- In this video, Top Neuroscientist Andrew Huberman explains why He believes in God.
He believes that science and Christianity are actually compatible and shares how he came to this conclusion.
Let us know what you think in the comments!
I fell in love and was amazed with and by biology in 8th grade science class. The diagram of a single cell proved to me that there has to be a Supreme Creator. I prayed and God took away a 33 year alcohol addiction. Jesus Christ said, "Knowing God is eternal life,." I ask all non-believers to ask God to prove that He is real. Blessings to all.
Actually Jesus said. "THIS means everlasting life, their coming to know YOU, the ONLY TRUE GOD... " Who was he talking to? His God and Father. YEHOVAH. The God of the Jews. (Jehovah in English)John 17:3. John 4:22-24. John 20:17 and then Jesus added "And the one whom YOU sent forth, Jesus Christ.,," we need to know both and understand that YEHOVAH alone is the only true God.
I believed before college but, my human biology course in college completely sold me on a divine creator. Everything about human biology points to a miracle and a divine creator so far ahead of us his intelligence is incomprehensible.

@@lindastrang8703 why are you ignoring the rest of Jesus’s words?
John 17:1-5
After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed:
“Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. 2 For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. 3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. 4 I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. 5 And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.

John 5:16-47
The Authority of the Son
16 So, because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jewish leaders began to persecute him. 17 In his defense Jesus said to them, “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.” 18 For this reason they tried all the more to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.
19 Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. 20 For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed. 21 For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it. 22 Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, 23 that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.
24 “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life. 25 Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live. 26 For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself. 27 And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man.
28 “Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice 29 and come out-those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned. 30 By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.
Testimonies About Jesus
31 “If I testify about myself, my testimony is not true. 32 There is another who testifies in my favor, and I know that his testimony about me is true.
33 “You have sent to John and he has testified to the truth. 34 Not that I accept human testimony; but I mention it that you may be saved. 35 John was a lamp that burned and gave light, and you chose for a time to enjoy his light.
36 “I have testimony weightier than that of John. For the works that the Father has given me to finish-the very works that I am doing-testify that the Father has sent me. 37 And the Father who sent me has himself testified concerning me. You have never heard his voice nor seen his form, 38 nor does his word dwell in you, for you do not believe the one he sent. 39 You study[c] the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, 40 yet you refuse to come to me to have life.
41 “I do not accept glory from human beings, 42 but I know you. I know that you do not have the love of God in your hearts. 43 I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not accept me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him. 44 How can you believe since you accept glory from one another but do not seek the glory that comes from the only God[d]?
45 “But do not think I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom your hopes are set. 46 If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me. 47 But since you do not believe what he wrote, how are you going to believe what I say?”
I had that long period in my life of doubting God. I was an on and off Christian and always trying to find a spiritual way of life.
One day I looked closely as my hand and the more I studied it, the more I thought about all the amazing things that have can do and how it is perfectly positioned to do so many tasks that we take for granted.
With that sense of wonder and amazement I began noticing everything (that wasn't man made) has that same incredible ability to do things specifically and with intention.
As time passed and I continued this observation of everything I was absolutely ecstatic.
Of course we were created. Of course there is a God and the proof was right in front of me my whole life.

The DNA is practically a 'book'. It has letters, words, sentences, paragraphs, united as a book; book of life. No book happens by itself. A book is always written by a mind.
Look around you , tsunamis, earthquake, malaria, children born with bone cancer,

