You know if you saw Howie and Chris together you wouldn't think they were father and son you would think they were brothers especially since Chris isn't clean shaven like his father
I swear I've never seen so much family bonding after a Super Bowl before in my life. The Long family, The Bennett brothers, Tom Bradys family. It's really special.
John Hansmeyer Yep he is real classy. U can especially tell in this game. There was times during kickoffs and returns when things got chippy with Atlanta when the pats were down that the patriots seem like they were going to brawl. But Matt kept the unit calm and cool headed which avoided penalties that could've cost us. That is why the Patriots are the Greatest Franchise and team. U saw with seattle and how they showed their true colors and picked a fight when losing. Patriots have leaders on the field for all three phases of the game. Reasons why Belichick is the GOAT at coaching.
This was an excellent example of "The Patriot Way" im glad we have a guy like Chris Long on the team and im ecstatic for Howie i know how proud he is of his sons but to watch his oldest son win the super bowl has to be one of the best moments of his life.
It can't be helped though. He was consider a bust and not as good as his brother Kyle Long (who play for the bears...ouch), but NE made him a force to be reckon with. Those two holding calls he put on Mathews change the game.
Consider he was picked Second overall, you could consider him a bust (His lone accomplishment before this season was All-NFL rookie team). His brother Kyle, picked 5 years after him (at pick 20), has already been to 3 pro bowls and a second team all-pro
i always liked CLong and am happy for his (and Amendola's and Illini Mike's) success, but Long underperformed as a #2 overall pick who did not make his team better & never played in a pro bowl. Looked at as a solid vet near the top of Journeyman heap, he's not a bust.
Long was a terror in St. Luis and was hurt the last 2 years there. You're wrong.. He had 50 sacks in his first 6 seasons. This was his first healthy year in years. He was selected to 4 Pro Bowls by the way. Seasons of 8.5, 11.5, 13.5, 8.5 sacks.. You're clueless. He has played ALL OVER the defensive side of the ball as well, just like this year for NE> Stats are for losers. He's a WORLD CHAMPION!
Chris long is a stand up guy...he's an exact carbon copy of his father...it's crazy the intricate similarities they share. What an experience to share with your father...that is amazing. This guy has good character
Appreciate the unity in diversity thought of Chris. He said football helped him widen his perspective of the world with men from all regions of America. He said he learned what collaboration is with others of different identities and ideologies.~ Baha'i Thought
They almost look like Brothers instead of Father/Son. The best part though was Patriot Nation and Bob Kraft throwing Shades at Godell on the Podium..........EAT CROW ROGER !!!!!!
@Griff & Hector, That is so true! They look more like Brothers than Father and Son. The genes are strong in that family...if you're going to be a Grandpa, why not look (and move) like you're still in your 40s while doing it?
Hard not to get a little choked up listening to Howie talk about his sons efforts and how proud he is of him, Great to see. Congratulations Chris on your Super Bowl victory. You deserve every bit of it.
I love how he said that loving football isn't about loving it everyday. That's so true, the expectation that in order to love the game you have to love every practice is ridiculous. Wise words from Chris Long.
as a pats fan I'm so happy we picked up Chris Long. solid player with a high motor. that holding penalty he forced was enormous. I'm real happy for Howie too great moment as a father. also much respect to the Falcons great team young and they will be back. great game guys
Howie actually won his first superbowl in only 3 years, He was a big part of Raiders "1984" superbowl victory over redskins. What a talented family of great football MEN !!!! God bless the Long Family 🍀
I have to admit.....I am a HUGE Howie Long fan. As a woman I've always found him EXTREMELY attractive and an awesome football player. So I was just looking through videos related to the Super Bowl Game. And I loved seeing this interview. At the 03:10 mark I got a little teary-eyed' listening to Howie talk about his son and seeing the interaction between the two. It really is a blessing to have loving, supportive parents who help guide you through life and that you can lean on when things aren't going well. And when you have those 'victories' in life you still have your parents around to celebrate the good times with you. And last, but not least, congrats to Chris on finally getting his ring.
Congratulations to the Long family on their recent Super Bowl win and ring going to the Great ,Great Super Bowl Champions New England Patriots as well as to Chris Howie Long...another great execution of a historical NFL win in the sport ,game of Pro Football.
A humble man, is the best man on any team. Now try having a whole team of people, with that same mindset, and coming at you at speed of light. Yeah, your going to win Superbowls by the dozens, and that's coming from a Raider fan.
That man howie bro he put his sons in position to succeed time and time again for him this is just a reminder he did good for em and they accomplished there goals when they were just little kids
Man I'm a Raider fan, but I'm so happy Howie's son won a Super Bowl. His father was a great player and the Pats should be glad to have his son on the team.
Just found out Tom Brady, is from the town right next to mine. Pretty cool the GOAT is from my area. Raider Legend Howie, and his wife raise winners, clearly.
How many people watch this and know how good Bradshaw was? He doesn't claim to have been great and he wasn't, but he was a very good quarterback on a great team with a great coach himself. His question to Long is not idle.
Dang, Howie had the feels sitting next to his Superbowl Champion son! Proud dad moment right there!
You got it Nathaniel Williams!!!
Now Kyle needs to leave the Bears and join the Patriots so he can get a ring. I'm from Chicago and I know that Kyle Long is an excellent guard.
Nathaniel Williams bd
You know if you saw Howie and Chris together you wouldn't think they were father and son you would think they were brothers especially since Chris isn't clean shaven like his father
Father son - two super bowl rings a piece! Nice synchronicity!
You can tell Howie was very emotional. He was so proud.
I love how Chris is riding a high and busting Howie’s chops and Howie is just absolutely overcome with pride.
I swear I've never seen so much family bonding after a Super Bowl before in my life. The Long family, The Bennett brothers, Tom Bradys family. It's really special.
ImSooSwazy Jackie and Mattew Slater as well
BeastMode 21 I love Matthew Slater!

