I was really hoping that you were going to say it sucked and wasted your money but instead you said it was absolutely amazing and I'm jealous. 😏
Lol, it's more fun then I expected it to be!! Come over and try it out!!
@@RenderedReality hell yeah dude I’ll come
@@RenderedRealitywhat’s the address ?
This is (imo) the ULTIMATE vr accessory. Compared to a lot of motion rigs it's priced relatively well too.
I couldn't agree more!!
So anyone else notice that during the banking in Nascar the chair should either remain upright or tilt the other way. Even with that bank, the G-Force of the turn would be more than enough to push you towards the outside of the turn instead of a sensation being pulling into the center of the circle which I saw being displayed there.
1000%
That Yaw 2 looking pretty sweet. The new VR room is looking great as well.
The only thing I don't like about this video is it's making want to spend money on something that I shouldn't.
Haha thanks, and I think you should spend the money on it!!! Its definitely not a purchase I regret!!!
The new VR studio looks great and that chair looks insanely fun
Thanks, it is really fun!!
Damn, glad your feet didn't get caught under that Yaw 2 slam.
Haha I know, that kill switch is going in this weekend!! It was kind of sketchy when that happened lol
RIGHT?!
@@VRwifeLife You can change the motion degrees in software so that it won't hit the ground. The software has tons of options from what I hear.
Awesome little first look 👍🏻 can’t wait for mine to arrive, backer here from Uk I’ve got the pro version coming, giving me confidence that was worth backing thanks 🙏
I definitely don't have any regrets backing this, loving it so far!!
Is it out yet?? Where can I back it / pre order?? 🙏
slick use of the the Y// packaging 😎
Lol I thought the lid to the crate looked pretty cool, and I couldn't just throw it away lol
@@RenderedReality I was looking at that too on the wall and thought, "Wow this guy loves the chair so much he made a wall covering with thier logo for that corner of the room.", then I quickly realized this was from the packaging I saw from an unboxing video. I won't be able to put anything on the wall since I'm in apt at moment, but I'm keeping that cover for this fantastic idea. Love it!
@@marcusdamberger I looked at that and thought the same thing, only I did NOT realize it was from the packaging... LOL!
Great video, but I'm very jealous right now! Even if I had one, I'm not sure I'd have the room to store it permanently setup unfortunately. Would love to give it a try though.
Come on over and give it a try!!!! For real though lol
I read that they are working on a X-Y-platform too. It will allow the seat to move forwards, backwards and to the sides. It will be much better for simulating g-forces. They should also add a seatbelt tensioner to simulate braking.
That would be pretty intense!! I have looked at some seat belt tensioners. I am excited to see what all Yaw does in the future!!
I don't think they are working on a X-Y-platform. I believe they have discussed that as a possibility for the future, but not for sure. They have much to do in order to be able to put time and energy into that. They have a 3rd party firm engineering the gravity platform as it is. That heave is much more important to most people overall than X-Y. And then... If the X-Y is a separate platform and the gravity/heave is separate, and the yaw is separate... it's possibly going to be unstable to have them all. =D
F1 will be so fun
LOL the rollercoaster was wild
Haha it was a wild ride!! Freaked me out, then I panicked when I hit the start button and it didn't stop...
I ordered the Pro version. I can’t wait!!! I’m hoping they are able to get the Gravity Platform worked out soon too! Heave would add that last level of reality!
Yeah, I think the gravity platform would really add to the experience!!
Me too... can't wait for my pro.... 2023 I'm expecting. LOL. I'm a late backer. I'm really hoping they get that gravity platform done before I get mine... and it comes in under $500.
@@stevetb7777 I really want the gravity platform for sure!!
What do you think of it? I'm considering buying one now.
Is it out yet?
I never thought about home furnishings with a seat belt would be something I very much want.
Hahaha right???
You can set the yaw limits in the app. I plan on using mine in a corner, setting the yaw to a range where I won't hit the walls. =D Great preview! Can't wait to get mine in 2023.
Yeah, the roller coaster was when I first got it. Before I realized I needed to set the limits haha, it was a wild ride!! The app works good, I still reccomend a kill switch just in case 😆. I think you will love yours once it shows up, so much fun!!
