Always a great time when we’re checking out some more Bob Seger!!! And one of his rockers?! Even better!! What are other one’s we gotta hit from him?! 🙌🏻🔥
Song is heard, graded,
in copyright Livestream,
a moment, then gone.
(Matsuo Bashō : Haiku : 1669)
Come To Poppa is a must!
Bob Seger Get Out of Denver would be another great Bob Seger song to check out from 1974
Main Street is his one single best song, but it's not of the esteemed "banger" category. It might bore the shit out of you guys, but us geezers get it 100%.
Live is better with Seger, always. Best live act back in the day. Certified banger and a slash song (which is always a crowd pleaser) Travelin Man / Beautiful Loser from Live Bullet. It's an absolute must!
You guys will like "Her Strut".
I couldn't say how many times I watched women strut to that song.
Add Joe Cocker's "You Can Leave Your Hat On" to that list
Yes! Definitely Her Strut
they do respect her but
@@mrheem44 They love to watch HER strut!
Glenn Frey cofounder of the Eagles was a 17-year-old kid who was pestering Bob Seger back when Bob was making his first record in Detroit. On the chorus of Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man you can hear Glenn Frey come in with the high harmony vocal on the chorus, which I think is one of the best moments in the song… Keep up the great work guys… But find these little bits of trivia and see if you can sprinkle them into your listening… I think the viewers would appreciate these types of insights!
The medley of "Travelin Man / Beautiful Loser" from the LIVE Bullet album should be your next Seger.....
^^^^ I've been lobbying for this for a while
I've been begging for this for a long time.
Best Seger tune ever is here.......Travelin Man/Beautiful Loser Live
Exactly what I was going to say.
these are good songs apart but when combined the way they did it is unforgettable
"Ain't good looking, but you know I ain't shy."
Favorite line in the song
Glenn Frey..Lead singer of Eagles, did the background vocals on this song. They were good friends, and Glenn was very young. You can hear its him bolting them out. 💙
Frey was playing bass for Seger in high school 'til his Mom found his stash.
You can especially hear him very loudly on the first "RAMBLIN' MAN ... Gamblin' man".
@@dggydddy59 Yup! It's in an Eagles documentary. A great rock moment.
Yep. Seger and Frey...Two fine Detroit boys...!
Did not know. Thank you
One of my favorites is "Come to Papa". Banger!
Glenn Frey on backup vocals when he was just 18 🙌🙌🙌 "cuz I was born lonely Down by the Riverside"🎶🎶🎵🎧
I’m 70. Rambling Gamblin Man my all time favorite❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
hi love iam 70 too
Mine, too!!!!! 🎶✌️😎🎶❣️
"Strut" is a rocking banger also "The Fire down below" Bob can Rock!!!
Strut is one of my favorites, Fire Lake as well.
@@TheInfurnos two of my favorites also!
This 👆
Yes, these two songs, plus Come To Papa.
“The Bob Seger System”
Very cool song and now, more than 50 years old. We had it so good back then.
I moved to Michigan nearly twenty-one years ago, and when I hit the state line, they handed me my complementary copy of Live Bullet.
Nice. In Florida we had to buy it. I've had the vinyl, 8-track and CD versions throughout the years.
As it should be..
I'm 21, lived in Michigan my whole life and you literally learn about Bob Seger in the school textbooks. By the time I was 13, I was handed my first record player and was given "Night Moves" and my journey began. I've seen Bob live 4 times and met his entire Silver Bullet Band. Bob Seger is THE culture of Michigan lol
As a life-long Michigander of a certain age, if you don't have this album, you're living in the wrong state. 😂
Lol
YES!!! This is my all time favorite Seger song. I grew up in the Detroit area and Bob is a legend here. 😁😁💯💯
OK, this is good, HOWEVER...
you just need to do a "Live Bullet" full album reaction at Patreon. DO IT!
Do it. I hv to get on that Patreon. I don't want to, sick of making accounts. But for this channel, I may.
And I know you have at least one copy of Live Bullet. I wonder if Mr Seger would do a bit of an interview. I know he’s retired, but would like what little concert footage is around to get out where we and young people can see them.
100%
Live Bullet is the GOAT live album imo
👍 yes
"Ain't good-lookin' but y'know I ain't shy..." ---that's the kind of guy I LIKE.
It’s a little goofy, but “Katmandu” is a full on Seger vocal blowout.
That song is a Banger for sure!!!
Absolutely a must for the real Seger fan
Katmandu is a classic!
Agreed! Live version for sure!
Nothing goofy about Karmandu...
Back in the 60’s prior to the Silver Bullet Band, Bob called his group: the Bob Seeger System. He performed this on a show called Hullabaloo. He was way ahead of his time. Nothing like a smoking Hammond B3! Thank you for listening to this. Have a great Wednesday. God bless.
