I'm doing a Geography degree - the best advice I can give is plan answers - if you already have a plan for what you can write then you can apply it in the exam much more easily and adapt it! It's great to know all the content but if you can't structure it you aren't going to do as well as you can! - obviously this only applies to essay subjects but couldn't recommend more! I've finished all my uni exams now but good luck to you Jade and others who have them coming up! 💜

The perfect revision break haha💓 I have a tip if anyone is interested... put a stopwatch in every time you sit down to revisit and time how long you spend working in the day (turning off the timer for breaks). This really helped me realise how long I was actually spending working and how long I was spending being unproductive haha! Also, if you're prone to over working (like me) it can help you not burn yourself out - I make sure I stop as soon as the timer hits 10hours🙈

I recently found your channel and I love your tips! I wish I was as mindful and academically aware as you are back when I was in high school hahaha. I'd like to add though, as a psych student who did an entire assignment on learning styles, please don't be afraid to try styles you think don't suit you! It has been evidenced that changing styles/strategies according to task demands/subjects are WAY more effective. Our preferences are not always accurate, and a large reason why the learning styles trend is so profitable is because it appeals to our fascination with clustering humans into dichotomies/distinct groups (e.g. it boomed in popularity shortly after the Myers Briggs personality test). It started off as a business idea anyway, so they had to maintain this appeal even though research said otherwise, that humans are more of continuums than distinct characteristics. So go ahead and try auditory styles, I don't consider myself one but the recording tip really works! Just don't overload on study/memory enhancing strategies, there's a cognitive fallacy for that where there are too many memory associations it becomes confusing :-)

The whole chocolate tip, and you may of heard of the chewing gum trick (chewing the same gum when you're revising and when you're in the exam) should, in theory, work. It's all about context dependent forgetting and remembering, it acts as a cue to remember something. Like when you forget a word you're trying to say and then see a sign that sounds the same as the word and you suddenly remember, the chocolate acts as a cue :) good luck everyone !

Ahh just had a 3 hour AS geography exam today and it actually went really well! I'm so relieved 😭
My first GCSE exam is on Tuesday and I honestly don't know how I feel about it. I don't think I'm worried or stressed enough and I don't know if it's a good or bad thing 🙃