@@RenderedReality Hahah, ya! That was kinda scary watching you hop out of that moving beast! Glad it ended well. Can't wait to get mine, I got to demo it at the very first expo they did in the U.S. I almost wish I hadn't! It's only made the wait that much more difficult. Amazing piece of tech! Just wait until you get into flight simming with that. I did a flight sim demo with it and it felt like I was really flying. Remarkable.
I think that your video (especially the bit about the rollercoaster) proved one thing - this thing would be amazing for flight sims. the pitch travel would be great for take offs or dogfight. However, for racing sims this is probably a hit and miss as you won't benefiting from a massive pitch travel but you definitely would miss on heave movement (up and down to feel elevation change, kerbs or bumps on the laser scanned tracks). In this case it looks like a set of 4 actuators and the 80/20 profile is a much better option for sim racing and there are companies which offer actuators with around the price of Yaw
Great review, sir! Best advice is indeed to get it working with SRS, it's great! Got my Yaw2 back in April and have been having a blast with it ever since. Yet to try so many sims with it, so many possibilities.I also added a Subpac for even more immersion - it's awesome.
Loving SRS, so glad that it works so easily with the Yaw 2, I have the bHaptics X40 I havent tried it with the Yaw, so the Subpac is pretty cool with the Yaw? I may have to try it!!
You attach the Subpac to yourself? I'm wonder if my Buttkicker Gamer will enhance the experience or not. The pro version has a mount for it. Have you thought about something like the Jetseat/Jetpad?
@@stevetb7777 Hi sir, no I have the Subpac version that attaches to the chair, not to me - so it’s very practical with the Yaw2. Never tried the Jetseat but seems to work in a similar way. Cheers!
@@bigjosy8038 Thanks for sharing that! In researching buttkicker vs subpac, it seems they are good for different things. I might end up using both! And a JetSeat! And possibly more stuff later. ; ) LOL. Those plus the built-in vibrations will create a highly customizable experience.
@@stevetb7777 Awesome! Ur Immersion will be fantastic! Indeed the yaw2’s vibration itself can already be pretty intense if set to higher levels - I had to tone it down as it was too much
A couple of things.
1. The wheel mount shown in this video is NOT the one the company is selling with the unit. Sadly, the one they're selling now is a central mount.
2. This is definitely NOT the cheapest motion sim rig. The DOF Reality H2 or H3 is.
I'd love to see a proper head to head comparison between the Yaw2 Pro with the rotation platform and the H3, but I haven't seen anyone do one yet.
I am looking at both of these right now but the Yaw while a bit more expensive has a lot more range of movement so that's good. The Yaw also LOOKS, and I'm only going off photos, like it has more ability for attachments. I'm looking at how much of a flight sim pit can I get strapped on there? Currently using a Monstertech chair mount system that essentially uses 80/20 rail extrusions clamped left/right/center on the chair that lets you mount a ton of stuff (I have a throttle, stick, mousepad, button box, jeyboard, and 3 VESA MFD mounts all on there)
It is not even a 'budget' setup at ~ 4 to 5k. That would be the DOF Reality H2 or the p6. DOF's prices start at 1.5K to 2.5k on the low end
@@theyshouldhavenevergivenme5439 Yeah, DOF Reality is by far the cheapest motion sim I've ever found. Sadly, even with the current sale, the H3 kitted out with the SFU gearbox upgrade, metal cover, and HOTAS & Joystick mounts is still up around $3600 once you include the $600 shipping cost to the U.S. :(
Congrats, missing your saturday podcast, hope it comes back.
We miss it too!! Should be coming back soon. It has been a crazy summer!!!
How about an update on the Yaw 2? Can you do a video with MSFS?? THx
Man I got the H3 DOF was considering upgrading to the H6 but now this YAW 2 looks like a winner
Really depends on what you want to do with it. The Yaw 2 can do some pretty extreme pitch angles
Great review....I can't wait for my Yaw2 Pro to arrive!
Your going to love it!! I definitely want to get the G platform when it comes out!!