Seger's introduction to the world...no bullshit, raw, honest rock and roll.
Bob anytime anywhere every song He IS the real deal !! saw him live in concert 3 times and it was mind blowing !!!
Her Strut.... i shouldn’t need to say anything else...
"Feel Like a Number" is another rocking banger
Live Bullet is one of the best albums ever made. The breakdown interludes that Seger makes are priceless... "I was reading Rolling Stone, where they said Detroit audiences are the greatest rock'n'roll audiences in the world...Shit! I've known that for ten years!!"
Lived in Ann Arbor listening to his musical genius when his band was Bob Seger System..love him
Known that for 50 yrs.
“We’ve got the 16 track tape machine rolling out back. If you sign with me, I can’t guarantee it, but you just might end up on an album”!
And the crowd goes wild...
Yep, the Rolling Stone mention happened during Nutbush City Limits. Bob snarls pretty good in this one
He'll he says it right in the middle of the album.
Oh Alex...you're so frickin cute, and Andy is mysteriously more than he lets on...always watch out for the quiet ones! 🤣 Love you guys, aloha fro Hawaii. 🍹🍹🍹
Fellas, this is the wrong version! You need the live one from Live Bullet
Absolutely the Live Bullet version is the one!
This! Everything Seger is better live.
There's no wrong version, but yeah, the Live Bullet one is great.
Yep, should have read a few comments before posting the same, lol.
Live Bullet is awesome, but I love this one too. It was just three guys and they were kind of thrown together on a live TV show in 1969. Bob is holding microphone in one hand and playing the organ in the other while he sings. Haha then there was the bass player and the drummer. He was gorgeous and it was just awesome I don't care how loose it was it was just right.
"Katmandu" and "Against the Wind" are two of my favorites. Two VERY different songs, but Seger sings both SO well...
Yes, but you have to do the studio version of "Katmandu." He goes real low which he dowsn't do on the live version and also he skips a verse. "I got no quarrel with the midwest, the folks out there have given me the best, I've lived there all my life I've been their guest, I should have loved it too."
Listen to live version from Live Bullet. It's even better.
Or listen to the whole Live Bullet album
Been telling them forever...lol!
The live version is much better
this
Yes. Go live.
Love how excited you guys are and I really appreciated it. Bob Seger is one of my favorite rockers
I recently danced like no one was watching to this song. Long story short, my court date is pending. But I'm feeling better, and the bandages are coming off soon.
Please post the video!
Would love to see it.
And these guys could do a reaction too.
WIN WIN!!!
This is the best comment I have EVER SEEN!!!
@@marshabrown2561 Pic or didn't happen, right? This is only slightly and jokingly true ;)
@@susanklasinski1805 Next time, let me know and I'll have bail money at the ready
@@mischiefmanaged444 ❤️
Throwing my support behind *"Her Strut"* and *"The Fire Down Below"* for your next Seger songs
Try Katmandu off Live Bullet. It rocks in a similar way to this one.
YES!!
I second that motion.
Kkkakakkatmandu!
THIS ALL DAY!!!!
Agreed!!!!
Guys, this song has been around for a longgg time... 1969..you guys should look up the video... Bob is on the Keyboards... It's my FAVORITE SONG FROM BOB SEGER... Thanks for airing it on YT...
Bob seger just like Steve Miller is an everyday working man's band these guys are so great they will play huge venues and they will also go to small intimate venues where their fans are in the same tour they are just really down to earth great guys in both bands. I've been lucky enough to see both of them four times.
@Dave King 👑 Well said. Perfect & true.
Miller never had an album as big as "Night Moves," however - but he sure made some big waves.
Yep !
3 times for me. Not enough.
Miller isn’t as good a storyteller
Tryin' To Live My Life Without You - This is my favorite Bob Seger. Definitely has it all!!
Roll Me Away by Bob Seger there is a official video of him live. You should react to him live. He is one of the best live artists ever.
I can vouch for that! Seen him in 78'...glorious, rockin' time!
Good one, but a ballad. They are asking for some straight bangers for a while. We gotta rem that. 👍
I'm sure you guys are aware of the fact that most artists best songs are NOT the ones that were radio hits. "Feel Like a Number" is a flat out banger with incredible lyrics. It has to be next. Trust me on this one. You will not be disappointed!
Bob is the MAN! Try Feel Like A Number.
All of Bob's songs are "his best" songs. He's a master of his craft.
This gal is in the house! So much more Bob Seger to discover. Brave Strangers, Roll Me Away, Her Strut....
Keyboards, Bass, Drums, and Seger. That’s it. Gotta love it!
