I buy alot of knives every year, but none of them look as clean as his. Every one of those suckers looked brand new. I use the hell out of mine so they do the jobs I buy them for. I couldn't be a collector of knives, I'd feel bad not using them.
Amen!
I have a collection of retired knives, not using them should be illegal 😂
I see that exact same comment all the time and it bugs me. That's inherently a dumb comment. You are basically bragging about not being able to take care of your tools... I have beater knives too, but I also have nice knives that I take care of because its... Look at his $1100 Rockstead in this video, the edge is very scratched up because he uses it, he just also takes care of it so it's not covered in dirt because that would be weird...
@@clintflippo917 I said I use the hell out of mine, I didn't say I don't take care of them. And it's still a tool, I understand the difference between prices due to materials, but the $10 one generally does exactly the same thing the $1100 one does. It's like women and their handbags. I don't buy a knife as a Status symbol, I buy a knife out of necessity, plain and simple. I understand the collectors point of view and I was just expressing mine.
@@mendivil71 give yer wife her purse back sally! And stop swinging it at people.
That Rockstead is the best knife I've seen on this channel so far. So good! The cutting tests they do with those knives are insane.
Hey Jared, I honestly thought that my twin daughters has the best collection of knives, exactly the same ones that's showing but YOU have the complete knowledge, passion & respect about those cutting tools & its creator, that I must declare that you are really up there matey. It's a joy & educational just listening & watching you. Thank you for sharing your knowledge & expertise. Stay safe mate. Greetings from Australia.
🙏 👊
Hi. It’s great to hear your girls have a collection. I’m in far NQ and would love to meet up with other women who collect.

@@damir-medurecan a paring knife is illegal also then??
I got gotta get me some of them gilligan bearings. Those little buddies are so smooth.
@@sgvincent100
I read that those professor bearings are made with the new coconut husk/recycled plastic technology!
Jerad, thank you for sharing some fine specimens from your collection! That first Reate is just insanely gorgeous!
That Quiet Carry is beautiful! Excellent design. Clean, decent looking and functional!

Still trying to get an AD20…hope to find one in stock soon (somewhere). Fantastic knife pics.
Wow that japanese knife is a piece of art and on a complete another lvl.
"with the strenght comes robustness..." something we do not consider, when choosing a blade... at least I have not thought of... Thanks Jared, I appreciate that you always have something to share, and a dreamteam of knives you have in your collection...
👊
Beautiful knives but like super cars and models I can only admire from a distance. Thanks for sharing.
Start off by saving up for a knife around the 80 to 150$ you can get a great knife in that price range. He'll you can get great knives in the 50$ range especially if you b watch the channel. But in the future you can always save up and trade of sell
I totally agree, demko for the win, I wish the whole world could try them
You’ve got one hell of a collection.. love Demko Knives.
Those are some amazing knives. Obviously high end. I would never carry the Rockstead for fear of dropping or losing it. Left wondering.
It's definitely something special

Picked up the Cold Steel AD15 recently….awesome, beasty knife with a cool form factor and locking system. 3.5” S35VN blade, well built, Scorpion lock, unique action, scored LNIB for $117.
ooh I will look at that, that's in my ballpark
dern cold steel wasp
Cold Steel is the way to go best bang for the buck and you never feel bad actually using it cuz they're cheap enough you can buy another one but they're super strong 64 pieces and Counting
You definitely have some killer knives!!!! I have the Cold Steel AD15,,,,,it IS fantastic. 👍👍👍
Awesome knives, especially the Rockstead.
Great selection of awesome knives, would love to own any one of them. Favorite would have to be the Demko ones( dream knife AD20 full ti custom in 3v). Mind you the Rockstead is one that I would enjoy taking for a spin. Keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable.
Full ti in 3v would be insane