I appreciate your love for this product but between the Yaw not shipping with all the parts, you having to modify the accessories and the software not working well out of the box and having to pay for the software it seems like an expensive product that needs work! I can say I love my BHaptic vest. It doesn’t seem to be too much work for me. Thanks for the quick first impression!
Well my hope is they will get all the kinks worked out, since its a new product, mine was a real early one. Luckily they are sending out everything to make it right.
@@RenderedReality I agree but I’m of the mindset that when s product is shipped, all the problems should have already been resolved! I’m glad the company is standing by their product! Kudos to them! Hopefully they will work on this and make it a better product!
@@bluebell1 Agreed!!
@@bluebell1 youre right. If a priduct is not perfectly ready out the box, then it should *not* ship at all until it is! I do hope they work out the kinks though.
Wonderful presentation. Thank you.
Btw, your voice sounds awesome. It reminds me of the way a lot of Marine Corps drill instructors' voices sound after screaming a hole through a brick wall. I call it the frog voice lol.
I was only made aware of this unit recently. The owner of shar-kade just got the YAW2. He's working with khriscoolmod and at this moment building a dedicated Drive just for this simulator setup.Kris ordered the YAW3. This definitely looks like a solid build. I asked him if they could set up an option on the drive for muti-player with two different units and Pc's.To link them Woth pc games old and newer arcade driving games.😁
I have to say what a disappointment it has been to finally get my yaw 2 3DOF that I ordered over a year ago, only to find that it is incomplete and damaged. It was not damaged in transit. it was simply poor craftsmanship and lack of any quality control.
I ordered the unit with casters (wheels) however they shipped without them but charged me for the wheels which I had to pay import duty on. They now say the wheels were not safe so thay have been discontinued but they did not bother to let me know about this. Nor have they made any mention about compensation or refund.
The base plate on the bottom platform was severely damaged due to overtightening or something similar. They agree and have said they will ship another one, but they have not said when it will arrive or how I should go about fixing it when it arrives.
Next problem is that after assembly there are only 2 DOF working, pitch and roll. Yaw and the chair lights are not working at all. The response from YAW has been incredibly uncaring and unprofessional.
Email replies to my questions give only the most basic information regarding possible solutions. The answer to the yaw DOF not working was "after you disassemble try pushing the connectors in and see if that helps"
This company has taken a good product and are now killing it. Do not buy from YAW they are the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. You will not get what you order and whatever you do get will be faulty.
“…some kinks…”. You’re too nice man. Nice review!
Mine is a pretty early unit, so I'm sure they will get everything worked out. It is so much fun though!!! So hopefully they get the software and stuff fleshed out soon.
Keep the info coming on the yaw2 love to see how it works in mfs2020 👏
Lots more plans for this bad boy!!!
Great video, can't wait to get mine. Hopefully September or October for me. I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas right now lol 😲😂
Haha I know the feeling, you are going to love it!! It's too much fun!!
Waiting for mine. I got the pro addition. I hope it lives up to the hype.
I think you will love it!!! I couldn't go back to regular sim racing now for sure!!!
Looking forward to more content on this. I’m really tempted and it looks great.
I definitely think it's worth it!! Looking forward to recording some more video on this
@@RenderedReality by the way I really hope you guys are back with the streams soon. There are lots of great vr podcasts but yours is the best 😁
@@mrrm1st Haha thanks!! We are hoping to be back on the 10th, we have a lot of testing to do with a whole new setup first though, no more green screens, it will be at an actual coffee bar!!
Sorry to hear about your troubles with your bhaptic gear. Mines flawless plug and play however iam on index.
I havent really had technical issues with it, just makes me over heat using it, not a lot of game support. I just feel like what I get out of putting it on isn't always worth the effort for me. This is just me though, plenty of people love it.
@@RenderedReality when I first bought the bhaptic gear there was only a handful of games supported but many has been added since, natively integrated and modders have been going crazy with it. I've got the vest, arms and head haptics and dont often play games without support as the level of immersion bhaptics provides in VR is outstanding especially in first person shooters......to feel the direction of the shooter when it pierces your back and blows out your chest is impressive and not to mention the gun recoil feedback. Maybe have another go at it....
