Hi Lindsey, thx for this video. I've written all down what kind of food I should get. The thing with dough, egg and crunchy chips between it looks so yummy. Going to try this summer. It's nice how you talk to the sellers and explain what they answer. Your video is very useful for me and my family. I could show them the food, so they can prepare for some new stuff. Thanks again! Gr, Maggie
Wow! I've always thought that Chinese is such a difficult language, but you make it seem so easy! By the way, this is a great video and I love the fact that you are showing original, cultural things of China.
You really makes me mouth watering. Great video! I have been to Dongman for a few times but have never tried the food there. Looking forward to explore Dongman deeper in a month!
Girl, I'm moving back to China in 5 months from Toronto with my family and you are totally making me want to get going with my, presently non-existant, Chinese! Great VLOG! I love Shenzhen! Used to live in HK. Thanks for the videos!
+Lindsey Barnes hi , thanks for your video , let me miss my city which is in north part of china ... i am living in quebec ... which is totally different with my place ... our provincial government claimed to build a food street like china ,or like wherever on the earth which have food street ...for 6 years already ... there is still nothing !!! they still eat only Poutine .... Poutine ...Poutine ....Poutine ..... I like restaurant classic , and food occidental , but i miss my city ...
okay, but we still love the video!! Hope you don't mind how we linked it up to our central map with the location Shenzhen. Lord knows, people sure need advice when going there. Yours is cool !
Great video! I'm so glad I found it as I'll be travelling to Shenzen in Sept. Other than Dongmen, what other restaurants/places would you recommend? Looking to eat my way through Shenzen =)
radiostar82 I would honestly say just try whatever suits our fancy! There are so many good places. Shenzhen is an immigrant city, so there are a lot of sichuan, beifang, jiangzhou, and othe regional cuisines. Just be adventurous!
Great video babe! Sooo much food, it looks amazing. Loved the little piggy buns and the freshly made icecream. How are you settling in, back in New York, are you missing China at all? X x
It's funny, I actually kind of do miss it. After a country with almost one and a half billion people the US feels almost deserted, you know? I'm walking around in kind of a daze. It's going to take me some time to adjust!
Lindsey Barnes Wow yeah, I never thought of it like that! It must be quite a difference from China. Is it weird seeing almost all the signs and shops etc written in English? China looked very interesting from the videos you shared, it must have been nice to experience a whole different culture and you have the videos to look back on too, which is cool. :) Well, I hope you are happy and recovering nicely from the big move :) xx
Lindsey Barnes Ahh!! this food looks amazing, you know i have been to shenzhen and into dongmen many times and never ever found this place! I am leaving for shenzhen/hongkong in 11 days so i will defiantly try this food place! I also have one question for you if it's not too much trouble to ask! Shopping for males. as i am 24 is there anywhere in shenzhen that you suggest is a good place to shop for male fashions? I don't particularly want to go to H&M but i am looking for some standout clothing that would be slightly different from the western world (i'm from new zealand) so i guess you could say i dress similar to Australia or the USA. i'm looking for some cool jeans that have some rips in the legs i guess you could say? Distressed? thanks for your help. and if you have any other ideas of places i should visit while in shenzhen please let me know :D
nice video but I was wondering what's the white thing they eat by toothpicks it's a street food, it's in Jackie chan's movie "Drunken Master 1" in the beginning of the movie..I think it's fish but wish to know what exactly it was?
Hello again, my beauty! Just stopping by to let you know that I tagged you in my TMI tag. Would love to see your answers if you are interested in/want to do a tag :) I hope you are enjoying New York! :) xx
Lindsey Barnes I totally understand, I figured you were a busy girl and still getting things sorted. I am looking forward to your tag whenever you upload it and of course, you were the first person I thought of tagging :) xx
Hi Lindsey one of your fellow Vloggers is having a rough time in China. Maybe you can help him with some advice based on your many years in China. He is "loser laowai in China". Please help him. Poor guy.
I'm late to the party. Only just subscribed but you're no longer in China? :O Any plans to go back there or is that part of your life over? Also, how is your spoken Mandarin so good? Must've had years of practice. I really like your videos, they're well made.
Thanks for the sub! I don't plan to go back to live for as long as I did before, but I'll be going back once a year for a couple of weeks to visit friends and travel. Haha, I studied Mandarin in school and then the fivish years in China did the rest. I hope to do more China vids in the future - I've got one or two more than need editing before they go up.