Some beautiful knives there. Thanks for the video
Some beautiful knives Thank You for sharing 👍🏻
So very biutiful poket knives
Beautiful !
Great video Neeves it's a blast seeing your collection.
Thanks Mark
Awsome choices brother 👌 they're all Strait fyyyahh 🔥🔥🔥😆✊tnxs for sharing 😎 👊
Awesome collection!
Katana blades on knives are both the most beautiful but also the most limited in uses. That first knife is stunning. I had a small obsession with katana swords for a long time and I'm still looking for a blind fury sword( technically not a katana) but you know what I mean.
Wow that's a lot of great knives! Thanks 🙂🙏
I just got hooked on the channel. Been checking it out off and on but now I’m hooked
👊
Not mayan. It´s the Aztec calendar in the third knife, and it´s gorgeous. Interesting collection, thanks for showing it.
You're right. Though incorrect, the official name for that pattern is the Mayan Calendar, just sayin haha.
You definitely have some stunning blades in you're collection. I just never could bring myself to spend $200 + on a pocket knife. There isn't nothing wrong with those who can do so though. Just for me I love to collect also but my most expensive is a Benchmade 15061 Grizzly Ridge @ $145.00 all my other's range from 35 to $100. But I always enjoy seeing people's stunning collection's.
Most of my collection falls under 150$ many even under 60$ I love all knives
Do you have any CRKT knives?

@@damir-medurecan There is nothing illegal about a flipper or thumbstud knife. But clearly you are just spamming and trolling.

Really like your Videos. I get to see some Really First Class Blades, Amen.

Nothing gets this man harder than the sound of a knife flipping open.
Well, there's a few other things
Great Review.. Cool knives!!
Other than the ad-15 which I sold, and the higo ($$$$), I have a version of all the others. Great taste Jerad! 😉👍
🔥 📛
I can't wrap my head around a $800 knife. More power to the community for seeing what I don't
Lucky there's plenty of incredible knives for everyone's budget
Wow!!! Some kickass knives!!
Thanks for sharing. 👍🇺🇸🤙🇺🇸✌️🍻🍻

