Another good video Tony. Will keep this one in mind if I ever re-do my stereo so I know what all the wires are. I always wanted a popup screen but could never afford one.
Yea, that is exactly what I had said before as well, and now that I have had one and it has finally died, I dont' think I will be getting another one. Just not worth it IMO. Hell, I never even looked at the screen lmao.
Thanks a million for this video!! I have a 1996 Camaro Z28 Convertible that i absolutely love!!!! I replaced my head unit and added to amps and have no sound...help please!!!! By the way that music is jamming!!!!!
You will be surprised on how much you can actually hear through the microphone on the hands free option. I have it hooked up in my car and it works rather well. Its not the greatest with a convertible and having someone's speech coming through the speakers at a red light, but it does make for some funny looks from those in the surrounding area lol.
lol, you may be right about that Glenn. I might just hook it up and give it a try. With all of these new laws in the past 10 years, driving, smoking a cig, talking on the phone, texting and shifting gears all at the same time are a think of the past. Did I mention you were steering the car going 80mph with your knee? hahahaha. Oh those were the good ole days!!!
I have a 94 z28 - trying to upgrade the radio - i have 2 bare wires that i cannot figure out what to do with. . . Each attached to the R or L cluster wires. I noticed you taking 2 wires and putting them together to a single wire in the car... is that something i need to do ? Im trying to do this together with my son as a little project so im not trying to take it to a shop 😂😂 i am just coming up short... i have all the power hook ups good. Its those dam speakers. I dont have the colors that a 94 model manuel says should be there.
does it sound good? I have a 96 z28 that had a bose stereo, and at low volumes it has alot of distortion, research says I need some kind of wiring harness?
Why in the name of Bob Porter did they make it so bloody hard to get access to the radio? Saw a video on a guy doing something similar to a 96 Firebird and the damn face just pops off, no fussing in the glove box and under the driver's wheel. *sighs* This was useful though, thanks.
I'm not sure "nice job" would be the right words here lol. This was by far the worst installation I have ever done lol. But, thought some would get a kick out of it. Thanks for the sub!!
Best bet there is to post up some pictures, make and model of car on the forum. That will allow us to see what you are working on. Hope to see you on there soon. Be sure to say you went there because of the video. www.Z28.com
Well he's doing this video with the idea that most people aren't going to have that mess of wires to deal with. Most people will have the wiring harness and not have to solder wires together. The video isn't about which wires go where and the electrical complexities of it. He's just doing an overall walk through of just how to do it.
This was helpful. I have a 94 Camaro I will be replacing the head unit on.
Ah, no wonder my previous owner installed aftermarket radio hangs limply- I don't have that front facing black bracket part 🤣

Where's your speaker instal video?
Thank you! I didn’t know how to remove the bezel or anything on this car; awesome video.
Thanks Juan. www.Z28.com

There is not a light blue or yellow wire for the speakers.. but there are 2 exposed wires.

But i have a 1986 Z-28 Camaro 😬
So this video will not apply to you...
Nearest nothing if explaining exactly where the wires went. I call bullshit on the install due to the hidden info you failed to give