Ok and how did you determine that god was specifically the Christian god because id bet money if you were born and raised in India, you'd attribute it to the gods of the bhagivad gita like the billion Hindus over in India do
a quote by Max Planck: "As a man who has devoted his whole life to the most clear headed science, to the study of matter, I can tell you as a result of my research about atoms this much: There is no matter as such. All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particle of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together. We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter."
Mr Planck, it is GOD!
And atoms are obviously not a product of evolution.
I think that is exactly what Max Planck is implying!@@thomasshoff6512
A wonderful quote. Thanks.
Whew !! Heavy , man !!
The deeper we probe into neuroscience, physics and biology the ever more the answers point to a creator.
I think so too.
And the more we are beginning to doubt science.
The more we find out that it are ALL NATURAL PROCESSES and that an invisible imaginary hand of an invisible imaginary "entity" that is supposed to "exist" "out of space and out of time "( whatever that means!), is not involved in ANYTHING!
Gods don't exist in reality but only as abstract CONCEPTS in the minds of very gullible and deeply indoctrinated so-called "believers"!
Bwahahahaha! Quite the opposite, actually!
@@ConnorMacgillivray-j1f the concept of a "soul" is a dead horse! There are people who are born without a corpus callosum or who have a damaged corpus callosum due to an accident or an illness. Some of those people's left hemisphere said that they believed in the existence of a god. The right hemisphere couldn't speak of course but wrote down that they didn't believe in the existence of a celestial dictator. Do those people have two "souls" then and is the left "soul" going to an imaginary heaven and the right "soul" going to an imaginary hell? Absurdity squared!
And there are people who's frontal lobe is damaged due to an accident or an illness and who's personality drastically changed. Has their initial "soul" then "flown" away?
And at what time was the "soul" "blown" into the heads? Was it in the heads of the common ancestor that we share with the bonobos and the chimpanzees? Or was it in the heads of one of the many hominids that existed? Some of those hominids even mingled with the Homosapiens before they became extinct! We still carry a small amount of their DNA in our genome!
So, hereby is the crux of christianity and the crux of all the other religions I know of debunked! We don't have a "soul", we don't have to be "saved" from anything, etc, etc!
Anyway, there is not a shred of evidence for the existence of ANY god or Allah or whatever name they gave to their non-existing celestial dictator! And science and especially evolution have already debunked the crux of ALL the religions I know of AGES ago!
God loves us so much...

I am constantly commenting on the atheist RUclips channels talking about this very thing. I may never hear results of something I wrote in a comments, however the good Lord knows and I am following what He instructed tell the good news ya know planting the seed. I find it encouraging when I come across folks that used to be atheist who no longer hold/have that mindset.
Yes, our belief in a maker of all that is, is ever present in all the miracles of nature. God is who we are, we try to live by the words of script that settle comfortably in our hearts. I struggle to explain to some of my friends that we are Gods children, I keep trying of course. However those who refuse to accept anything that they don’t understand, are on a journey just like us who are blessed with faith.
As someone who went through a tunnel-vision stage of "science is the only valid source of understanding" atheist stage...yes...planting seeds works. It may take a while for them to sprout. More in terms of internal processing than time. For me they sprouted when I hit a wall. My mind finally allowed for the possibility that everything I think I know might be wrong. Sat down to try to take a look at my thoughts, gazed within and instead of thoughts, found only awe... And within that awe, so many seeds suddenly took root. I've never been this happy before. And despite what atheists tend to believe about cold reason...the world and life never made anywhere near as much sense as it does now
“The first gulp from the glass of natural sciences will turn you into an atheist, but at the bottom of the glass God is waiting for you.”
Great way to share the good news.
It is absolutely amazing that you said that recently I’ve been thinking about God every single day every single hour of the day and I can’t stop. I don’t want to something big is happening biblically
Your god is not real.
@@lonegroover He is more real than you can imagine and you will meet Him one day and wish youd taken the trouble to step out of your bubble to find the Truth behind the mystery of our Solar System and of the Human body. It is a law of science that order cannot come out of chaos - even Einstein admitted that so amazing and awesome were the laws of our Universe that it could only be a supreme intelligence behind it all. You dont know how to digest your food, heal a cut or how babies are formed in the womb but the body has an intelligence that can do these things. Where does your capacity to love, experience joy and be moved by something beautiful come from? You cannot find these capacities by examining a body but we all experience something of them. No mixture on a petrie dish will give you the essence of love. Wake up, deep sleeper, its time to look out, look deep, be amazed at the beauty around you and then give thanks to the One who made it all and you, and your capacity to enjoy it! We are made in His image and we cannot settle until we find the One who made us and loves us. Cheer up, He is waiting for you if indeed you are brave enough to ask Him to make Himself real to you. Peace & grace to you.
And my God..YOUR God, will deny and reject YOU as well. But I don't want you to die and go to hell, just to find out that I'm right and to be able to say I told you so! Consider THIS...What if I AM right?