13:06 Fun fact other knives I’ve disassembled have also had marks from a hardness tester hidden in things like the backspacer. I challenge you to find other knives of yours with it.
We can’t get enough 🤘🏼
Great knives!!! ✌️
this higo is incredible ! so gentlemen !
I'd love to have one of the Scorpion locking Cold Steel ones in black.... That looks like a beautiful knife and I live the locking mechanism.
Yeah they have a lightweight version now that's very affordable
@@NeevesKnives - Awesome.... Thanks for the info.
Awesome awesome 😎 knives
Popular misconception, thats actually the Aztec calendar. Love these videos!
That Rockstead outshines all over amazing knives, in my opinion, pun intended.
Never heard of the brand, but it's on my radar.
Due to my thin wallet atm, it will only be on my radar for a long time.
Thanks for sharing!
Yeah especially when you learn about them more and understand what goes into a Rockstead it's Def on another level
All gorgeous
Has anyone ever mentioned you sound like Tom Hanks? Love it haha only just discovering your videos and I'm a fan already!
Nice Presentation
Very cool 😎
Hard use sure, anodizing on aluminum is the only experience i have and it wears out quickly without hard use, is anodized titanium any different?
I hope so because i fell in love with that one with the mayan calender, but i wouldnt by it to stick it in a drawer thats for sure.
Beautiful selection of knives...that Rockstead is on a whole different level. The Demko AD20 is a beast, I have one in full titanium and love that knife...lock and blade are practically unbreakable.
Yeah it's toughness is on another level
Oh baby the Hinderer 🔥🔥🔥
My economy is far to get expensive knives, but I love my Para 3 and my rat 1... I'm from Mexico , my dream is the Demko AD20
Man that first one was the ish!!
When you said last but not least I just knew you were gonna break out that fully customized Mtech boot knife
Sweet knives -
"these come incredibly sharp"
Proceeds to run three fingers along the edge
I love Reate. Not sure if I can't find better for this price.
HRC is "Hardness, Rockwell C-scale". C is used for strong steels, but there is also a less common B and even A scale for softer materials. C67, for this knife, is very hard. As good or better as the best steel you're likely to find (piano wire). Good fencing blades which take a terrible beating compared to EDC knives, are about C62-64.
👊 atleast someone understands
I have yet to see a scythe style pocket knife that looks awesome and made from high-end steels.
About Hinderer - i had Maxace Goliath 2 - it also can be changed from bearings to washers (but washers sold separately)
hay Jared just a real quick question what is the hole in the blade for a lot of knives have them
Rockstead ist rly nice polished,
Ad20 makes interesting closing opening sounds.
To bad u didn't cut at least paper, would be nice to see/hear if there is some difference between rockstead and other ones.
Maybe next time 👊
Thanks for reminding me about Quiet Carry. Do you have their fixed blade “ The Current” ? I’ll scroll back through your videos in hopes of finding a review on that👍🏻
No I honestly didn't know they made one
Só maravilhas!
Классная коллекция
Very Very good... Marco, São Paulo, Brazil 🇧🇷🙏
👊
I love your content brother. I do have a small correction tho… it’s the Aztec calendar, not the Mayan calendar, on the Spartan knife.
Keep up the excellent info!
What are the benefits of each of the washer materials? Why would I use a teflon washer over phosphor bronze for example? Or instead of the ceramic bearings?
There's many reasons, smoothness vs drop shutty, dirt and debree, extreme hard use, preference
Awesome
Cool knives! The locking mechanism on the joker knife was interesting. I am looking to get my first knife and was wondering about what you recommended. I was thinking of getting the Sencut Actium, QSP Penguin, or maybe the civivi elementum. For some reason I’m not very keen on the elementum and was maybe thinking of buying the badlands instead. Let me know what you think. I watched your reviews on them and it’s still hard to pick which one to get because they all seem great lol.
It's hard, because there's so many great budget options these days. I really do like the Elementum, but it seems boring. The Actium is a more traditional style, which I don't know if that's what you're looking for. The badlands vagabond is a good option in that regard. Maybe look at the Brazen, keeping it in the Civivi family. Similar handle to the Actium, but a more sleek modern blade appearance.
Of those I would go with the Actium. The Sencut Episode is right up there too.
You really can't go wrong with any civivi knife
Thanks for the recommendations!
Badlands vagabond is really great, I love mine. Also check out white mountain knives exclusive version of the Maileah by CJRB, I just got one and it's really great, the build is like a knife $50 more expensive aside from the (still very good) steel
Man these are some fine knives...I think the most interesting I own is my limited edition Lynn C. Thompson Cold Steel Ti-Lite Kris...
Sweet, cold steel makes some great heavy hitters
@@NeevesKnives Cold Steele knives are great knives to get for the price if you dont get some of the models with special steeles...
wow, 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Do you have a Benchmade 42 and a Cold Steel Hatamoto San Mai III? Any Strider knives as well?
My fav is still my 1981 Puma Cadet
Love the Rockstead, they are very, very nice indeed. I'm looking for a specific knife to add to my collection and thought maybe you might know where to find one at. Specifically, a Cold Steel Espada XL. Not the El Cheapo AUS-10 version, either. The one with the S35VN blade and polished bolsters. I think they were somewhere in the $600 range, but they are sold out everywhere. Was that version a limited run or something?? Thanks for your time.
Yeah I think it was limited, you might find one on ebay
@NeevesKnives I'll keep checking on Ebay. There's just something about a folding pocket sword that intrigues me. It's probably totally impractical, but seeing some of your knives, I'm sure you understand the wanting exceeds the cost sometimes. Thanks again.
I want that Joker AD15 in my life
You have some cool/beautiful knives. One day 🙏
Cool
i really want a K2 but ive been holding out waiting for a quiet carry drift
Can that Mayan knife be front flipped? It looked like it had some jimping. Maybe just for grip. But it looked possible.
Yes but it's not the easiest but yes it can
You have amassed quite the unique collection. Assuming that you have purchased all of these yourself, what do you estimate the value of your collection to be? I have collected for decades, being that I'm 71 now, but I have to draw the line in the sand regarding price point. The most expensive knives that I own are fixed blades & they are the large knives from Cold Steel; the Natchez & Laredo Bowies, Trailmaster, Gurkha Kukri, Warcraft Tanto, etc. I've paid in the range of $500 for some, but that's my limit.
Honestly I have not purchased all of these and many in my collection were gifts, but my entire collection I can't even imagine the amount but probably in the 25k range give or take
@@NeevesKnives Pretty small collection then. My blades not all knives axes swords and various other edged weapons was about $ 60,000 worth sadly I came home from work one day and found my collection stolen 35 years of collection gone in an instant.
@@johnree6106
That’s horrible! Sorry for your experience. Hopefully your insurance reimbursed you at fair market value.
@@johnree6106 I know how that feels John I'm sorry to hear that
@@johnree6106 And I bet your mom threw out your baseball card collection lol. If only you still had that Honus Wagner, huh?
How can I get an original Demko Knives like the 4 Max, AD-15, Ad-10, or the Shark lock? Everywhere I look they are always sold out.
You have to go on Demkos site and get on his list or email list, that would be the best way imo
I just picked up the Liong Mah Warrior 2v3 and it has the same exact blade and similar handle but with shredded carbon fiber inlays on both scales as your first one the Reate K2. So theres another way to get that blade...
Sweeet!
Personally I consider AD20.5 a seriously flawed knife. I was jumping off of a countertop in a kitchen I was working on for my business and I felt and heard the blade pop open and close. A knifes detent should be strong enough so that never happens. I'm curious to know if the full size versions detent is that weak?
It doesn't use a detent system which does make it easy to open, I wouldn't recommend it for someone worried about that, but as long as you carry your knife on the side of your pocket it shouldn't open with tip up.
@@NeevesKnives well if your left handed the way the blade faces when opening could do some serious damage to parts I would like to keep untouched. All it would have taken is the blade to snag on the pants and go through them into a testicle upon me landing on my jump. It's a unsafe design and is regulated to my bag.
@@WhoIsSerafin yeah you want something with a different style lock