.buy the arms and head devices.....play pavlov, halflife, sairento and into the radius......thank me later. Oh btw. Theres mods for bhaptic feedback for your motion sims aswell....feel the engine and bumps in the road....immersion! That's what vr is all about.
Side note; an air conditioner will not only keep you from overheating in vr but also help keep CPU/GPU temps down = more fps....I'm rocking a 12000btu in my room. ;)
Great video! Subscribed! Looking forward to more Yaw 2 stuff, got one on the way too.
You're gonna love it!!
Backed it when it was cheap, eagerly still waiting.
Yeah, unfortunately they haven't been getting these back units out very quickly. I was one of the first backers so mine was an early one.
Lol, that kill switch mishap you had would have been hilarious if you had the 360 version. Lol
Haha it was ridiculous!!! I have all the limits setup now, but still going to do the kill switch for sure!!!
In reality the force you feel even on high banking is down and to the outside of the track. Centrifugal force people!
I'd like to know where you got this for $1500. On their website the cheapest one is over $3000 and it doesn't include the seat or wheel stand. If it is the cheapest, it is definitely not cheap, and definitely not 1500 bucks!
same
Glad to see you got your YAW2. Would you say the original table and swingout arms are good and sturdy or the latest center post might be better or maybe even both? Can't wait to get your opinion and my YAW2.
The standard top with swing out arms seem to be pretty sturdy, I am curious to try the center post mount though. Probably good to get both if you can.
@@RenderedReality You're likely getting both at no extra charge. That's a good deal if so. =D It would be awesome if you could give a quick comparison opinion between them!
I hate how tempting this thing is haha… ugh 😅 maybe one day. Great vid!
The room is looking great!
Thanks!! It's coming along, still need to do some trim work lol
Can’t wait for more content. Subscribed
Thanks!! There will definitely be more!!
This is a great sim for the price. However, it is shipped from overseas and the price for shipping is $745, something to consider before buying.
Dang, that's crazy!!! I don't think I had to pay shipping because I was a kickstarter backer.
Is there a motion simulator rig that can also simulate when a car goes on reverse?
I’d like to practice parking.
I have a lot of experience and i can say, that for the price, it‘s a really awesome seat. Far best specs for the price, of all motion seats i know.
just got mine, man is it insane. few kinks installing my own seat on it, might have to drill a hole or two.
Glad to hear you are liking yours, it's a ton of fun!!
@@RenderedReality it really is, best christmas gift a man can give himself :D, have you tried f1 22 in vr? wow
did you end up geting this via kickstarter? if you don't mind me asking what was the full price + shipping?
Subbed. Can’t wait to see more of this.
😁👍 loving this thing so far
I was a backer, but pulled out due to lack of space and potential compatibility issues...what I needed to know was how it reacted in flight sims, DCS in particular. For instance, most g-forces in a fighter aircraft are straight down (apart from acceleration obv.) Does the yawvr2 take this into consideration? can it be programmed to? I.e. in a sustained turn/bank does the chair return to upright, or remain in a lean towards the turn during the turn?
you can program it the way you want with the limits you want, with the 360 addon you get more height so more forward pitch movement.
You should’ve stuck with it..this thing is awesome
Yes! RR rules
Haha its been too long!!! Looking forward to getting back in to it!!
I am a backer for the pro version and I want to know if you tried any motion compensation while SIM racing, either motion compensation from the headset software , from the YawVR software, or from the SIM title (e.g. Assetto Corsa has a motion compensation feature) . If any of them work, it should, in theory, prevent your POV from pitching forward or backwards within the VR FOV.
What happens, for example, is that when you break, the chair pitches forward to replicate the G forces creating the feeling of deceleration, however, your POV shouldn't change as that is not what would happen in reality; similarly, when accelerating and turning, the chair should serve to replicate G forces without reflecting on the POV within the VR FOV.
Without motion compensation, as the chair physically pitches and rolls, the POV within the VR FOV does it too; which it takes away from the realism.
Ideally, the software of the YawVR2 should somehow communicate with the software of the headset, in order to subtract the motion of the chair from the motion replicated by the VR headset, when motion compensation is active.
I plan to use mine with my Pimax 5K+ that also has motion compensation, but I haven't seen, so far, any YawVR2 users successfully SIM race with motion compensation doing its work.