Be Thankful To GOD That HE IS SO MERCIFUL TO ALLOW YOU THAT LIBERTY TO SAY THAT !🎯🙏🏽
@@lonegroover What is True, is true whether you believe it or not and you cant change that. Our gracious God, Creator of the Universe, gives us the freedom to choose - we can choose to believe in Him or not believe, but consider: It is a fact of science that order cannot come out of chaos. Also, your body has an intelligence that you yourself don't have - do you know how to digest your food or heal a cut - NO, but the body knows how! Also if God doesnt exist, where does love, kindness, affection, appreciation of beauty, compassion and forgiveness come from? You can cut up a human body or put chemicals in a petrie dish but you will not find love there or any of the things I mentioned. We, you and I are created in the image of God - He made us with these capacities because He wants relationship with His Creation. The reason the world is in such a mess is because human beings think they're smarter than God and want to do life their way without Him, the One who made it all to work WITH Him not against Him. Ask Him to come into your life & make Himself real to you, not as a challenge but as a genuine request, He will heal your hurts if you let Him, because His nature is Love.
All the glory is the Lord's, Creator of all the universe.

The Pastor was incorrect when he referred to us being animals. We are not animals, we were created in God's image we are not animals !!!
We were created in the image of God because He breathed His Holy Spirit into Adam. Once sin came the Spirit was slowly slowly suppressed. Leaving humans to be like animals having only body and soul like animals. That’s why the Lord Jesus Christ said that we must be born again of the Holy Spirit. Without this animals are better off because they will not be judged.
I think he was paraphrasing Huberman
Why can’t we be animals molded into God’s image? We literally fit every requirement of being a member of Animalia, and we are in the good company of crows and dolphins.
You totally read that wrong.
We should be Bondservants of Christ. Any law dictionary gives the definition of human being as “monster”. The definition of monster is: “having human characteristics.” Legalese is the language of the law.
We are not our bodies… Our bodies may be animal… but we are spirits, who enter these bodies to experience earth! Our spirits are perfection…😊
@@ronilittle7028 can you tell me when exactly this spirit enters the body where is it about and when exactly does it leave the body and what’s it made of
This made me cry so hard beyond my understanding. I think we were all designed to find purpose for our existence and the conclusion of God’s existence is such a wholesome reality that it’s the only path that makes sense to me. There’s so much complexity present in the world around us that we so strangely understand yet don’t understand at all, hopefully that makes sense.
Makes perfect sense,, Jesus prayed to the father, and said Father I thank you from hiding the way from the prudent and wise, yet made it so simple a baby would not err therein,, 😮
indeed, we were all designed to find purpose for our existence, and that is what makes us human. That takes a neocortex.
This is the first video of yours I have seen. There are so many things to like. It's not too long. I like your points. It's current and relatable. I already trust you as a commentator.
Thank you!
I'm amazed by the DNA bio information. biology is now an information science. information always comes from an intelligent source.
100% agree and it has been observed for thousands of years, origin of life is anti-science because the hypothesis goes against observation, life has information and the only known source is intelligent agency.
The amount of information which specifies structures which interact to create whole interconnected systems, is socomplicated, that no amount of random interactions over time cannot produce.
Amazing. Thank You for this video. May God bless you. May God bless us all.
When I think about the ideal that we are made in the image of God. I think about how a picture of a vase is an image of a vase but is not the vase. It looks like it from certain angles but does not have the depth or the texture or the weight. God is the real thing we are just a picture. And a flawed one at that..
Made in his image and likeness. A child of God. You are more then a picture. God is Spirit, and so are you as his child.
@@anderd333 Just like a piece of paper (or the image I spoke of) can travel through the third dimension while the original vase occupies the third dimension. God in his greatness, designed it so that we (being three dimensional beings) are traveling through the 4th dimension of time. Whereas God is outside of time occupying its fullness. God is the real thing occupying All of eternity. We are but facsimiles, Traveling through his eternity.
@@tomjewett5839 Agreed, we are an image of God.
I'm not hearing Huberman say anything about a relationship with Jesus or the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. THEY are KEY to a relationship with God. In fact, without THEM, there IS no relationship with God.

That is the point that I make. If something is true, it is true, and if it is not true, it is not true - whether if fits into the category of science, philosophy, history, or religion. So, it is wrong to compartmentalize.
It has been reported many times over the years that people who have received someone else’s heart as a transplant, start having memories that had belonged to the person whose heart they now have.
Way more to that mind-heart connection than we understand.

