*just a quick update re:the south Delta. Tracy Oasis has probably the best on the water tackle shop around! Just make sure you call ahead if you're in need of the store. Self launching is always available even if the store is closed!* Good times Coop! Thanks for having me on! Tight lines from the SJBM!! 🎣
Great change of topic from your usual subjectss. With over 20 years of fishing all over the central & south Delta, I was really interested in the areas up north. Thank you both for discussing the ramps up in that area. Currently the water is clearing up earlier than the rest of the Delta meaning better fishing there first.
Couldn't be more timely. New to exploring the delta on my kayak and was researching launches over the weekend. This is invaluable information, especially the info on safe parking. Thanks for putting this together
This was really great, Steve. Thanks for putting this together. I’ve wondered how I might access the north delta. Those were helpful. Also the east side of the south looks interesting. Don’t sleep on Holland Riverside in the central. That’s one of my favorites. Thanks again!
Hey Steve, great idea to clarify boundaries. Very helpful for me, particularly the straight talk about some of the “areas of concern” both on the water and off. Hope to be back on water soon…maybe this weird weather will level out.
Hey Steve, thanks for asking. I am feeling good. Couple of small incisions and relatively little pain. Biggest issue is six week restriction on movement of left arm. Unfortunately, no fishing for a while. Weather and conditions made CL a lot of work for a few fish, nice 4-6lbs but no quantity. Saw water as high as 70 degrees but wind and cold nights….looking forward to getting back on Delta.
Thank you Steve, I like to try all over. Want to try more western delta. Like to launch at Wimpy's but often the lock at Walnut Grove is closed. Make sure to call before heading there if you want to go into Sacramento River.
@@indeeponthedeltawithstevec5997 Off for a week doing 1 year of "honey dos" in a week. Will be out mon/tues so really looking forward to the report today. Good Luck.
Thanks for this video. It really helped to clarify delta sections. In several videos I’ve seen a location where you have to load your boat onto a trailer, I believe operated by a state agency to get across the levee. It’s in the south delta. Can you tell me about that a little. Thanks
I think you are talking about some of the dykes down south. When the dykes are up there is a guy at the dyke that will load your boat with a tractor trailer and launch it on the other side - free. If you get the delta map the number to call for info. is listed.
DON'T LEAVE YOUR GARAGE DOOR OPENER IN YOUR VEHICLE EITHER !! they not only have your opener BUT they will also know where you live if they also find your registration !! and thanks for the break down Info 👊
I live in Lodi, and don’t have a boat. Would you be able to point me in the direction of some good places to fish for bass from the bank? Thank you in advance.
my husband work DFG fish water studies jet boat Rivers inn Mossdale launch/old river , grantline. middle river for 6yrs must be cautious logs and shallow water
Lock your glovebox too so they don’t go to your house to clean you out, they can get your car registration and use that info. They know your on the water. Little pro tip! Thanks Steve

Thanks for that info, I am not real familiar with all the in's and out's of the North launch sceen.
Very useful stuff right there. Thanks for the info on waters and vehicle safety that I’m not familiar with.
How's the fishing Keith?

There's also Lighthouse and Korths further down the Delta Loop from B&W . Not sure on cost on either one.
Thanks Calin, forgot all about that one.
Thanks Steve, Great Information. Do either of your friends guide on those sections of the Delta???
No but I will be doing a video with as many of the local guides as I can round up.

Damn Colin, that is a pro tip
Del's boat harbor south delta
Wish they would outlaw tournament fishing in the north region so they dont destroy it like the central and Franks Tract!
I am not against tournament fishing but I think there are far too many tournaments on the delta.
