@@epsteindidntkillhimself69 Should give Red’s the Covenant Reward too. On the flip side, Red’s DCing or black crystaling should give Hosts and Blues their rewards. ESPECIALLY blues lmao.
@@RanOutOfSpac That is true. Those poor blues. All they want is Moonlight Blade. I'm more concerned with the penalty to the host though. Even though a death isn't much of a penalty, having that would eliminate the main incentive people have to DC; the fact that there is no punishment for doing so and they don't have to risk an ember. People have argued with me that "oh, that's too harsh. If they lose an ember for DCing, then they might get frustrated and drop the game, and its hard enough to find people to invade as it is.", but its still a net gain to everyone if those particular people decide to drop the game or play offline. As an invader, I would rather have to wait a few more moments to find an invasion than have to go through 2 extra loading screens between most invasions. And from a co-op perspective its just disrespectful to get summoned to help the host, and then get kicked out of the world the second an invader comes. Players who DC provide nothing but an obstacle to anyone who actually wants to play the game.

I got one the other day where the host and his three sunbros all tried to rush me at once. The first phantom died in two swings of the Old Wolf Curved Sword and it just became a long game of killing phantoms and the host resummoning them. It was a very satisfying win.
@@WolfHreda Ah, a fellow enjoyer of the Old Wolf Curved Sword. A few months back I encountered a gank where the host and his two over leveled phantoms just camped in that little room with the ladder after Pontiff's boss room. They just stayed there using whips to attack through the walls and taunting us invaders. After several invaders died to their cheese, a fellow invader and I decided to combo them with Millwood greatbow and Gundyr's halberd. We forced them to retreat out of that room, and none of them could hold themselves in a 1v1. It was a satisfying point down afterwards.
@@WolfHreda: Hm, the Old Wolf Curved Sword isn't that strong. Was the phantom supposed to be a glass cannon build? With mine it usually takes four to five hits to kill someone of course if you..well for me I do r1, r1, l2 because they try to parry and when I get the stun they panic roll away and then I jump attack forward r2 and it roll catches them.

I've heard gankers only point down when they kill you. Maybe that's why I've never seen it. :P

It's always funny when a host points down at you because the reason for it is usually they're salty that you inconvenienced them by invading. Or that you didn't have the courtesy to lay down and die for them.
They'll die anyway, so doing that is just gonna determine whether or not I throw shit at them. Pretty pointless lmao
Regular dung pies < Stalk Dung pies. Also love dropping some stalks after a riposte or backstab and then just casually walk up and drop poop on their face while they get up. Really would be nice if that dealt at least some damage. Or blurred their vision.

Onyx blade “too hot for you” guy, should have hit you in his last swing, well, he would have with most other weapons at least, I don’t recal onyx blade hit box being particularly picky, that last swing of his should have caught, might have been a latency thing, might just have been a bare miss.

People think invaders are toxic, and of course some are, but in my experience if you just gesture nicely and don't act salty, you usually won't get a point down or any shit thrown at you if you lose. Hosts though? They will run up to 3v1 you while you're bowing and then do the point down spin on your corpse. More often anyway. I've met some real nice hosts.
What if the "point down" was set as the default gesture and he just automatically pressed it?

Eehhh..about the same, it's just PC has mods where you can invade anywhere at anytime. What Chase does with the dust he scatters in the air.

Dude I only play DS to invade people and I've been doing this for quite some time. It's just crazy how like 75% of people are just trying to 3v1 you like a bunch of pussies and then run away to resummon when its 1v1. Also feels super good to wipe them all sometimes.
