Hi. I think it's brilliant. Thanks to your first "leak video" I found out about it and thanks to you I was smashing that refresh button like crazy on the 23rd April when campaign started. I managed to get Early Bird package and it would not be possible without you. Probably I wouldn't even know if that existed so THANKS A BUNCH GUYS. Cannot wait till September....
That looks really exciting! Would love to try this out with DCS World and Assetto Corsa Competizione (on Bathurst specifically for some big elevation changes)
It's looking amazing so far. I've wanted a motion sim for YEARS and was ready to pull the trigger on the Yaw 1 until I saw your video a few months ago. Just like Hanys above I was F5ing like a lunatic and managed to get myself a Super Early Bird pledge then added the Pro versions of the Yaw 2 and Yaw Platform plus the seat later on. I too would have missed out on this if it wasn't for your earlier video so thanks a lot! :oD
I have a pro on order from the Kickstarter launch (pro w/ chair and pro platform). Backer pricing came to like $2400+ with shipping to Los Angeles. A little worried about the mystery taxes but can’t wait to use it with Star Wars Squadrons 🙌🏽
What I really want to know is, how high was the seat part from the ground? I would also like to see how high it is from the ground without the yaw platform. I wonder if the forward pitch range changes when you are lower to the ground. Some footage of you playing without the yaw platform, getting into and out of the chair.
You guys are doing so well. The fact that companies are coming round your place to showcase their equipment in a rapidly growing market is a huge statement for your future. Well done.
It’s amazing they made it so cheap. Most full motion sim setups cost 10k+. And while the base model doesn’t go up and down it’s amazing they were able to make it with almost 10% of the money
Great video Cas, I feel much happier with my Kickstarter pledge now. Your experience with the original yaw means your thoughts have more meaning than other RUclipsrs without such experience.
I'm still waiting for them to give it to a VR RUclipsr who actually has some experience with motion simulators from other companies. They said they would but I'm still waiting. Karl Gosling springs to mind. I don't expect it to happen until it's too late and the campaign is over.
This looks really compelling... They seem to have done a great job with it. Personally I would get it because it can also double as a work environment. I often want to lean back, with my feet up, and work at my desk... But this is not really possible with most desk setups. So this ability to do so with the Yaw makes for a very interesting proposition as not just a gaming chair, but also a work setup.
That is actually a great excuse for buying it. I might use it as well, but I am not sure it will pass through the bs control department of my mind 😂. It will be tricky.
This looks as amazing as I imagined! Thanks for sharing, and thanks to Yaw VR for recognizing that people like me buy products based on reviews from Cas and Chary!
Saw your teaser the other day and it sparked my curiosity. I have thought about getting the first Yaw for a while as I'm an avid Flightsimmer. It just felt a little bit too devkit for me though. The moment I saw your teaser, however, and realized this was the next iteration I backed it immediately! Thanks for the first impressions! Just made me want to get this thing even more!
9:40 They might be heavy for the Yaw, but they are not heavy as wheels go. About 5.5kg for wheel & pedals? Compare that to the Fanatec DD base (14kg), a wheel rim starting at 2kg and 8kg for the V3 pedals... 24kg is 4x the weight. And that's without an H-pattern shifter or hand brake. 😊
@@Leynad778 multi purpose, so some simulated motion for racing is OK. But yeah, for racing you want jolts and "rear traction loss" mostly, pitch and heave secondary, roll and yaw third.

Amazing. I'm going to get one some day! I'm just curious about the 360 yaw rotation with the additional base. Do you really need that axis of rotation for driving & flying sims? I notice Cas is only using the 2DOF system anyway.
It would also be awesome to allow this chair to sync with movie titles (like D-Box/ 4D cinema chairs)! That way, you can double your usage. Also, Non-gamer spouses can eventually be convinced that you both will benefit from such a premium chair 😂
I love this kind of stuff! This is going to be the absolute future people need to learn how to actually exercise in VR than sit down unless it's in a car or flight simulation game
Okay but how do you mount combat flight sticks to this? I don’t like having them so high up so it would be cool to see and mount between the legs or by the arm rests
This looks especially good for flight or space sims since not having yaw is the biggest factor in emersion loss. Even giant commercial sims that dont have yaw have to do a weird flip once you do a full loop. I wish it had a bit more roll but the range is way better than anything at this price point or x3 higher.
This may already be the case but I hope in the future that all games that are Motion Sim friendly begin to output true force telemetry so that products like this will be able to handle the forces applied to the player correctly. Cruising in an airplane turning left should tilt the chair left to simulate the drag of gravity downwards but when driving a fast race car and heading into a left turn the chair should be tilted right to simulate centripetal forces pushing the player to the right for the force to feel real and give a true sens of speed. Its all about force. Not direction. Games may already be doing this but a system like this needs this to be comfortable. If not you well get hit by serious vertigo very quickly.
Thanks for the video! I have the Yaw 1 and have preordered the Yaw 2. I am very happy to hear that the setup process may be streamlined a bit. I use a Quest 2 with a HOTAS setup and run everything wireless using a virtual usb. I found the points of friction to be almost too much to bother with. I think I counted right at 12 apps/plugins required to get everything running right. The Yaw 2 appears to be a vast improvement on the hardware side. I am hoping that getting up and running will be at least a little smoother than the original.
so if you have your PC VR Headset on and Hotas, wheels, pedals etc attached and they are of course all USB cabled peripherals how does that work with the Yaw motion? Surely they need some USB powered hubs or extenders that handle the cable management via the base otherwise yeah that could be a real problem....