A few features to try in future videos include the motion compensation of Assetto Corsa, the lock horizon (also in Assetto) combine and separately from the motion compensation (to see what works best) the motion compensation of the YawVR2, and that of the headset if present.
I have tried the motion compensation in the Yaw software, its not perfect, but it actually works pretty well. You can also run motion compensation in the Sim Racing Studio software, you have to purchase a device that attaches to the rig its self. I have done that yet, but I plan to.
thats funny about the bhaptics vest. using the quest 2, it connects right away after turning the vest and arms, and after the game launches. i play contractors and it is awesome!!!!
I have tried it a bunch of times, just the time it takes me to put the thing on, then how much it makes me over heat while playing, I just can't get in to it lol. It is cool and all especially in pop1, but just not enough that I ever want to put it on lol. I wish I could make my self love it lol
@@RenderedReality oh you should try contractors using quest 2. has the best feel and it works natively on the contractors. i think pop 1 only uses audio to feedback. contractors you can feel the recoil for different weapons if you have the arms.
@@benjiebarker I have, I love Contractors!! I did the mod for pop1 pcvr it works really well, goes up your body when your free falling and stuff. I should hop in to Contractors again with it, I wish it was a more breathable material though.
@@RenderedReality I have high hopes for the OWO haptic vest. Looks much lighter, more like a shirt.
@@RenderedReality you should send me your Bhaptics suit. I’ve been wanting to try one, but have been a little hesitant with the price point🤔
At over 3k that's a LONG way from being the cheapest 3 dof rig. Still looks llike so much fun!!! It's sad to know that their quality control is non existent. Hopefully they get that worked out.
It was actually only $1,000 through kickstarter, and currently $1,500 on the website. Does show out if stock now though. I think they have gotten better with the qaulity control. Mine was a super early unit.
@@RenderedReality The cheapest option they're selling now starts at $3080.
Would like to see a mount assembly that allows controls to be at the proper height and location. Putting sim equipment on a single level table top has never been good for PC use and I can't imagine it would be for a motorized sim pit either. Otherwise, it looks like the Yaw II is going in the right direction. I can see hobbyists making their own equipment mounts and housings.
Seems that it would be more practical for them to concentrate on the chair itself and sell it bundled with Sim Racing Studio.
They already have that, and it comes with a side mount foe the shifter and hand brake, I just like it this way so far and haven't switched it
the price is not bad for such a crazy sim rig the only downside is if you're like me and lack the space in your room for it lol
Haha yeah, that's whi I didn't end up getting the 360 platform. Would have taken up more space due to needing the space to swing around 360.
Nice studio/mancave!
Thanks, it just got built, still needs some trim to finish it up.
My primary concern is cable management. You have any issues with cables snagging? The model that spins could be very problematic for wired headsets
I just completed a yaw2 build and have solved the cable management. I go into pretty extensive detail on how I did it. Mine is definitely more complicated than an average one. There should be more than enough info in there to solve your cable management. It's very doable. Go to my page and look at the videos. You'll see what I'm talking about. Cheers bro. 🍻
Nice to see that it's a great motion sim! I'm still waiting for mine! =) Do you get motion sickness from using it? And what do you think about the motion compensation (your head, and thus the headset, moves when Yaw2 tilts to simulate acceleration, but the view inside the headset should be still)?
Doesn't cause any motion sickness for me at all. I actually think it should help people with motion sickness since your body is moving around to match what your eyes are seeing. There isn't as much disconnect there for your brain to try to comprehend.
The Yaw software has motion compensation that works well, problem is I'm having trouble running the Yaw 2 off their software. So I am using Sim Studio 2.0, which needs an extra device that attaches to the rig for the motion compensation. What I have found though, is if I leave the Yaw software running with the motion comp plugin installed, then still run the rig off sim racing studio it still works. It's not perfect, but overall works really well, and the view in the headset stays pretty locked in.
@@RenderedReality OK, great to hear that, and thanks for the tip! WIll be really valuable until they fix their software!!
@@RenderedReality I have the pro version coming soon as well! I'm curious about the extra device you had to attach? What is it and where/how did you attach it?
