I have been on several guided trips with Mark on the Delta. Every time I learn something new. He will definitely put you on the fish! He is an all around cool guy which makes the trips that much better.
Steve, I am a fan of yours, and a friend of Mark. To have the two of you together is fantastic. Will follow the next two segments and will look for more to come.
Thanks Free Spooling but I think you're getting interviewing mixed up with dock talking. I been dock talking all my life. I usually talk to the anglers no one knows, or if I'm fishing alone I'm talking to myself.
hi Steve, really like what you do. I watch all your videos and I have to say there's not a lot of fishing RUclipsrs bringing on special guests like you, I think that's a real niche. keep up the good work.
Thanks Mark. I plan to have as many guest on as I can get. Believe it or not I don't know everything and having knowledgeable guest just makes sense. More fun and information for viewers.
Thanks Mike. It was fun for me also. I always learn buy watching a guy like Mark. In the next video Mark shairs some really good information. Will load Part 2 tomorrow.
Steve that was fantastic. Good interview - very practical and helpful. I have tried punching and almost never catch anything. I’m really looking forward to seeing the next video to help put the visuals to the words. Maybe I can improve my results with some practice. Great idea having Mark in the boat. Mark, thanks for doing this! I’m a subscriber to the magazine and enjoy it. Great to see you on the channel!
I love to flip but punching has never been my forte. With the information you've given here should help immensely! I'm lookin forward to our next REBC tournament at the Delta!
Thanks for the support Ron. Make sure to watch Parts 2 and 3. I can't cover everything but you will have enough information to put you in the game. Grab a punch rod and get deep - let me know how you do. Good luck.
The tide was dead low and slack-no water movement. We needed the tide to start coming in-usually when the tide moves the fish tend to get a little more active.
Hey Adam sounds like you need to catch a few fish for a confidence boost. If your problem is just with punching thats not a really big thing. If your problem is just not catching fish, that can be a little more serious. For punching realize it will take a while and catching the first few fish may be the toughest part. Make sure to watch part 2 and 3 of the punch video. In part 2 you can watch Mark fish and see just how fast he covers water and what pace he likes. (Here's a fact-the day we filmed the video we both punched for about 4 or 5 hours and only caught a few small fish.) In part 3 I suggest mixing in a few other rigs, like the Tokyo rig and Bubba Shot. By integrating 3 or 4 similar rigs you can really up your numbers-gain confidence and gradually transition to full time punching. Let me know how you do.
@@indeeponthedeltawithstevec5997 I would agree need some confidence fish. Not trying to sound like a complainer but I've taken 2 trips to the delta from fresno so that's a 2+ hr drive and caught 1 10in striper I've dropped shoted use senkos spinners and produced nothing. And for covering water getting to different spots woth a 7.5 2 stroke its literally takes over 10 mins to get across sections and it's not just struggles there's anywhere I've fished this year has been a challenge this is my 2nd year of bass fishing last year no catches so far this year 5 or 6 since may. Idk just looking for tips or advice or even some ppl to pair up with and just learn from. Anyways thanks for taking the time to respond
I have compeated with Mark in the past. We talked about doing a video and Mark agreed to come out and shaire some info. Mark is in the busness of promoting fishing, he lives to fish, it wasn't hard to get him on the water.

Thanks Quinn. I think the best info Mark gives ( may be in part 2) is to just put a punch rod in hand and keep on it. Good luck.

When he said it wasn’t a good tide. What kind of tide was it !? Great videos too. Putting out good content
The tide was dead low and slack-no water movement. We needed the tide to start coming in-usually when the tide moves the fish tend to get a little more active.
I have a garmin 4 clear view and I still can't fully understand and my delta trips have been very unsuccessful any tips on what I can do to help?
