I'm not sure if you'll read this, but in case you do - I just wanted to say I completely understand your pain with chemistry (I sat the reformed AS last year). Honestly, I had the exact same thing where I felt like however much I revised it just didn't sink in, and I kept getting Cs in all my mocks which I really wasn't happy with, but then literally a couple of days before the exam it just all started clicking into place, and I somehow managed to come out with a really high A. The thing which helped me was to just remember everybody is in the same boat - chemistry is hard for everyone, nobody has enough past papers to prepare themselves, and you've given it your best. Your positive attitude is so inspiring; take that into your exam with you. Chin up, you've got this 😊❤
That exam flow thing is really interesting. It's definitely important to get that balance between being in the flow but also taking time to use your brain. I always feel like when an exam starts my brain is going to fall out and I won't be able to think for myself. It's taken me until my second year of uni to realise that it's permissible to stop and think in exams. Good luck with revision everyone!

It's like my mind goes blank and I start feeling like everything I've learned is leaving my head. And you're so right about time management and planing your answers before writing them down, I think it's the key to giving coherent and complete essays. I'm doing A2 maths, physics and further maths exams over the next few weeks, I'm soooo glad I took maths subjects, don't have to think about structure of your answers in the same way as English at all. Great vid 😄

stg that mode where it's just an outer body experience and you forget everything outside of that exam paper has the same energy as when you're cutting wrapping paper and the scissors glide. Like time just stops for a bit and it doesn't even feel like it's been two and a half hours. I kind of love it because when you come out you literally don't remember anything that just happened. It's a wild mental place

Ellen Felicity I had to do it for the mocks last month . It's because people are able to put notes etc in the strap of the watch or something like that so people have cheated
Excellent advice. The worst part of exams for me was always waiting to be let into the room. I may sound completely weird, but I've always quite liked exams, as a period of time with no distractions and just one thing to work on at a time.

i honestly get so stressed before my english lit exams but when i finish them i look up, breathe and everything just culminates into this one blissful moment of knowing ive actually done alright and its such a good feeling, i also hate revising straight before exams, getting into the zone 20 minutes beforehand and focusing on yourself in the exam is so important
english lit is the best subject but the worst for the exam i get sooo scared for the exams but then when the timer starts its so weird all my stress like evaporates and ideas and quotes come back to me that i havent looked at in ages its so weird and then when im done its like whaat
12am the night before and I've found myself back here, genuinely been crying all night I'm absolutely petrified, more stressed than I've ever been before. I'll update when it's done, praying for the best