Yes, just pray and ask God to show Himself real to you. I was raised religious and didn’t know we can have a personal walk with God until He spoke to me up in the mountains in the snow. I was sitting on a log and my searches left me empty, I brought a bible and tried to read it but it was like Greek to me. I tried reading it 3 times while sitting there and didn’t get it at all. Then in the peace and quiet of the beautiful snow covered area I just drank in the beauty of my surroundings, THEN GOD SPOKE TO ME AND SAID, “I WILL SHOW YOU MY WORD”, and I said YES!!! I want to know You, I want to know Your Word. When I came home from that weekend, I opened the Bible to Proverbs 1:23 and I have followed Jesus ever since 1981, and I’m am so thankful, never looking back and no fear of death or anxiety anymore.

The **STEP (Study of the Therapeutic Effects of Intercessory Prayer)** study was a large-scale investigation into whether intercessory prayer-prayers offered for others-could influence the recovery outcomes of patients undergoing coronary artery bypass surgery. It is one of the most well-known and rigorously conducted studies on the effects of prayer on health.
### Key Details of the STEP Study:
1. **Published** : 2006 in the *American Heart Journal* .
2. **Participants** : Over 1,800 patients from six hospitals.
3. **Design** :
- A **randomized controlled trial** , which is considered the gold standard for medical research.
- Patients were divided into three groups:
1. Those who were prayed for and **knew it** .
2. Those who were prayed for but **did not know it** .
3. Those who **were not prayed for** .
- The prayers were conducted by Christian groups who were given the patients’ first names and the first letter of their last names.
- Prayer groups were asked to pray for "a successful surgery with a quick, healthy recovery and no complications."
4. **Goal** : To evaluate if intercessory prayer had any effect on:
- Complications post-surgery.
- Recovery outcomes.
---
### Findings:
1. **No Significant Benefit** :
- There was no statistically significant difference in recovery or complications between the patients who were prayed for and those who were not.
2. **Unexpected Result** :
- Patients who **knew** they were being prayed for actually had **slightly worse outcomes** compared to those who did not know or were not prayed for. This was speculated to be due to increased anxiety about living up to expectations (e.g., "What if I don't recover despite the prayers?").
3. **Conclusion** :
- Intercessory prayer did not demonstrate a measurable impact on the health outcomes of patients.
---
### Implications:
- The STEP study is often cited in discussions about the efficacy of prayer in medical or scientific contexts.
- It highlighted the need for critical thinking about the claims of prayer’s power to influence physical health and reinforced the importance of evidence-based medicine.
- Some critics argue that the study's design could not truly capture the effects of prayer, particularly from theological or spiritual perspectives, suggesting that divine influence might not conform to scientific scrutiny.
(Psalms 139:14) I will praise You, for I am FEARFULLY and WONDERFULLY made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.
Fearfully and wonderfully made? More like clumsily and haphazardly assembled through blind evolutionary processes. If humans were "marvelous works," then why are our bodies riddled with design flaws-vestigial organs, a backwards-wired retina, a birth canal that barely accommodates the head of a newborn, and a respiratory system that shares a passage with our digestive tract, making choking a constant risk? If this is the best your god could do, he’s either incompetent or just didn't care enough to get it right.
Why did your god commit many genocides?
Why did your god command Moses and David to commit genocides?
Will you kill your own child when your god asks?
Why do you worship this moral monster?
Even more impressive thing than brain is the “cell brain”. Each cell of our body has an operating system and nobody is able to locate it, or to understand its design. Amoeba grows forth her pseudopoda in one side and simultaneously deconstructs her body on all other sides by precisely and quickly issuing commands for millions of nanotubes to be grown or dissolved, and for these operations huge computing power is required, and no one knows what and where it is.

Great science is NOT separate from God. Isaac Newton and others proved that. We are made in the image of God.
Isaac Newton also dabbled in alchemy and biblical prophecy-should we take those seriously too? Just because some scientists in history believed in a god doesn’t mean science and religion are compatible. Newton made groundbreaking discoveries in physics despite his religious beliefs, not because of them. If anything, scientific progress has repeatedly contradicted religious claims, from heliocentrism to evolution to the age of the universe.
And "we are made in the image of God" is nothing but an ancient superstition with zero evidence. Humans are a product of billions of years of evolution, shaped by natural selection, not divine craftsmanship. Our DNA is riddled with flaws, genetic disorders, and leftover junk from our evolutionary past-hardly the work of an all-powerful, perfect creator.
Science and religion are not allies. Science thrives on questioning, testing, and evidence, while religion relies on faith, authority, and dogma. The more we learn about the universe, the less room there is for the biblical god or any god at all.
His name is Yahuah. Son Yahusha. He has a name. As you and I have a name. Hallelujah.

