FK BRNO 7.5 FK -vs- Glock 19 in 9mm
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 1 фев 2025
- Filmed safely at a proper shooting range, we wanted to demonstrate the difference between the commonly-used 9mm and the 7.5 FK round. The differences are quite profound. It's almost like comparing .22LR to 9mm. The FK BRNO PSD is a new handgun that we were lucky to get our hands on and comes with a separate barrel so you can use .40 SW and 10mm Auto,
all while using the SAME magazine. Many people compare the appearance of this to the "Judge Dredd" Lawgiver handgun.

Honestly seems like an enlarged and modern tokorev
I was going to say the same thing. Had they kept making the Tokorev, it would have evolved to become this.
@Dan Didnot it would punch right through unless it glanced the helmet, ballist helmets are only rated at IIIa and more often than not speed beats armor.
Yup...the Tok reinvented....
more like a scaled up CZ75
@@beauleidig8670 They still make Tokarevs in Vietnam. They're double stack.
I'm honestly interested to see how much it out performs a 30 carbine
That’ll smoke a .30 carbine. Just look at the ballistics charts.
Yes, the .357 out of a short lever gun or a .30 carbine from an M1 would be an excellent comparison. After-all it’s supposed to be a “replacement” for this kind of thing.
@@joshuaborchardt4355 .30 carbine and the 7.5 are basically the same bullet weight, bullet diameter and muzzle velocity(albeit different barrel lengths), so the performance should be similar, assuming same bullet design. Most .30 carbine is fmj ball ammo though.
@@killdizzle It's about 400 fps faster than a Tokarev with the same bullet weight. The difference between the a .357 mag and a standard .38 special is right around 400 fps with the same bullet. That should give you an idea.
I can only think of rifles to compare this thing to. How about a lever action 327 federal?
Would like to see what the 7.5 capabilities are through an 8” or 9” pistol caliber carbine.
Hipoint 7.5 carbine when.

My only issue with this pistol is that it's just a slightly modified CZ-75 design with the single-action-only trigger pack, a pistol that could be had for $500 or less at pre-panic prices. And we already know that this design can handle hot loads; look at the original Jericho that supported .41 AE. So other than lengthening the ejection port and moving the recoil spring down, what did they do to justify this being a $2000 gun?
Awesome! I had the opportunity to get to shoot one of these pistols with another fellow RUclipsr and it was really cool. The muzzle blast was for real lol. You guys are awesome. Have a great weekend fellas :-)
thank you!
My buddy has a FN 5.7. I’m gonna share this video with him. Those two would be cool side by side. But like always guys great video! Good shooting Greg!
Tbh it's almost like making a 556 to hand gun 5.7 and same with 7.62 to hand gun 7.5 lol
5.7 is the better round, lighter to carry, meaning more, ap capable, better than any other pistol round that is no bigger than .44 or .500
@@snikrepak no no no, the 0.00007 is best. You don't even notice that you carry it. So good
Be even bettter with some armor piercing rounds.
@@snikrepak i highly doubt that you are in the position to compare these rounds. the 7.5 is armor piercing too and the bullet weighs 3x the weight of the 5.7 while almost having the same velocity, that means that it has more than double the energy of a 5.7. I like the principle of the fn cartridge but it's just not that good if you look at it honestly and many poeple argue that it lacks the stopping power, which makes it very situational. Its just better than a 9 mm when ap is needed, the 7.5 could be a good solution for the problems both cartridges have.
Thank you for using my music! You did a great job incorporating it into your awesome videos. THAT 7.5 BRNO IS A BEAST!
I'll have to write you some custom stuff when I'm done coaching football next week
I’m still blown away, Chuck. 😳
@@OGsDangerShow thanks brother...
I dont think I've ever heard of a wound cavity compressing and then detonating. Thats wild
Alot of hyper velocity rounds do that, I have seen a round hyper compress a temporary wound, then explode from the compression. The faster the round, the crazier the wound will be.
That's what rifles and a 44 mag does, essentially cooks the flesh due to the energy being converted to heat. That's why rifles are a whole different monster than pistols... usually...
Nice to be on a RUclips list that gets you awesome guns and not the usual RUclips lists!
Neat vid, as always :)
I so badly want to see a 1,000 yard shot with that pistol!!! Also, I love that thing and I want one. Lol, the Edwin and Demo reference at the end was hilarious.

9mm is the most common pistol purchased so my guess is no.
@@FoulPet The problem right now is that it’s sold out pretty much everywhere.

Thanks James. 😎👍
The reason why you shouldn't shoot 40 Smith and Wesson out of 10 mm has to do with Where it head spaces. .40s&w basically uses the extractor to headspace in a 10mm barrel. Wonder how BRNO solved that problem.
The breech face of the FK pistol completely surrounds the case head with a ring of steel, similar to a pre-70 Winchester bolt gun. It holds the rim with much more strength than just the extractor like on a Glock.
@@OGsDangerShow makes sense
I doubt even hot .40S&W loads would exceed the pressure of 7.5.
So can any pistol that shoots 10mm also shoot 40 S&W kinda like .38 Special out of.357’s?
Is that really your music, Chuck?!?!? 😳
Wow. That detonation was awesome. Sweet camera work. That was perfect situation and recovery!! Y'all kick arss

I would like to see that in a comparison to 7.62 tokarev
7.5 FK, at least on paper, is going to beat the Tokarev.
7.5 has roughly 150 more feet pounds of energy over the 7.62 with similar barrel lengths.
In actual application, from what I've seen, they perform very similar. Both are going through level IIIa soft armor without difficulty.

You all generally have amazing content on your channel. It was unfortunate that you were unable to test the solid copper rounds against the harder targets. Hopefully you will be able to check them out in the future! The results against the soft targets were surprising and may have required fresh individual targets for a better comparison, especially since even the gel test shot with the 7.5 was probably a bit close to the previous 12ga. wound channel. I would definitely like to see the solid copper rounds tested against the lead plate and perhaps against 3/8" mild steel, if you could possibly do it safely (that thickness of mild steel can definitely cause dangerous backsplash so you would have to be creative in firing remotely, as testing from a safe enough distance would start to negate the advantages of the high velocities that are one of the hallmarks of the cartridge (think pistol rests, here). Just some thoughts. Again, it's too bad that you were unable to get the solids for these tests, though there may have been a reason. As I noted at the beginning of this comment... you all have some of the best gun related content on the internet! Keep up the good work and as always, stay safe...MLV.
