The build works perfectly. Also, the guy's accent, especially the way he says "girdle of ugdenbog" sends a vibe that he comes from the game's world. He knows too much. XD
Cool timing for this; I'd started a new blitzlord because my previous one respecced into 2H forcewave stuff and I wanted a separate one for something 1H (undecided still between S&B blitzing or DW phys EOR). Had been doing a basic phys damage approach, but now I want to switch to Menhir's Will and regen devotions to try out how that feels in 1.2 :)
Thank you for this great build, respecced my 97 warlord according to your guide. Only did some small changes, replaced righteous fervor with cadence and vires might ( using one of the leaps enchanted on medal instead )with judgment. Now i can group smaller enemies with judgment, explode them with blitz and burst everything with cadence until blitz is available from cd. Less tanky but so satisfying
Hey protoss, thanks for the SSF and guides. I am pretty dumb about making builds and etc, your videos help me A LOT while i'm leveling and searching items to hunt.
I have level maxed most of the builds from your top 10 beginner builds list and I am currently playing this one at level 80 with the "safe tanky" skill build and devotions. The tankiness with the regen and all that is impressive, but the damage is very lackluster, especially compared to the fire bomberman sorcerer I played right before this one. I will also try the damage devotion build though.
You mention your "generic beginner leveling tips" video, but I can't find it anywhere. I don't see it in the description or in your videos list. Which one are you talking about? Did I just miss it?
my 2 cents, early on cadence feels horrible. Take laceration with 1 point in blade arc along with the points in oleron before fully committing to shattering smash/righteous fervor for a smoother transition. Clears crowds easily and you wont miss the points. Do not invest in the bottom row of soldier at all early on.
Hey protoss, great guide! One thing that would be great to include for people like me would be an analysis on "what does this build shine at" and compare it to other build guides of yours. For example, maybe it shines at clear speed, maybe single target, maybe it shines at tankyness, maybe it has really high mobility but poor AoE, maybe it's just very well rounded and jack of all trades. The gameplay footage kind of does this to some extent but some opinion piece would be useful too! Complete side note: any tips on how to level a retal focused version of this / any retal build that's good for a fresh start? I've never played retal before and wanted to give it a shot as it's one of the few things in this game that has a unique way of scaling. But I don't really know which things I need to make it "click"
Perdition Set is really good for Levelking if you can get it, as is totally normal shield . However, I usually just level with forcewave until I have enough gear/levels to swap
Hi Rekt returning player here from 3 years of stop. Do you reccomand me this build as an actual good starter and a good farmer for other builds? It seems that this build can clean easily all content but... Let me know. Thanks and merry christmas!!!
@@rektbyprotoss thanks for the answer. Yeah, i understand that. But which build, 98 or 100, should i aim for as a final one? lvl 98 has purples and blues, lvl 100 has greens, skills really differ, as are devotions. Upd. Will use mad_lee's one. Thanks for all your guides, very helpful!
It's easier to get points to RF via Gargabol Rings, RF has a 50% higher chance to proc shattering smash and it generally is a bit less skill point hungry compared to cadence.
hey man just started playing again. I never finished elite before, but I'm almost done with a new character play-through on normal. Besides difficulty, is there any reason not to go right to ultimate? I don't have much time these days and would like to play end game and farm for alts vs play through the story 3 times. I just remember something about having to go through each diff. for factions etc, but if i can just do that in ultimate i'd rather grind there. Thanks for the amazing content!! edit: note I have all dlc
Awesome video, one question, I know people like to push builds to max, it's normal, but what's the SR lvl that would get you the most legendary loot? do you need to do SR 75+? Thanks!
I'm using the build by banana_peel but it can't survive lokarrs sunder, even when kiting the hp regen is too low. I think your build is the only way to do it in 1.2 by sacrificing damage for hp.
Sir Rekt ! :) good day to you, do you mind helping some newbie in the game? :( can you please guide me/us on the devotion step by step? i'm having a hard time getting behemoth devo. :( dont know what to do :( i appreciate the help thank you so much more power to your channel
The low level Milton's hat and warden's shield in your screenshots add a bunch of physical damage to blitz, but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore, according to grimtools at least. Do you still recommend switching to blitz this early? edit: Bloodbriar's Thorn also has no phys damage added at all anymore.
@@rektbyprotossAh alright then, I've only started playing it recently so I didn't really know what you were referring to. :D There's one thing I'd like to ask though. Am I gonna be able to get enough skill pts by the time I hit lvl 100 to cover 2 mastery skillbars 50/50?
Guess I'm just too dumb to play Grim Dawn correctly. Think this game was made for like Germans and East Asians level IQ. Those damned poison damage and health% damage chtonians kill my poor warlord in a flash. Even the spiders under devil's crossing killed me a few times. But I managed to defeat the slith queen thingy. I can't seem to find decent vitality/health% damage resistance. Let's not even discuss the poison and aether ground damage areas :/

The comment on his English here is so weird though. Why would it be native? It's the internet.

Like the new builds approach. You've really trimmed the fat off them. Nice job!

The grimtools links and what you actually do in the video are different, so I am confused

Yes, I'd also appreciate a link to this video he mentions being useful across all classes for those of us just starting out in Grim Dawn. Thank you!
Soon TM :D
what roll should I get for Milton's Casque?
Format was sexy. Nice job
Has "Shifting sands" been nerfed? I was looking at Madlee's and Bananapeels version and both use the devotion but not the "Shifting sands" node.

You say spam force wave with a transmitter at 1:40 what is transmitter?
The transmuter (green crystal) in forcewave's skill line, Tremor.
Can you give some tips on Cadence Warlord? I'm using Voldrak 2h mace
So in your early Grim Tool links you bind Assassins Blade to Forcewave. Why not Cadence or RF for that? Do they just not crit as often or something?
Give us the updated sky shard video nerd :P Also this looks like fun to be honest!

Why is there such a big difference in gear/skills/devotions between lvl98 and 100? Can't understand.
Getting to 100 is easy in GD, getting the gear a little harder.
