the RMS etc
@@NLG001 That's the one most people say to go with, definitely going to do that first just for the peace of mind. Probably should then do the clutch and flywheel too, maybe rear main seal since they'll be near there?
@@NLG001 Good point, just not trying to be that unlucky one lol. I might just drive it for a few months before doing the clutch, flywheel and IMS then. I also hear the warm weather cars are less of an issue.
@@chevoldavis I would think so, this car was from down south and the owner in NY had it for a few months before selling because she had a 911 and didn’t have room for the one she bought
It’s not for everyone depending on taste, but mine actually had the halogens which were too outdated and dull. Now I get multiple compliments on the car’s looks from passerbys and I can actually see at night 😂

Thanks for the great post. Just installed mine and they need adjustment as well. Good tips.
Thanks for posting. These lights are tempting.
@@roystrandberg2091 I think they’re worth it
@@NLG001 you've had them in for a few months now... any problems to report? Everything still snug, holding alignment and not losing intensity?

I have them for my 997.2 they made tye car looks 100% better
They look clean! How much are those?
They were about 1800 but I think are coming down in price a bit
Did you get the IMS bearing replaced? I know people worry about that and I'm about to purchase a 997 and I'm a little concerned.
@@chevoldavis the later the model the less likely it will fail and even still the failure rarely occurs from what most people report

weird seeing a 997 without factory xenons.
