I went ahead and both the 114mm tabletop to use with my son. I know literally nothing about telescopes or astronomy but it'll give us something fun to do camping out in the middle of nowhere. We can stay up so night looking at things I never knew were up there. He's gonna love that.
How do you like it? I can’t decide between the 114 or 130. I like the size of the 114 for grab and go use as well as calling. Easier to store and more portable but not sure if I’ll miss the larger aperture to the 130
Go for the largest aperture you can buy. I would get the 130mm it is also a good grab and go scope@@ProdigiousReturn
Please make a case for this. I would love to get one of these for grab and go use, as well as for camping.
These scopes are great. Only negative is the lack of a tracking drive. (You’ll need to keep pushing the dob to keep the image in view) That’s no issue if you’re looking at something at low magnification, or for a small period of time. 👍🏼
i have question about 130mm. How do I collimate the primary mirror? I don't see screws at its bottom as I do with 114mm or 150 mm
