The one lady pretending she was a moody teen was so hard to watch.
Ben Putnam same! I think partly because I used to be a moody teen, what an embarrassing phase lol
Exactly, but how can anyone believe that she's a teenager? Maybe immature adult, but adolescent?
I wonder if she uses like, bad teen lingo to seem hip. I would love to watch doctors pretend to not know she's an actor.
Easy! You have to ask them how old they are. You don't believe they're teens, but you have to treat them as if they are teens; its not Hollywood.
everyone can be moody, you don't need to be a teen
This is so important
I've had some doctors with zero bedside manner
Tori Green True, I told my doctor I had erectile dysfunction and he laughed at me. But he's female replacement helped me fix that issue no problem, and we've dating for a couple months now. All because he laughed at me, jokes on him.
+Fuck GOOGLE What? Is that even ethical? A doctor dating her patient?
ThePooper3000 wtf
this is a pretty standard educational practice in US med schools. Yet we still suck lmao
I would love to volunteer and do this for a local collage in my area.
VoicelessSoldier Many SPs are volunteers. You'll have to go through background trainings, and a bit of acting background doesn't hurt either.
VoicelessSoldier college*
I used to do this kind of thing when I was younger, it was a voluntary thing and the students had to find out my diagnosis(juvenile arthritis) and do a medical exam
Psychiatrists need this so badly. In Los Angeles most psychiatrists only spend 5 min with their patients.
I thought they charge you by the hour.
Dinesh Kudtarkar no I think she means as in diagnosis
They're like mystery shoppers. XD
JC M no
JC M there the only shoppers so it's not a mystery
2:00 That lady has olives as earrings....
Where's Dr Luke's office, I've been experiencing some uh... pains. I feel like he needs to check me :((
Do the students know that these are actors?
Probably.
yes
He told us about the first time he worked with a sp
Yes. It is generally known that the students will be dealing with SPs. They identify themselves as SP, and pretty much the only time you handle patients in a fake clinic in med school is dealing with SPs.
Duh they're students not doctors, why would they expect to have real patients.
why not hire hypochondriacs, there would be no acting
Gf I’m up to be hired
I've done a similar thing like this before. But for nurses. It was a great experience. Some of them were spot on, knew what they were doing and others not so much. This is where we come in. At the end of the 'scene' we give them feed back on how to improve in the future.
.....THEY DO NOT DEAL WITH REAL PATIENTS? In my country, medical students deal with legit patients with legit sickness to pass their tests.
"These days, most patients only get 15 - 20 minutes with their doctors..." Heh, meanwhile in Chinese hospitals.... 3 minutes a patient: 1 minute getting familiar with the patient case and history, 1 minute interacting with the patient and finding their CC, and the final minute writing up the encounter and filling out related paperwork from blood tests to prescriptions.... else the hospitals would be even more swamped than it is...
I would do this just to be in a room that looks like a hospital, I wanna be a trauma surgeon 👩⚕️
I see student nurses come to the hospital and work on actual patients
That's cute
I never thought of acting having medical uses-- that's so cool!
Aw, pay me too. I can play sick.
I had a neighbor who knew a girl that faked an illness to go in the hospital. It worked for a month, so she went from hospital to hospital up the east coast. Then after 5 years they realized something was up. She enjoyed the free room and board.
Why didn't my school make me counsel fake clients when I got my Masters of Social Work?
Adolescent? She looks fucking 30...
This is not good. You should NOT use clickbaits. God! Not everyone can afford to waste time.
> Is on RUclips
> "God! Not everyone can afford to waste time"
We call it OSCE Exam
actor crisis
holy shit....
Are the doctors acting too?
No.
its like episode from seinfeld.
I hope there are POC actors and hopefully they aren't instructed to fit stereotypes.
Does it even matter what colour of skin the fucking actor has?
Its Always has been done.. It was done back when i went to med school in the 1990s
lol...come to india and you also can experiment your way of treatment on villagers and get your way of work perfected by trail and error...
lol Seinfeld
Good actors, seems legit students, horrible medication payment system
Where?
Took me back to the episode with Kramer on Seinfeld.
Seinfeld anyone?
that's cool
does that guy have a living forest on his chest??

Se graduan de médico pirata.
definitely safer than Real patients.
Why don't they use people that need assistance with medical issues that cannot afford it?
Mckenzie Wright Because they need to be able to give feedback based on specific criteria.
:)
Bow Chicka Wow Wow
love this!
Why not let the students meet actual patients? How about that?
IKR 🙄😷
Why not use actual patients?
Pradhyumna Muralidharan because it could stress out someone who has something wrong with them or lead them to get the wrong treatment. they need the training so that they don't mess up and hurt someone in the process lol
First
congratulations! you get a cookie and a ticket to hell :D.
@dbd978 your comment was totally hilarious....
