Hi, the oil pump or the bearing clearances were probably already ruined! in short you will have taught us a rescue trick with this cut rod and latch removed from the camshafts
I'm so overwhelmed I gotta take my b16 out and build it lol this guy pulls motors and swaps parts like nothing lol damn you are quick bet you could swap it in a day haha ( but I would want all my pistons thanks ) 🤣
@@Ruined4bangermy and my friends took and an evening and the next morning to get a transmission onto a engine with a new clutch 😂😅(first time doing it haha). Eyeballing the clutch plate to the center of the pressure blade, non the pilot bearing and having the engine vertical and stacking the transmission on from the top in 2 worked first try but we lost a bunch of time trying to use a stupid tool and putting the tranny on from the side before that attempt.
It's all about having the proper tools to keep things moving. Impacts are a must for balancer bolts, and rusty units that haven't been disassembled before.
Absolutely not, that’s far you’ll probably ever own, as for the all-wheel-drive and usability. But for a car, that’s easy to work on, you’re going to need yourself a Honda Civic. Avoid 2001 through 2005.
I've done it before in a civic, I was being cheap and didn't want to drain the trans oil. I think I had to pull off the balancer to get the engine over far enough to get the input shaft out of the clutch.
No it's way easier. That's how I do it every time. All you have to do is keep the transmission on a jack, and like ^he said remove the balancer for clearance on the driver side.
It should be golden now. RUclips’s formatting was messing it up before but I’ve been saving it in their recommended formate so it should be perfect. I had to reupload the 2023 compilation because of it being mega dark again
Never seen anyone hustle engines so fast good lord
I feel like it was slow. That’s why I timed it 🤣
"Good enough for who it's for"👌
Early to the party cant wait to see more of your crazy shit
Can you make a tour of your compound that’ll be nice ?!!
I’ve told myself I’d never show the entire building. I don’t want the exposure to what I have or anyone else renting the rest of the building.
@Ruined4banger yes best keep it like that. Especially where you live lol.

It’s a easy day job to knock it out

I would of used the water pump and belt of the old motor 😂😂
I had already ordered the kit cause the motor was in another vehicle prior years
Would you recommend older Hondas, specifically a manual CRV like this as a good project car to learn to work on cars with

@@Ruined4banger whats so bad about civics of those years?
@@gasNmudtv d17 is the worst engine Honda made
did it fail because it was already fu*ked, or did it fail because the rod was taken out?
I’m going with the bearings we’re roached and it was already to late
bummer, i wanted to see this last 10k miles, and get 10-20% better fuel mileage! lol@@Ruined4banger
Hey I see you used a certain brand for your wrap, about 8months ago just wondering how that brand has been holding up? thanks
Doing great. I love how it pops when I wash it up. Glossy and not peeling at all
@@Ruined4banger thank you so much for your quickly reply
I did this about 2 years ago with the help from Brent from pfi speed. It only lasted about 3 months
Whoooooo hooooooo
Way easier to pull the motor and trans at the same time. Leaving the trans in place makes it infinitely harder to install a motor in a Honda.

The video is still quite dark or is it just my eyes