Amen! We call Heavenly Father Yahuah some; we also say Yahweh (Tetragrammaton YHWH)...& His Beloved Son, the Word become Flesh who dwelt among us, Yahshua. Believer's have been led to accept that just because a capital is placed on pagan titles such as G-o-d, LORD/Lord, etc. it makes them names, but it doesn't! And the letter 'J' only existed the last 500 years - there is no possibility our Messiah was named 'Jesus' or ever called that (and names are not translated). He was born a Hebrew & has a Hebrew name that is VERY important & meaningful to who He is - Yahweh's Salvation! HalleluYah!!
@@jennifermeador171The Greek transliteration of Yeshua is Iesus. The "i" would be pronounced with a slight "y" sound. This kind of pronunciation of "i" filtered into old English later on.
The letter "j" was developed in the 1630s (so actually less than 400 years) as a way to indicate which sort of "i" was being used, so to communicate more clearly.
It's still His name, just a modern transliteration of it. There's no sin being committed in calling Him Jesus.
"God" is a title.... one that YHWH ascribes to Himself in scripture. As is Lord. I fail to see the issue with referring to Him by His titles.

Biblical scholars themselves are increasingly coming to terms with the fact that figures like Moses and Jesus are not historical figures in any meaningful sense. Renowned scholars such as Richard Carrier, Bart Ehrman, and Robert M. Price have all questioned the historical authenticity of these figures. Ehrman, in particular, points out the lack of contemporary evidence for Jesus, emphasizing that the gospels were written decades after the supposed events and were deeply influenced by theological motives. Carrier, a leading scholar in the field of historical Jesus studies, argues that Jesus may have never existed as a historical figure at all, but instead as a construct of early Christian myth.
The evidence for Moses is similarly nonexistent. Scholars like William G. Dever, a prominent archaeologist, have argued that the biblical story of Moses and the Exodus lacks archaeological support and is more likely a mythological narrative woven into Israel's identity than an actual historical event. Moses, like Jesus, is a character who fits a pattern seen in other ancient mythologies-a divine figure with miraculous powers meant to advance a religious agenda, not a real, historical figure.
Why do you lie for this myth jesus?

Is this sarcasm? Can you take a picture of this god? Is it a white dude like everyone claims?
@@LGpi314 According to scriptures, he's dark in complexion and has white hair. No, I haven't seen him, but I've seen and fought his Demons around the globe.
@@ProfRobertStewart Oh, so now we're just making up descriptions of god based on cherry-picked verses while ignoring all the contradictions? The Bible is a mess of conflicting imagery-Daniel 7:9 says he has white hair, but Exodus 24:10 has him standing on a sapphire pavement, and Ezekiel 1:26-27 describes him as glowing metal and fire. Revelation 1:14-15 claims Jesus has white hair and bronze feet, while Song of Solomon 5:10-11 describes him as ruddy with black hair. So which is it? Dark? Glowing? Bronze? Fiery?
And let's not forget the other lottery-level nonsense in scripture:
- Unicorns (Isaiah 34:7, Numbers 23:22)
- A talking donkey (Numbers 22:28)
- A floating ax head (2 Kings 6:6)
- A man surviving inside a fish for three days (Jonah 1:17)
- The sun standing still for a day (Joshua 10:13)
If you’re going to claim to have “fought demons around the globe,” you might as well say you’ve wrestled unicorns while riding a talking donkey, because that’s just as believable as the rest of this nonsense.