ImSooSwazy yes they are all about family doing for one another so everyone could get ahead.
i agree. its pretty cool. nice to remind people whats important.
"I did it in 9 years, and it took him 13.... so that's kind of sad." Chris is a savage! XD
Family Rivalry at its greatest 👌
thats not true tho. it took howie like 3 years to win a superbowl.
Excuse meee. Howie beat the Washington Redskins 38-9 in Howie's second year, so he beat his son by 7 years. And Howie didn't correct him. Nice guy.
Howie did it 13 years after he graduated the sixth grade maybe.
😂😂😂
great to see Chris win a ring with us!
Liam Garfield Us? what position do you play?
EJW1 You must be a Falcons fan....😂😂😂
Sam W. nope, not even close. 😁
EJW1 I actually played high school football, but I meant as a Patriot bcuz I'm a really big fan.
e james you're talking about Liam right???? lol
This was an excellent example of "The Patriot Way" im glad we have a guy like Chris Long on the team and im ecstatic for Howie i know how proud he is of his sons but to watch his oldest son win the super bowl has to be one of the best moments of his life.
2:10 I didn't know that but his dad talking about his son, I was like 😢😢😭
Lmao, he just won the Super Bowl, and these fools just keep reminding him he used to play for the Rams.... lok
It can't be helped though. He was consider a bust and not as good as his brother Kyle Long (who play for the bears...ouch), but NE made him a force to be reckon with. Those two holding calls he put on Mathews change the game.
jack90054 na he wasn't a bust. injury prone though so he wasn't relevant for a few different seasons
Consider he was picked Second overall, you could consider him a bust (His lone accomplishment before this season was All-NFL rookie team). His brother Kyle, picked 5 years after him (at pick 20), has already been to 3 pro bowls and a second team all-pro

Makes me miss my pops.
amazing moment. Howie was so proud of Chris he was tearing up.
What a team player and a gifted athlete. I really hope we keep him around.
Chris long is a stand up guy...he's an exact carbon copy of his father...it's crazy the intricate similarities they share. What an experience to share with your father...that is amazing. This guy has good character
that's awesome, you can sense the sincerity coming from him while he was explaining his feelings
Appreciate the unity in diversity thought of Chris. He said football helped him widen his perspective of the world with men from all regions of America. He said he learned what collaboration is with others of different identities and ideologies.~ Baha'i Thought
A wise man once said "Diversity breeds harmony". Couldn't hv said it better.
They almost look like Brothers instead of Father/Son.
The best part though was Patriot Nation and Bob Kraft throwing Shades at Godell on the Podium..........EAT CROW ROGER !!!!!!
Roger that!
@Griff & Hector, That is so true! They look more like Brothers than Father and Son. The genes are strong in that family...if you're going to be a Grandpa, why not look (and move) like you're still in your 40s while doing it?
howie has great genetics. retired players would say they would stare at his teeth and jawline and say"why does this bastard have such good teeth?
Griff Mustard agreed. Howie Long is aging well
Griff Mustard it's a thing called makeup
Hard not to get a little choked up listening to Howie talk about his sons efforts and how proud he is of him, Great to see. Congratulations Chris on your Super Bowl victory. You deserve every bit of it.

Great Dad, Son moment right there...God bless.
LOVE the severity and raw emotion on Howie's face through the first few minutes of his son's interview. Total papa pride there.......awesome
Loved what he did for us in stl & couldn't have been more happy for him.
Thats the best thing ever. Seeing your seed be happy & achieve their respective success. Cultivation.
Best game ever and best team ever.
That’s beautiful
Howie with Boston roots, his son with a Boston championship
I can relate to the Father/Son connection. My son and I have shared a lot of special times together.
as a father this almost brings tears to my eyes
I hope Chris wins another Super Bowl. He is such an amazing person. His dad is amazing as well
Good luck and thank you to Chris Long who helped the Patriots win it. He will always be an honorary Patriot.
Can't beat that
Great family. A champion family.
I'm so happy for Chris this shows that its not all about money if you come to the pats you will win...
Not really true but ok
as a pats fan I'm so happy we picked up Chris Long. solid player with a high motor. that holding penalty he forced was enormous. I'm real happy for Howie too great moment as a father. also much respect to the Falcons great team young and they will be back. great game guys
He cut his dad off because he didn't want to get emotional on national tv.
Yep it was obvious
Very cool. Happy for the both of them. Good dudes.
Great moment there, and great pick up for the Pats the past off season with Long. He did his job well! Thanks Chris!
Love seeing when fathers are misty and proud of their sons. Can't get enough of that!
Imagine how proud you’d be to see your kid win like this.
And Chris won 2 Super Bowls in his career. First with New England and 52 with Philadelphia
What a humble dude
Congratulations and welcome to Boston.
Glad for you, your family and Dad after so many years. Thanks for your sacrifice and hard work.
Cheers!

Hardworking guy that got what he deserved, I'm proud of him, & his accomplishments on/off the field.

Mike Vrabel no
Stg 🤣
He has more Super Bowls than his dad
Just found out Tom Brady, is from the town right next to mine. Pretty cool the GOAT is from my area. Raider Legend Howie, and his wife raise winners, clearly.
Such a close game
True, although it's the largest ever margin of victory for a Patriots team in the Super Bowl.
Zalis116
Yeah.
And the first time The Pats never even once had a lead in a Super Bowl in 60 minutes of play.
"Tom Ripped their hearts out..he is an assassin". Says it all....TB #12 the GOAT!
Great fball family
