    The one lady pretending she was a moody teen was so hard to watch.

      Ben Putnam same! I think partly because I used to be a moody teen, what an embarrassing phase lol

      Exactly, but how can anyone believe that she's a teenager? Maybe immature adult, but adolescent?

      I wonder if she uses like, bad teen lingo to seem hip. I would love to watch doctors pretend to not know she's an actor.

      Easy! You have to ask them how old they are. You don't believe they're teens, but you have to treat them as if they are teens; its not Hollywood.

      Tori Green True, I told my doctor I had erectile dysfunction and he laughed at me. But he's female replacement helped me fix that issue no problem, and we've dating for a couple months now. All because he laughed at me, jokes on him.

      VoicelessSoldier Many SPs are volunteers. You'll have to go through background trainings, and a bit of acting background doesn't hurt either.

    I used to do this kind of thing when I was younger, it was a voluntary thing and the students had to find out my diagnosis(juvenile arthritis) and do a medical exam

      Yes. It is generally known that the students will be dealing with SPs. They identify themselves as SP, and pretty much the only time you handle patients in a fake clinic in med school is dealing with SPs.

    I've done a similar thing like this before. But for nurses. It was a great experience. Some of them were spot on, knew what they were doing and others not so much. This is where we come in. At the end of the 'scene' we give them feed back on how to improve in the future.

    .....THEY DO NOT DEAL WITH REAL PATIENTS? In my country, medical students deal with legit patients with legit sickness to pass their tests.

  • @sk9c00
    @sk9c00 7 лет назад +1

    "These days, most patients only get 15 - 20 minutes with their doctors..." Heh, meanwhile in Chinese hospitals.... 3 minutes a patient: 1 minute getting familiar with the patient case and history, 1 minute interacting with the patient and finding their CC, and the final minute writing up the encounter and filling out related paperwork from blood tests to prescriptions.... else the hospitals would be even more swamped than it is...

    I had a neighbor who knew a girl that faked an illness to go in the hospital. It worked for a month, so she went from hospital to hospital up the east coast. Then after 5 years they realized something was up. She enjoyed the free room and board.