Thank you.. THANK YOU FOR THE CONTENT EVEN WHEN YOUR NOY FEELING GOOD.. I can tell you have a bit of a cold maybe moment of allergies.. but great info and exactly what I'm looking to learn
Great product and video BUT, @6:10 sec in the video you say it can spin at 360 degree per second, wouldnt 360 degree be a full circle around itself but it doesnt look like anything like that - did you mean 360 per minute? Or please correct me if I am not getting this. Thanks.
I hope there is a way to calibrate the chair to what you see on screen. VR dots like on motion cap so the screen or VR goggles are in sync. If their is a 10° change on screen the chair should only change 10°
Ok... you feel the G forces when the thing tilts to any side (Pitch and Roll, as you said). What does the rotation do ? I have a motion sim rig and I feel no need to rotate the chair on its axis, so I am glad that it is optional. Looking at the video it seems that it is there just to give a "shake" sensation. Could you explain to me the sensation you get when the chair rotates without tilting to any side ? I'm really curious about it.
For flight simulators, having a yaw axis would be very helpful, as you can feel when the aircraft is yawing to one side or the other, versus rolling. If you're trying to keep your turns coordinated, this is essential.
I don't think the chair will be able to "Roll" 360 degrees. Besides you falling out, the chair is not configured for 360 degree roll. It will only turn 360 degrees like a merry-go-round.
For the review I'd be interested in what are the practical limitations for unrestricted 360 degree experience? Obviously you'd need wireless headset, or for semi-360, overhead cable pulley system, but what about the simulator peripherals? Are they connected wirelessly to the PC though the integrated ports? Or do they restrict 360 degree spin?
Haven't found the full review yet. but get a Moza R21 wheel base and wheel of your choice. They got a few choices. I have the G923, the Moza is heavier (30lbs!) and be careful installing the wheel base, never mind a toe, could lose the whole foot dropping that wheel base on it! I speak from experience and a close call. Better to chip the tile!
I agree, either a driving sim or a flying sim. But, at the same time. I have the D-Box version of a motion chair and I use it in Crysis Warhead version.
Thanks for this very informative video. I already backed to get a pro version with 3dof. I first went for the normal version until i realized it would be problematic to do more than 360° with hotas or wheels connected to the PC. Not to mention the power cable...
That's an awful lot of moving parts. What happens when the inevitable happens and all or some of the parts start to break down? How will it get repaired? What are the repair policies and methods for a malfunctioning unit going to be?
this is what I got as a reply from Yaw VR regarding warranty posted on comments section- "I can confirm that we provide 1 year part replacement warranty, that means if anything breaks, we will send you a free replacement part and video instructions on how to replace it. This solution worked perfectly for Yaw1. Unfortunately, there were quite a few cases of damage due to shipping (we expect far fewer with Yaw2) and in all cases our customers received replacement parts or a complete new device."
I definitely would love to see if you can use the YAW 2 in No Man's Sky with VR. I'm really tempted to purchase one of these in the future, they look fun to use in games.

Muchas gracias por la reseña! Y me pareció muy relevante y útil la información de que en realidad no hay tanta diferencia con la primera versión...
I hope there is a way to calibrate the chair to what you see on screen.
VR dots like on motion cap so the screen or VR goggles are in sync.
If their is a 10° change on screen the chair should only change 10°
I want this. Great work as always.
Can this be used without vr and just a monitor?
Ok... you feel the G forces when the thing tilts to any side (Pitch and Roll, as you said).
I’m waiting for the version that can do 360 degree rolls like an aerobatic plane and a jet fighter. ;)
just make sure the cords doesn't get wrapped around when your spinning in circles hahaha
She's talking about that @ 4:38 . The pro version will have a build in USB Hub for peripherals
I want one of these so much.
Great price, ill buy one for sure !!!!! I cant wait !!!!!!!
think the best thing about it is that you can feel if your level or not in the planes as there are no real ffb yokes or rudders
Oh my...I have only just joined the VR world with an Oculus 2... this looks epic!
Nice railway landing! 12:29
Imagine drifting at ebisu in assetto an slamming into the wall an becoming a beyblade lol
Now that I want to see
Star Wars Squadrons with HOTAS... Omg.. Epic...🥰
Not good for any games I'm into, but super awesome none the less. Love seeing things in the space develop.
That is an awful warranty. They aren’t to confident in their product.
This device needed one more year of engineering and liability testing. But they want the money now, you've got the problems.
@@ksiyaskid How is it awful? I think 1 year is pretty much a standard duration for a big device like this.
@@cuonglequoc7466 Its not ok just because everyone does it.
Seems that interesting people pay attention to your feedback, dear young lady. Keep up the good work.
Do you need a pc? If so what type of pc thanks. Look really good fun 🤩
Dank je wel , jij ook een fijne avond 😁
This is better than my dream gundam cockpit
I definitely would love to see if you can use the YAW 2 in No Man's Sky with VR. I'm really tempted to purchase one of these in the future, they look fun to use in games.
Wat is dit bizar gaaf zeg.. Bedankt voor de uitgebreide video!
Love you guys 😘
Ok, my turn! :) Thanks for sharing this. Looks amazing! Reminds me of back, when I had the Gyroxus chair. This is obviously much better.
Wow ... thanks for such a comprehensive video, you just got a new subscriber ... I have kickstarter pledge 11 :)
