Jamming with friends in a private setting and recording a RUclips video but paying with the same intensity and energy as if it were a stadium concert. Saw Cheap Trick live in the 80s and they sound just as good now.
I especially like how Robin Zander gives Daryl Hall a little mocking glance after Hall tries to one-up everyone with his knowledge of music lingo. And I love Daryl Hall’s singing on this. He drives the vocals to a higher level of emotion.
Every-single-time I hear Cheap Trick I wonder why I wasn’t all in on them back in the 70s. Live from Budokan was huge and I loved it but somehow I didn’t obsess about them. A real missed opportunity but I’m happy to be grabbing their vinyl and spinning it now.

Maybe I just love the Cheap Trick sound so much as it is that I don't want to hear anyone else sing with them. Am I the only one that thinks this wasn't a particularly good vocal match up? Still, I love Daryl's musicianship and singing and this great series.

I caught that same thing too. Or at least they could have lowered his volume in the mix. He was stepping over Zander's lead a bit much.