@@justaguydoinstuff here's the link for it
amzn.to/3CIdr1M
I am going to order one myself, it just says to attach to motion platform. So I still need to do some more research on where exactly is optimal.
how loud is it? if you mute the game on the headset how much noise does the chair make? can you hear it in the next room, will it wake the kids up?
It actually isn't too bad at all, you hear some roller type noise of it moving around, and some fan noises. I wouldn't think it would wake up kids in the next room, unless maybe you crash real hard. Makes a little bit more noise with hard crashes where it moves and jerks all around real fast.
simulators are the next level no pun intended thing no more controllers
Very helpful review. So their website has typos, and they sent missing bolts and parts to you. On top of that the software seems to have issues for a lot of people. I'd be concerned about buying something like this from such a team considering that accuracy and precision are important in mechanics and coding. And for some reason there's a lack of reviews for how it handles flight sims (that include rolling, banking and the additional manouvers sim racing doesn't typically involve). These issues leave too many questions to me about whether this is good for DCS. Maybe a detailed flight sim review from someone would change my mind.
Luckily the company had been great, they sent me out the missing pieces. The software is a bit of a bummer, but it works so good with Sim Racing Studio that it doesn't bother me too much. Hopefully they get the software figured out though. I also have a 4090 pc on order so some flight sim stuff will be coming.
Is it possible to adjust the closeness of the pedals? For example, somebody who’s short will want the pedals to be closer to them.
I picked up a Yaw VR 1 seat. It looked like a good solution for a simulation seat. I had it for a short period of time and parts of it started breaking. After about 3 years after multiple failures I was left with a product that does not work. Now if this was a low cost product I'd say c'est la vie - but it was not. I spent over 3500 (CAD) for the seat - which included an high import tax and shipping (which actually was the same cost as the seat. After spending that kind of money I would have thought the product to be more robust. It was not. I probably should have done more investigation and been more critical purchasing a product from a new company with no real reputation, which is very important for a product in a very specialized domain. I certainly would not recommend their products based on the experience I had had with the seat (and customer support) from this company.
INFO!! for those interested, the waiting time for the product is 1 year at the moment! What is on the website I think is not true. The company pledged to supply 1,300pcs products 9.2021 so far only a few people have received the product, this is what it really looks like. I paid the money on 7.6.2021 and so far nothing, all the time just some explanations and no particulars. Please keep that in mind before ordering this product and find out well when you will receive the product you will pay for !!!
Unfortunately kickstarters rarely ever deliver on the dates they originally claim. At least they are getting them out. Does stink to have to wait though for sure!!
With all due respect my friend, but I cannot agree with you! Natural and understandable that you have to wait, but what they post on the website and show on the internet is not true. Do you really think those people who order the equipment now thanks to your opinion will receive it early next year? I don't think so, my colleague who is number 70 around he should have received the equipment two months ago, and what and nothing!!! We have been asking for weeks to tell the truth what is happening, there is no answer! They still have about 1,200 simulators to do and for a year they were able to produce maybe 70 no one knows because they are not telling the truth! It is not about acting to the detriment of the company but it's about people knowing what's going on. Would you like to freeze your money for a year or 2? Please, if you advertise something, advertise it in detail! Hope I didn't offend you my friend!
I hope they kick up the production at the rate they are going it is going to take another year to ship out the kickstarters not even talking about everyone else...
I avoided clicking this video until now because I'm a backer with the same configuration as you and was afraid you would say it sucked.
How's the noise level. I have a neighbor below me in a house.
The noise level really isn't bad at all, it makes some noise with real quick snappy movements. You can turn the power level down though to reduce some of that. I would definitely do a think rubber mat underneath it, if your worried about neighbors below. Just in case.
If I had the room, I wouldn't think twice about ordering one. I am thinking twice on how to make room for one. lol But ya, that seat wouldn't work for me. I am not a big person either but I know I would still feel those bars.
It's definitely worth it if you can find the space!! There are definitely better seats out there, so far mine is still holding up though.
I feel like it has too much motion for sim racing. Plus, I bounce between triple monitors and a VR headset, depending on the type of driving or if it's VR compatible. I am.curious on the pricing though.
