Robin Zander... 51 Years of him singing perfectly a every show! If you never seen them. PLEASE do!! I've seen them several times in Clubs, Arenas, Stadiums and Theatres. NEVER DISAPPOINT. The boys from Rockford still bring it
@Bellalugosi86 nothing "ghost" about it His son joins on the chorus for several songs, even the one that Tom sings... Robin Zander still sings lead, no auto tune, no lip sync, He still has the pipes May have lost a bit off it, as he's in his 70s But he still handles it
Me too, it was a Tuesday night August 16th 1977. Loved KISS, but I remember Cheap Trick had such a huge live sound and good tunes. Got there in the afternoon around 2pm and the line to get in to the Cow Palace was all the way out on Geneva Ave!!!!! 🎸
@@bartonpercival3216 I went right up front! There wasn’t much of a crowd cuz nobody knew them much. Got the bass player’s pick! Feels like such a short time ago….
@@grandmabead Yep, and to think that was 47 years ago. Since that first show in 77, I've seen Cheap Trick around 25 times live thru 2014. Great song writing and great live sound. Their shows are always a fun event!!!! 👍🎸
Saw them last night in Macon Ga. It's such a shame to watch a band get old and depend on other musicians. Yes I know that Nielsen's Kid on drums and Zander's kid on guitar..... Getting old sucks! I just with it was the original 4 with Bun. Zak is a great drummer and then sounded dead on. Amazed Zander still reaches that octave. Stay srong boys!
Same ol same ol. Sh*tty. They settled their lawsuit...Bun no longer tours or has anything to do with any new albums....but is still a "member" and gets paid.
I love Cheap Trick, love love love. But it's sad to see Rick Nielsen at the moment, he just seems to shuffle around stage and he looks really stiff on the guitar 😢
@@karengarrison3666yeah great story Karen. I think I covered that. Like I was saying it’s something I’ve heard. Since I don’t know the man personally and have never met him I thought qualifying my reply as apposed to talking out of my ass would make that clear. I guess not. Be well. 😊

This looks and sounds like a bad lounge act-You would think guys this old would of put money away so they didn't have to tour to make money and sing songs they wrote forty some years ago. This is bad. Retire go away, your diminishing your brand.

Still one of the best LIVE bands around after 50 years now!!
Still Rockin'! Saw them on the Dream Police tour back in 1980, one of the best (and loudest!) shows I've ever been to. Thanks for posting this Jim.
Caught them on The All Shook Up tour. UFO opened.
Caught them in the Summer 78, Cheap Trick opened then Sweet and Foghat headlined.

Robin Zander is the King Lord Ruler of the Galaxy...
@Bellalugosi86 those would be called harmonies or "gang vocals".....
@@Bellalugosi86so he’s singing backing vocals and playing rhythm guitar. Both actually fill out the sound really nicely.
I just found out and can shell out seven dungeness crabs and watch a full Cheap Trick concert. Thanks for the video.
High quality video, CT sounds much better in person - fuller sound.
saw them 2 nights later in Columbus
Such an amazing show
Seeing them again in 2 days in Cleveland, Cannot wait
Good for you🙄
Thx to Tom for helping invent the Hammer 12 string bass!!! Good to see their offspring join m live!!! Icons of Rock 🥁🎸🔥⚡️
Love how Cheap Trick never plays the same set, unlike so many other acts.
Robin sounds incredible!!! He’s had taken care of that awesome voice for 50 years
Robin's vocal are strong as ever! Rockford, Illinois hometown boys! Cheap F***in' Trick!!!
On fire for this concert. Nice. How is it possible for Heart to take the stage after that ?
Thank you for this awesome Cheap Trick concert!
Forever Cheap Trick! ❤
This is outstanding.
I was there it was awesome
Wow!!! Robin still got it ❤🎤🎸🎵👍👌💯. Thanks for sharing Jim😊

Same! Had my fingers crossed that Jim got the whole awesome show. Dang- What a set. Thank you! Fantastic a/v, btw.
Amazing camera work. Much appreciated!
First band i ever saw live in Hershey in 2004 opening for aerosmith. They were both so good live. Been a big fan of both ever since
Great looking video of our favorite band 🖤
They're opening for Journey in Glasgow Scotland this November. Looking forward to it.

Nobody moves or jumps around in their 70's like they did in their 20's!!!!! I admire them for still doing almost 200 shows a year at their age!!! 👍🎸
Rick gives that look every once in a while “get off my lawn!”

They play because:

b) They still can.
c) People buy tickets to see them live.