You have to do the Live Bullet album. That whole album rocks with high energy! You will LOVE it!
Yeah, I know. This is like the 99th time I’ve said this. LOL. But I simply can’t give up until you get it done. Love you guys! Keep rocking!
Yes YES yes I was there best show ever
People who know this album cant understand why people don't know it, his songs after this album were great but went into a diffrent direction from this album.
I'm sure I wore out about 3 8track tapes and a couple of albums.
One of the greatest live rock albums of all time from start to finish a great show.
the shortest and sweetest song of all times. Bob Seger knows what he be doing. He does a cover of an old blues song called COME TO PAPA that is pretty amazing, too.
Damn, gentlemen! He got you too. You did not stop smiling during the entire song. Lifelong Seger fans in under 3 minutes. My personal vote for the most swagger in rock. P.S. Alex if you want a top 10 song pick, you need to check out Katmandu. That song will get you through more stuff in life than you can possibly imagine.
Really something when an artist's best song is his first one!
Rock and Roll Never Forgets. A must!
Personal favorite for me too Alex! And that's Glenn Frey singing his ass off in the background.
Strut next. Banger for sure...plus, I just Loooove hearing that man say my name! 😍
One of Bob's first concerts was at my dad's high school so he was one of the first to see him perform. Never imagining Bob would go on to become one of the best acts of his generation.
"Where do we go next with Bob Seger?" So many options; Katmandu, Get Out of Denver, Nutbush City Limits, Fire Down Below, all can't miss "bangers."
LIVE VERSIONS
Oh yeah Katmandu is a banger for sure
You'll never be able to hear the word Katmandu again without singing it.
In that order would be great!
Kathmandu and Nutbush
I have a very sweet note from Bob somewhere in my attic, written shortly after this song came out. I was just 16 & too wary to respond. But to this day I still smile when I think about that note.
I love that y'all are loving his music. All the suggestions you're getting are worthy!💙🌿💚
Another short Bob Seger banger is Betty Lou's Gettin' Out Tonight.
That song is really underrated as a rocker. Love that song!
Incredible sax from Alto Reed on that one.
!!!!!!!!!!!! "SUNSPOT BABY" and "FIRE DOWN BELOW" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When Alex loves a song, he really loves it. Such a smile on his face!! I knew you'd like it
Didn't see any mention of "Come to Papa," and it's worth a mention. Bob being bold, funky and a little dirty.
The version from Live Bullet is quintessential.
More Bob Seger - Katmandu, Rock n' Roll Never Forgets, Still the Same
Bob’s live shows and albums are legendary, so when he’s got a track on an album that sounds like a live, unrehearsed version, you know you are in for a treat! 🙂❤️
So lucky we grew up in Lincoln Park (Michigan) listening to Seger from his beginnings.
Nice! I have to give Alex an 'S' for his reaction. Love this song. A+ for sure. Next one you have to do is "Travelin' Man/ Beautiful Loser" live from 'Live Bullet', another A+ and Andy will be happier with the vocals. Cheers Gents!
Down on Main Street is one of his best!
As many others have commented,if you liked this, you will love the live version from his first live album "Live Bullet".Every song on it is amazing. You should definitely listen to the whole album.
Great song choice!! Seger is always top notch. "Rock And Roll Never Forgets", and "Katmandu" and "Nutbush
City Limits", I could go on....but you get the picture.❤
Nutbush
@@ChrisLawton66 oops, thankyou.
Damn, I forgot Nutbush when I recommended Katmandu. You're so right. I also wish they'd put on Feel Like A Number.
Yes, he does a great rendition of Nutbush City Limit. Good song choices, all.
I lived in Ohio. Only 50 miles from Detroit...Seger’s home. When this song came out, it was SO REGIONAL and we didn’t even know it. When it was still radio-fresh, family moved to Nashville for about 9 months. While there, I called the radio request line. They had never heard of this song. Ha! We freaked out because of what they were missing out on. That’s how Bob worked his ass off. He knew he was damned good and we got to watch him grow from that to now worldwide. What a songwriter!
Bob Seger - Old Time Rock n Roll!
Alex is looking really good. There's been a transformation since last year.
Killer. You guys should hit some Steve Miller. For Seger, I'm gonna toss you a curve. Mainstreet, from the Night Moves album. Bob's voice is killer, the lyrics are amazing and its like no other Seger you have heard! Peace
Everyone dial up "Her Strut" on your music app. "She's totally committed to major independence" Alex and Andy, she's ready for you!
Are they old enough to listen to such a Saucy Jam!
Live version where it goes right into Beautiful loser is a must listen . One of the best live albums of all time .
