The point is that Josephus lived shortly after the crucifixion of Christ so was still able to talk to people who probably knew Jesus and so he was able to put together a history of his life and by the way he also heard that people said that a number of people had seen Jesus after he was Dead and apparently resurrected so it’s just a comment by the way added to his history, indicating what some people must have said or believed.

What the guy said about alexander in the beginning is incredibly misleading. WE only have a history written 300 years later. Those historians and the ancient romans and more had infinitely way more source material plus physical pieces of his life.

When the new testament was written about half of it was removed so even if we believe everything in it we're only getting half the story at best. The life and death of Jesus and the contents of the Bible reek of censorship and cover-up. I'm not anti-religious but I strongly suspect there is a lot about Jesus that was hidden from us on purpose. For instance I'm not convinced he was single his whole life. No one stayed single in the ancient world. Life was too hard to stay single. I'm willing to believe in God but don't ask me to believe anything stupid, because God gave me a brain, and young strapping healthy carpenters in ancient Judea didn't stay single. He also had a brother no one talks about. Reeks of cover-up. He never mentioned starting a new religion yet there are thousands of new religions in his name today. I think that would horrify him. The writing of Jesus were all written within 100 yeas of his existence. The writings of ancient philosophers were written 1000 years after they existed yet more seem to accept the words of philosophers over the validated words of Jesus. BIGFOOT? really.

Great video, learn much from this, thank you! I THINK people are SO hesitant of the Bible BECAUSE Humanity is deranged and not to be trusted, at least in recent years. I have always thought of the Bible as a way to CONTROL the mass/populations and always viewed the Bible through this "filter", never really/fully trusting some of what is in the Bible, due to it being EDITED by Man. It's like a 200 year old "telephone game", where the core information has been retold, edited, plagiarized, coped across languages, etc. Even if/when the Bible's original writing was 10000% accurate, over time, over edits, over unscrupulous manipulation of rulers to force populations to fall in line, that divergence from original to "control" has grown and grown and grown! I DO BELIEVE in God, Jesus and the Bible, I just cannot find myself FULLY trusting in the Bible, I just do NOT trust man, being very flawed, opportunistic and deviant 😞