Rally racers can finally do their job from home
Haha for sure!!
DOF Reality 3DOF version is cheaper. $2500 where the yaw2 is at $4k.
I want a simulator that’s close to a real car. So, I don’t want the shifter to be so high. Is there a way to place the shifter lower, in the position where it would be in a real car?
You really wanna have even more immersion, get a mobile vibrating back pad and you'll feel the motor as you sim
This actually has built in vibrations too, works really well!!!
@@RenderedReality It really does! I was so impressed when I tried it out. I still want to add more to it, extra channels of vibration for other signals.
How are the calling their brand Yaw but the unit doesn’t Yaw( means turn left and right)
There original version does have yaw, this version has available Yaw just not on my version lol
Yeah buddy!
🤣
Damn they made a safety feature an early bird/backer goal.. horrible they should just come with a kill switch that looked like you could have broken a leg..
Yeah, I think it should have come included for sure.
I have the Pro with 360 platform and I love it. One problem is that with this mount the hotas it's too far away. And I can't change the colors of the LEDs of the chair, I'm in contact with them and I hope they can fix these issues.
Hopefully they will get the issues fixed for you!! That 360 platform is probably awesome!!
You got your Pro??? Congrats!!! What country?
What the hell is going on with RUclips? I've not seen a RR video in my feed for months! I literally thought you guys even quit or something. But then when i manually navigate to your channel, I'm seeing a boatload of videos that just never came up on my feed. Instead i get these random videos. WtF?!
Haha RUclips hates us!!! We have actually been a little MIA lately, due to a couple moves, and putting together some new studios. Trying to get some new content out lately though.
How's it holding up? Any changes in opinion after a year of use?
I want, I want!!!!!
It's so much fun!!
it's awesome but man early bird price vs now, price difference is nearly 100%. may i ask how much was the shipping cost?
How is this a year later? What broke, Software updates?
Is there a center mount platform option available for a center mounted flightstick to play Sims like the DCF f18?? Thanks.
Yep, there is a center mount option available. Mine shipped before that came out, so I need to ask them for one, and hopefully they will ship it to me.
you need to switch it up from a g29 to a belt driven or DD wheel.
Yeah, I have boon looking at some Fanatec stuff. Just gets pricey!!
@@RenderedReality yup i know but the realism doesn't compare to the g29.. you wanna get sucked into the world of sim racing. motion rig ,good VR like the G2 and a good wheel is the basics. G29 aint it. just like having Cardboard VR ,when it first came out compared to the G2. get it and you'll see. Fanatec aren't the only big boys when it comes to wheels. anyway, love your show and have a great day. BTW the heavy tilt would be GREAT for a flying sim like Microsoft Xplane
@@c.j2527 Haha idk if my wallet is prepared to dive super deep in to the sim world 🤣 it is pretty addicting though so who knows...
Flight Sims are coming next, need to get some peripherals for that as well.
@@RenderedReality Honestly, go for Moza. They're relatively new to simracing but their wheel is amazing and cheaper/more available than Fanatec. I love mine!
@@c.j2527 This is true.. but I'm positive on a motion platform the G29 is going to feel MUCH more realistic when you have all of the other senses and motions engaged as compared to a stationary setup.
How would the 360 yaw work with the wires for the wheel etc? Wouldn't they just get wrapped around it..
All was fine till the end when You played ACC with a manual and clutch😂😂😂
Can you feel bumps in the road, and the curbs?
Yep, you can it has built in rumble, so you can definitely feel bumps in the road, hitting curbs, rumble strips. Feels really awesome.
@@RenderedReality Thank you for the reply! One more thing...can you feel the tires "churping" around certain turns? I definitely can feel it in my T300.
im just wondering if i could strap a monitor or even 3 to the platform when i dont wanna be in vr :OO
I would think that you could, might want to add some counter balance behind the seat. There's a spot for weights.
How is the seat cushion on long term sessions? Looking at buying this for flight sim and my current sim chair after about an hour or two of sitting my A** hurts so bad.
I've been researching the possibility of opening up a VR arcade that focuses solely on the racing and flying experiences using VR and FM Sim. I like this sim for sure because the price point is not outrageuos yet the quality seems pretty darn good. What game consoles is it compatible with?