“Come to poppa” is one of my favorites, but you can’t go wrong with any of his songs
Bob Seger is my favorite singer, songwriter and storyteller ever. Try"come to papa","her strut","travelin man/ beautiful loser","Katmandu","Betty Lou's getting out tonight" are a few rockers. "Shame on the moon","famous final scene","like a rock","fire lake" are a few great ballads ☮️
My first concert was Bob Seger in 1978 in Detroit, my last, two years ago in Houston. He's always been "the man" to me.
Main Street for top level melancholy, Nutbush City Limits for pure sass
"I Feel Like a Number" REALLY rocks it old school! Ya gotta do it!
Bob Seger had 3 big hits in Detroit before this song: East Side Story, 2 + 2, and Heavy Music--all worth a listen. This was his first national hit and many of us from Detroit thought those earlier songs were better, but we were glad to see Bob make it big. I think he's one of the best song writers of all time. In 1968, at a big Eastern Michigan University fieldhouse, the Bob Seger System opened for Iron Butterfly---what a mind-blowing show I will never forget!
Wow, that must have been great. I seen him at Cobo Hall..Detroit Rock City 🤘
I was at that show too!!!! Blew me away fo' sho'..When I moved to San Diego in 1971, I shared with friends the album that is featured on the wall..they became fans..He also had hits like Lucifer (hate the name) Persecution Smith and the ones you mentioned..and my personal favorite Heavy Music..I was thrilled when Bob hit it big with Night Moves, and went National..and to think he was a part of our Michigan soundtrack in the '60's..good times
“Her Strut” 🔥🔥🔥
You can have your funky world, see ya round....
Damn. I really hear the Mitch Ryder influence all over this one. Love it! You guys need to check out Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, CC Rider/Jenny, then Devil in a Blue Dress/Good Golly Miss Molly, then head straight over to Springsteen doing the "Detroit Medley" live during the River tour. You're being fed from the rock and soul family tree.
A lot of us Olds remember this blasting out of our radios. The opening drum beat did it for us immediately.
Such a fun song - a Michigan BANGER! 🎧🤘🥁
Thank you fellas for finally getting to this banger! Short but great, i believe it was a Hammond B3, bass and drums for instruments. Glenn Frey from the Eagles was one of the background singers too!
"You can keep your funky world,
See ya 'round......"
Katmando and Feel Like A Number are classic bangers from Bob & the band.
One of my FAVORITE SONGS!!!!
That song was SO made to be played live. "Katmandu" live is pretty amazing too, and you might pull up "Come to Poppa" for a studio cut banger.
Bob’s “Katmandu”!! Super banger!! 🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼
Katmandu from "Live Bullet"
"Two plus two" is another Bob Segar song in his early career. Very good.
Katmandu "studio version" is a Screaming Banger
Dudes!!! This kick-ass banger took me back to my freshman year in college at Kent State (1977) when we played the Silver Bullet Band Live album (and especially this song) relentlessly! If you haven't already checked out the other song in this medley, Beautiful Loser, you MUST. Another great one off this album is Katmandu - it will kick your butts.
If you guys think this is an "s" song, then the live version with Beautiful Loser is S+++!
Check out - Come to Papa and Her Strut....they weren't played on radio much, but they are both rockers!!
BANGERS: Come To Poppa, Fire Down Below, Bo Diddley Let It Rock. On and On it goes.
"You can have your funky world." I wish you guys could have seen him in concert back in the day. BEST CONCERT I EVER SAW, AND I SAW A BUNCH OF 'EM!!
Check out the songs Kathmandu and Get out of Denver from the Live Bullet LP and Hey Bo Diddly from Smokin’ OP’s
One of my favorites is , ‘Come to Papa’ . Great song. And you really really need to do the whole ‘Live Bullet ‘ album.
Bob Seger’s ‘Night Moves’ album is another great album. Not a bad song on it!
2:04 minutes in, Alex is GROOOOVING feeling it already!
Alex’s face was smiling so big like he was a kid in a candy store. Andy always gives the stank face 😂❤️
Heavy Music is a killer tune off Live Bullet as well. Doesn't get the love it deserves, an 8 minute banger.
Love the lyric " Ain't good looking but I ain't shy" As much as I like this song, I'm personally more partial to the night moves vibes. I highly recommend Beautiful Loser and Shame on the moon in that vein. For a more rockin' vibe, as many others have suggested, you can't go wrong with Kathmandu or feel like a number. I freaking love Bob Seger
Travelin man / Beautiful Loser from Live Bullet. These two songs ( together ) were always included in his live set when he toured.
Yeah, this was a super banger when it first came out. This made you want more Bob Seger right out the gate! The only thing bad about this song? It's not nearly long enough....an "S' for me also!
“Get Out Of Denver” another Great older Seger Tune
An understated gem of his that needs to be listened to: The Fire Inside