No, because consciousness is not just something that is created by the human brain, it is the fundamental reality. This philosophy is called monistic idealism, from "monism" (there is one substance) and "idealism" (that substance is mind). Sir James Jeans said, in response to quantum theory, "The Universe is more like a great thought than a great machine."
This philosophy fits well with theism, the belief in a divine Creator, but there are atheists as well who adhere to it. It fits well with all manner of things that there is evidence for but that materialistic science cannot comprehend: telepathy, psychokinesis, remote viewing, and many other "psychic" or "paranormal" phenomena that real people do in fact experience and that have been demonstrated over and over again in good experiments.
Quantum theory fits very well with monistic idealism, especially the earlier formulations that consider the conscious observer as the entire reason there is a breakdown of quantum superpositions. Later work obscures this by considering the interactions with the environment as breaking down the wave function in a process called decoherence, but this doesn't explain away the issue of the observer. The scientists who created the concepts of decoherence considered the many worlds viewpoint to be most likely valid, and sought to explain how the one universe we seem to experience gets separated from all those others. The conscious observers still play a determining role in experiencing only one of the many branches that decohere from each other.
Critics will moan and say "does the moon exist when you're not looking at it?" and yes, it does exist when we're not looking at it. First, there is more consciousness going on in the universe than we are aware of. As mystics have been saying since time immemorial, consciousness permeates the universe. This would be true from the very beginning. Also, the creations of consciousness, once materialized, obey the laws of physics which consciousness agreed to, so physical reality does still behave as if it is entirely real. As Einstein is often (mis)quoted, "Reality is an illusion, albeit a very persistent one."
Philosophers such as Kant, Frege, and Russell have pointed out that the term 'exist' is not a property of things but of concepts. To say 'this is a teapot that exists' has no more information than the phrase 'this is a teapot'. In Kant's language, 'existence' is not a real predicate, in the sense that a predicate is a part of speech which adds information about its subject. Instead, 'exists' adds no information about the subject, it only qualifies our consideration of any given thing as a subject. We might say 'I dreamed of a green teapot, and when I woke up, I realized that the teapot didn't exist.
This is accurate but only for one of the 7 theories around the fine tuned principle.
Do you have a point?
The only reason I haven't been supporting science like i used to is because I idolized it before I converted. The key to properly understanding the Old Testament in contrast to the New Testament is explained in these verses.
Galatians 4:19,21-26 KJVS
My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you, [21] Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law? [22] For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. [23] But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. [24] Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. [25] For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. [26] But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
Verse 25 bears repeating, For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. To understand it more fully study the word promise as it appears in the New Testament.KJV.

One must be very careful when listening to those who profess belief in God, for there are thousands of flavors of false Christianity. Also, there are many so-called pastors who believe in theistic evolution and an old earth. Not the heavens, earth and all things created therein over a period of six literal days, but millions or billions of years, which is completely contrary to God's holy word of Truth. If you are saved, when listening to anything said by men, one must examine everything by/through God given, Holy Ghost discernment according to The Scriptures alone, as did the Bereans in Acts 17: 10-13.

Moving at the speed of evolution, the human race has not existed long enough for the human eye to evolve into what it is now.
WHAT???
@@LGpi314 evolution speed is about 10,000 years for a very minor evolutionary change. The complexity of the human eye would have taken eons at that rate.
@@hayleesmith705 That’s a wildly misinformed take on evolution. Evolution doesn’t proceed at some fixed "10,000 years per change" rate-it depends on factors like mutation rates, selection pressure, and environmental conditions.
The eye is a classic example of how gradual, stepwise evolution can produce complexity. We see a spectrum of eye complexity in living organisms today, from simple light-sensitive patches (like in some single-celled organisms) to more advanced pinhole eyes (as in some mollusks) to the camera-like eyes of vertebrates. Each step provided a functional advantage, and natural selection favored improvements over time.
And no, it wouldn’t have taken "eons" in the way you’re implying. Studies estimate that a complex eye could evolve from a simple light-sensitive spot in **a few hundred thousand years** under strong selection pressure-not billions of years. The claim collapses because it’s based on an arbitrary and incorrect assumption about evolutionary speed.
Thought the world was only 6. Thousand old.🤣🤣🤣
For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
Matthew chapter seven: paragraph seven-eight
Oh, let’s talk about the reality of this promise in the context of child cancer, starving families, and devastating diseases. "Everyone who asks receives," right? So why do countless children, innocent and helpless, suffer from cancer without the relief they were promised? Why are millions of people across the globe starving to death, asking for food and yet receiving nothing? Where’s the open door for those with diseases that seem to have no cure?
This verse is a nice little piece of spiritual consolation, but it falls apart when confronted with the brutal realities of the world. If asking really led to receiving, if seeking really led to finding, then why is there so much unnecessary suffering and hardship? This verse doesn’t hold up when you look at the millions of lives that go unanswered, unheeded, and filled with pain. It’s a hollow promise that only works in idealized scenarios but crashes hard when faced with the world’s darkest realities.