VR racing and flight sim arcade sounds awesome!!! They do make an arcade edition of this, that is built with stronger motors and everything.
As of right now, this only works with PC, not sure if consoles are coming at some point or not.
@@RenderedReality I kinda wonder if they’re making the pro and the arcade versions one in the same.
@@martycurtis7090 if they would make it compatible with psvr2… *GAMECHANGER!* as more and more AAA titles come out, that arcade of yours would be an absolute success.
Better if they sell it in your local store; has significant expense on the delivery
Alright it's been one year... can you tell us if you're still using it?
Do you have to use steam vr? Can I just use it through oculus vr. Games like asetto I skip steam vr and open it with oculus vr. Less taxing on my pc.
Wow...price DOUBLED since this vid
Neon light behind you?
That's the Govee Glide light, I'm a big fan of the Govee stuff!!
is this the standard version? what's the real difference between standard pro and arcade anyway aside from the obvious.
seems like going for the pro or arcade is a massive waste of money.
This is the standard. The pro and arcade have stronger motors, also I know the Pro has pass through capabilites for the cables to run through, so yoy don't get all twisted up using the rotation platform for example. I would have liked to have had the Pro, but too rich for my blood lol. The standard works great for my use case.
@@RenderedReality i noticed that the pro comes with a 700w psu which makes me think that these 3 versions all use the same motors but different power supplies similar to the fanatek csl dd wheel base..8nm version is technically the same except for the power supply. you could possibly upgrade yours for cheap.
im looking to get a motion racing sim but i only have a xbox one s and not rlly tech savvy so will this be a good choice and work??
Does their logo on that wood mean they're sponsoring you or anything?
Nope, thats just the lid from the crate that it came in. No sponsorship at all, I paid for this bad boy lol
4:49 the nascar track. It tilts to the wrong side. It should tilt right in the turns. Trust me, I have driving a nascar in las vegas and in the turns you are pushed hard to the right.
It tilts the direction the car tilts. It might not look right in video but it definitely tilts the correct direction
@@RenderedReality When you turn left in a nascar, the force pushes you to the right even when the car is tiltet left in the curve. So the chair should tilt right to give you the feeling you are pushed towards the wall and that you strugle to keep the car turning left.
Not on Discord but what happened to to bi-weekly/monthly shows? :)
It has been a crazy busy summer, they should be coming back soon though
@@RenderedReality VR has stagnated for a while now which has led to a severe lack of content to cover. No new hardware and nothing major in software which means it's more difficult for you folks to keep a show going and keep things interesting. Best to come back when Project Cambria launches in October (and hopefully with a new lineup of games such as GTA) and during the winter months when more folks are staying in as opposed to going out.
@@JL-ik2vc Yeah, looks like it will be a really good time to come back, right as things are picking back up!!
how did you configure the chair using the software? It seems extremely buggy... My chair is in a corner like yours...I don't need it to yaw (I have the second platform for future use) I just need to calibrate and set limits...how do I do this using the software?
is the foot plate stationary or can u move it closer?
Is it 2dof paltform ?
I had the YAW 1 - and it was garbage. Pay attention to these REVIEW videos. When you hear someone say - IT'S SUPER FANTASTIC - then take aware. I don't know how YAW convinced all these people to do reviews of their chairs but I'm guessing there was payment involved. Pay close attention to the review and do your in depth investigation of the seat. My experience with Yaw [1] was terrible and the seat continually broke and in the end I had to scrap it. Was a learning experience for me.
I definitely didn't get paid at all to do any videos of the Yaw 2. I just really enjoy it, I was a kickstarter backer. I havent had any issues with mine so far, it's been great. I'm not super happy with the Yaw team though. We backed 2 units through kickstarter and only recieved one. They are fulfilling orders rather then sending the units to the kickstarter people, so although I love my Yaw 2, I don't know that I would ever do business with them again.
@@RenderedReality well that's what you say but is this a review or you just glorifying the product - which I'm seeing a lot - and my experience with it was terrible
@@petersimard3538stop being jealous now
I want one :(
It's so much fun!!! You should totally get one!!
