I miss Infinity so. MUCH. The best COOP experience back in the day, I met the most awesome players, we made a Facebook page with the Founding Members that played ACI from day one. Too bad it's gone, coop doesn't exist on 7 and stuff :( The fuel system was a bit troublesome, but there were ways around it while still being free to play.
I'm honest, this game would be awesome on PC. I think it was a mistake to shut it down, it had a lot of potential plus it was kind of friendly challenge instead of "Pew Pew" each other most of the time. Also, this cliffhanger....
Last note: Ace Combat Infinity had 2 MILLION DOWNLOADS. And the event weekends had 20k regular players. 20.000 concurrent players is a NICHE GAME?!? GO on steam and see how many games crack 20k simultaneous players. Even being FREEMIUM, pay-to-win, it had 20k players regularly.
I miss so much flying with friends, the boss raids, just recreating the squadrons of the games (i used the F-15 with the Pixy skin, and randomly another one would be on a F-15 with Cipher's skin). I hope in the next Ace Combat they take this into consideration, and not just add PvP. Hell, i wouldn't mind an Ace Combat entirely focused on Online like Infinity did. Remade missions like Stonehenge, Excalibur, etcetera. Imagine special missions that are actually some remakes of the older missions like The stage of apocalypse, Aces from AC5, you know, the impactful ones. Thanks Zap for bringing up these memories of Infinity!, now to sit back and relive the game hehe
13:22 Oh how I wish this would be easy. At the very least, dataminers were able to access aircraft selection for texture extraction, so at least we have things like the emblems around. There was a handful of people that extracted all of the dialogue too, don't know if they ever finished up that project. Who knows though, maybe one day in the future we'll be able to sit down and enjoy Infinity again. I do think it's the best Realstrange we'll ever get.

Only thing i didnt like about it: the seal clubbers, too many players who just kick you because you got mvp or simple because you had a ranking above 1500 (for those who didnt know, 1500 was the average ranking for people "new" to the game so sealclubbers wanted to play only with them to get MVP which paid more credits specially in the special missions)
Ace Combat Infinity...the only Ace Combat that I couldn't play and maybe it was for the better because of the "pay to play more" system, even then until the last days I was wishing for a chance to play it, but at least my adventures on the Co-Op on Ace Combat 6 was still fun though the very little players numbers that were still playing it. This game's concept of the Advanced Automated Aviation Plant is something that I hope comes back in some form in other continuities, be it Real World or Strange Real.
I mean it came back in 7 not as a mechanic but as a lore piece, the drone factories that produced MQ-101s for the arsenal bird and ADF-11Fs were fully automated.
Even with the fuel system, going back to the hour playcounts provided... When i quit playing this game (a year and a half or so before the game shut down) i still had more playtime on Infinity than I have in every other ace combat game COMBINED. It was so addicting and so good to fly in that competitive coop environment, much more than PvP battles.
when AC7 came out I was soo hoping it had online missions like ACi and VR sadly "1 year" after getting AC7 I just lost my love for it :/ and now I just fly jets in VRchat ^-^
1 dolar per full was not that bad, I played 3 times a day and saved the full for weekends or special events/emergency missions. I think i only spend like 10 bucks in all the time it was on, for some emergency missions. Used to play before school lol and after.
We need a multiverse. A spatial anomaly connects Infinity's Earth and Strangereal. Free blanche-card to mix both, have the Orbital Elevator and JASDF on the former Japan, all the skins, all the planes.
Do you think its possible if someone has a file of this game and manages to set up and different server for it? You would need a good emulator that can do the modified game probably Edit: commented this before watching the video xp
Despite being the campaign is half baked and annoying oil system, this game imo,much as AH,is well.. i put it on the "two sides of the bad coin" in ace combat.. but atleast the coop is good but it annoyed me... That game will be have a high potential of what should be "ace combat all stars" sadly those issue were exist there Also atleast i met my ace combat waifu in that game. NGL,her headphones were inspiration for me to wear those XD
They couldn’t add Coop in AC7 because the way the game was made, it made it difficult to add Coop. But I hope they bring it back in the next game, but without the fuel system
Ace Combat 8 with coop. When? :( Full Joystick Compatibility from Assault Horizon wasn't even included on 7! Why?!? Seven was such a lazy effort from Bamco! Only Xbox and Ps compatible joysticks, and no coop. Didn't need to build the game. I uninstalled 7 and when 8 comes up with FULL COOP and full WINDOWS DIRECTX JOYSTICKS call me up.
AC7 wasnt a lazy when you realize the absolute power struggle between PA wanting to make a good game and get it off its deathbed and Bamco trying to effectively pull the plug on any life support for the entirety of the franchise. They’ve even commented that the game wasnt built for co-op BECAUSE of how hard bamco was trying to kill the game. Find any pictures of Kono-san during development and around release and look at how genuinely exhausted he is. AC7 is good. But “muh flightsticks” i guess
@@Yozora2025 Not Mr. Kono. Hell nah. The man is a genius. Bamco's fault. AC7 is a masterpiece for what it is, but Bamco dropped the ball on coop and joystick support from Windows. He stomped his feet to get the Soundtrack right before shipping, don't get me wrong.

It's so frustrating how much Bandai doesn't realize how much of a monopoly they could have on flight games. There is NO competition for multi-player arcade on console, War Thunder doesn't even come close to how good an Ace Combat could be if it was focused on multi-player and had a more modern monetization model. Flight games are such an untapped market and they'd just have to reuse AC7 assets, or even just remaster ACI.

As someone who never had a PS3, I appreciate looks into gameplay like this. Always nice to watch videos of games that you can no longer play.

Project Wingman is a love letter from the Community to Ace Combat, and the GAP Infinity left on the multiplayer can only be fixed on the next title.