I was a science teacher in a public school for years. I often talked about how science and religion go together more than the world says. I brought up the history of some scientists and they believed in God and were hired by the Catholic Church. They often were surprised and asked why this isn’t taught. Well, I did.
Oh, great, you were a science teacher in a public school, so clearly, you’re the authority on how science and religion "go together." But let’s be real-just because some scientists in history believed in God doesn’t automatically make it a valid link between science and religion. The fact is, science doesn’t need religion to explain the world. Many of those scientists, including the ones funded by the Catholic Church, were still making groundbreaking discoveries that directly contradicted the church’s teachings at the time.
Just because a few historical figures believed in a deity doesn’t mean the two systems-science and religion-are in any way compatible. In fact, science often directly challenges religious dogma. And as for teaching it in schools, just because you “taught” it doesn’t make it true. Religion doesn’t hold any weight in the scientific process, no matter how much you try to make them cozy up together.

@@colinpierre3441Absolutely the TRUTH. Thank you Colin. GOD bless you abundantly AMEN 🙏🏻✝️
What created the creator? Why does there *have* to be a force in charge? Just because you personally can’t imagine something coming from nothing doesn’t mean a creator must exist. That’s just an argument from ignorance. And even if we granted that something had to "cause" the universe, why assume it’s a conscious being, let alone a god? The laws of physics don’t need a divine babysitter to operate.
Saying "you can’t make something from nothing" also misunderstands cosmology. The Big Bang theory doesn’t claim the universe popped out of literal nothing-our understanding of physics just breaks down before a certain point. That doesn’t mean "god" is the answer; it means we don’t have all the answers yet. And inserting a creator doesn’t solve anything-it just pushes the question back one step: where did *that* creator come from? If you say it always existed, why not just say the universe itself (or a multiverse) always existed and cut out the middleman?
And if this "force" doesn’t know or care about you personally, then what’s the point? That’s just deism-functionally no different from atheism. A universe with an indifferent, impersonal "force" looks exactly the same as a universe with no god at all.
@@colinpierre3441 Why? There have been over 4000 religions and god claims and none, zero, zilch, nada got even close to being true. Once you understand why you reject every other god's claim then you will understand why we reject them all.

...really good video but, just for the record - 'agnosticism' is not about not being unsure whether or not God exists - that is a very common fallacy. Agnostiscim is actually an ideology (ie. an 'ism') which makes a positive assertion - that positive assertion is that the issue of whether or not God exists is irrelevant because, even if God does exist, it is impossible to know - it is knowledge that is beyond human capacity comprehend. It is absolutely NOT merely just not being unsure of God's existence.
Nice try but Christians who have experienced the miraculous entirely disagree. You CAN KNOW that God exists because He and only He has the capacity to radically and miraculously change a persons mind-set and lifestyle by affecting you from the inside out. He can lift you out of overwhelming grief and bring peace to a troubled mind through prayer. I attest to these things myself. Check out Rosaria Butterfield for a very radical example of a life radically altered.
Thanks for the definition. That's the mistake they make.
When you become filled with the Holy Spirit it's impossible not to know. It's like saying a person doesn't know when they are ill or hungry. It's a primal knowing and is evidenced by the radical changes in the person's life and personality. Jesus gives a supernatural peace. He also gives challenges. All for the Glory of God.

All of science is man’s feeble attempt to explain what and how God does what He does. It will never explain why.
WHAT!?!?!?
That’s some desperate, self-serving nonsense. Science isn't some "feeble attempt" to explain your god-it’s humanity’s most powerful tool for understanding reality, and it’s done a damn good job without needing to invoke magical sky wizards. Science has split atoms, eradicated diseases, mapped the cosmos, and extended human life-all through rigorous observation, experimentation, and reason. Meanwhile, religion has contributed what? Superstition, fear, and centuries of ignorance where real knowledge could have thrived.
You claim science "will never explain why," as if your god provides any better answer. Saying "god did it" isn't an explanation-it’s an intellectual dead-end. It's a lazy excuse to avoid actually learning. Science asks "why" all the time, and instead of hand-waving it away with divine mystery, it searches for real answers. If anything is feeble, it’s clinging to ancient myths while pretending they hold more truth than the incredible progress human intelligence has achieved.

@ Valid point, everyone does indeed have their own timeline to express their faith fully.
