    Capitalism is supposed to drive an economy forward, but if there's is too much capitalism (AKA libertarianism) then the companies will eat the economy, but if there's no capitalism then there wouldn't be any economic growth, that's why I think we should have capitalism, but not put it on steroids.

      Just like inflation, if there is none, nobody would feel compelled to buy things, but too much inflation is a problem as well.

      ***** that is nothing close to socialism, that is social democracy which is what all the European countries r, I respect that idea as it creates wealth without exploitation of third world labour, but that is nothing like socialism, socialism is what the ussr was, Yugoslavia was, China was, Indian state of kerala is

    That's true. I felt very safe in Cuba. Even as we walked down a dark street with our pockets full of CUC. No problem. The Cubans very really friendly!

    These stories are great, I lived in Miami for a few years and grew to love the Cuban people and their cuisine. Lochon asado, aroz con greis so dang good.

      A lot of Cubans are like that, they have a very good understanding of the sociopolitical context their country is in and are politically engaged. Many really want liberalisation but I fear don't really understand the negative things that will come with that.

    As a tourist Cuba felt super safe. Even dark alleys in the middle of the night in Havana.

    Most economies are a mix anyway. It's almost impossible to just have one system.

      That's not unusual. I was an upper intermediate in German (I think I've grown a bit rusty since then), and when I heard German or English, the change doesn't really register to me consciously. Like if someone asked me a question, I would automatically respond in the same language without really thinking about it, even if wasn't not my native language (English).

      The answer is always and will be Democratic Socialism , just look at Holland.....

    • @valfardskrigare9407
      @valfardskrigare9407 7 лет назад

      Democratic socialism do work. If 85-90% of the country works. It worked in Sweden until the big immigration. 60% of immigrants does not work. So the welfare is on stake.

    Of course the embargo has negative repercussions on the Cuban economy, but above all it is the excessive regulation of enterprise from the Cuban government itself which suppresses the Cuban people.

      sellery1803 it is better than it was under batista, the end of private sector has allowed Cuba to succeed a little bit and gain conciousness, now if they open up to capitalism they won't let themselves be exploited

      You do know the Cuban people have no control over the decision the government makes or do you not understand the history of Cuba? Cuba was capitalist before communism took over. Now the Communism government realizing their philosophy is shit they are slowly introducing capitalist policies.

      Mauricio Casacó why

    • @hushg2000
      @hushg2000 7 лет назад +2

      Mauricio Casacó Ahhhhh education, medicine, and security in Cuba is among the best in the world. Cubans enter Guatemala on a constant basis to teach and import medicine as well. Thousands of Cuban Professors and teachers also travel to Guatemala and Argentina in a constant basis. So why is it so hard to comprehend that subject? I have a friend who travels back and forth from Cuba for the last 5 years.
      You're probably one of those uncle toms far right tards or an exaggerating Miami Cuban that believes in the Cuba hating propaganda. Please, enough with your Cuban military/government oppressing its citizens ideology, because that's a FALSE statement. Plenty of ex-militant Cubans in Central America and South America teaching their trait with no fckery under their belt.
      I suggest you go to Cuba or socialize with actual Cuban natives, and not some Cuban sellouts from the 60's, but actual CUBANS who are born and raised to this day in Cuba. Cause it seems you're far out with your Cuban ideologies.
