Yes, I also have played this game for 1000s of hours the old Edition and the remastered one are both platinum and have also cleared the game with only bow, only miracles, only sorceries and only pyromancies. Also I have extra Accounts for some extra ones like a heavy knight(strg), scythe User (dex), and other little ones but I guess the most absurd one is the one where I have most hours in I am in ng+23 there. it is in the old one though, and have collected literaly every collectible to 99 and max in the chest. While my Level is not max, I do have every Single armor, ring, spells (dlc included). I can even map out the complete map, with all the Crystal liazrds, bosses, common enemys, what drop, how many of them what quality (I mean souls) in my head. The only thing that I don't know accurately is how many souls which enemy Drops since they change with ng+,the chest and silversnakering. I am currently stuck on Gwynn (that guy just has too much health, oneshots me and I suck at parrying) so can someone tell me why the fuck I didn't know they can be parried? I guess i did waste a lot of time not trying those things. It seems the saying you never stop learning is right.😅

I really enjoyed how this went from being a "normal" dark souls challenge run into this wonderful roleplay, it added so much character to the video and made it feel special!
I am not going to lie, no matter what challenge lemon is doing what I love the most in his videos is his storytelling. The way he depicts the wavering faith in this miracle run or the spiraling madness of the molotov run. It is those moment what in my opinion set him apart from the rest and certainly the reason why I keep coming back to this awesome channel!

Honestly I'd just watch videos of you doing basic run of Dark Souls just to see the stories you come up with. This one was near perfect. I just love this kind of challenge runs and it is always interesting because you sometimes get (useless) information which is fun to know about. But why do you never increase your vitality? You should not be surprised if it sometimes gets close...
Because faith is all you need!! All the health in the world wouldn't have beat Gwynn. It was the lack of vitality, and faith in the red tear stone that saved the day.
Because vitality is wasted stats. Once you get good enough at dodging to not get hit, health doesn't matter. And since health doesn't matter, pumping it higher is just wasting stats you could have put elsewhere.
I love these videos for the building narrative. Begining of the video: i will eventually reach soft cap at 50 faith and then ill need to get specific items for DA DPS End of video: why believe a God's dying flame when i will be the one to rekindle it Its just so good and to me it parallels the rabbit hole of dark souls. You start just playing the game, checking stats, slaying baddies but after you're immersed, you're watching youtube lore videos and reading item descriptions
I used to HATE dark souls (not the game just how hard it was and how bad at it I was) but after watching your videos I've learned to enjoy that difficulty curve and learned timing and signs of attack better. It's actually helped me get better at all of my other games

if you start as Thief and get black firebombs, you can glitch the asylum demon without technically 'killing' him but still get the key to escape, while still having the master key in your back pocket for later

I'm doing a challenge run where that's one of the two spells that I can use, I am stuck on Smack and Sparky because Sparky keeps jumping out of the AoE! It does do 600 - 1k in damage per cast.

This is my comfort challenge run, I always like helping people out at the Gargoyles so I can get the Great Lightning Spear miracle early!

He doesnt use glitches in his runs so that wouldn't work. When GW did it, he did specifically state that the challenge starts when he reached Firelink

Edit: You have no idea how bad the sword dance is. I'm doing a challenge run where that's one of the two spells that I can use, I am stuck on Smack and Sparky because Sparky keeps jumping out of the AoE! It does do 600 - 1k in damage per cast.