Dammit dude that Mayan calendar knife is really beautiful. It's a lot like myself. Damned good looking fancy but up for the hard shit too. Hahahahaha
That rockstead higo certainly is without compare to the demko for me
That Rockstead knife is pure art.
I would definitely be afraid to use a knife like that.
Do you use it Jared?
(Dave).
I do use it, I'd hate to die to tomorrow and never had gotten to use it even though I had the opportunity
Awesome knives man, Metal complex has a sick rockstead higo too.
I definitely want get my hands on an AD 20.5 but I hear people complain about the AUS-10A steel...is it that bad?
Awesome video man!
What are people saying about aus10 ? Considering the knifes popularity I imagine an upgrade is coming soon
Yeah I'm sure it will be upgraded, I wasn't extremely impressed with mine, and I like aus10 but I think the biggest issue is the price per material ls
@@Mridgwell I am still learning about the different steels but from what I have read, it is more of a budget steel and at that price point, people felt it should be a better steel. I may be totally wrong here so please correct me if I am wrong.
@@Erikhw187 I'm no expert either and I was only curious about where I could learn more about the steel in use . I enjoy the shit out of this hobby and enjoy learning whatever I can whenever I can . I do think the knife is overpriced for what it is but I feel the hype plays a bigger factor in that over the materials .
That K-2 is sweet Id sell one of my kids for that, in fact Id swap both of the kids for that K-2. I love the AD15, hope its finish is better than the AD20. Chin up from Shamesvile ALL!!!!!!!
👊
I like wc William Collins knives
You're killing it with your views lately man. Keep up the good work🤙🏻
🙏
That Micarta on the AD-15 got a sub from me.
EDIT: that G10 is 👌🏻
👊
The engraving on the Spartan Harshi is definitely not milled. It looks to be either laser engraved, or done via electrical discharge machining, or EDM for short. If it were milled you wouldn't have the sharp interior corners, nor would there be that darker, rougher surface finish because with milling you aren't literally burning the material away like you are with Laser engraving and EDM. (I'm only pointing this out because I'm a machinist by trade, and I have worked for a company that does both laser engraving and EDM).
I’d love a ad20 with a ad15 blade 👀
Make a video about Sandrin's Monza tungsten carbide knife
hey Jerad
do you maybe sell the ad15 (joker) I love this knife and this version in that colors is awesome ?
best regards Nico
Sorry it was a gift
@@NeevesKnives ok but thank you

I never thought of it like that but makes sense
My only question is why didn't you just do you favorite top 20? I have time and would watch it!
Also I would love to hear what people use to store their knives.. I have several roll up type multi storage and as of recent I have been purchasing the hard case storage for knives. I already have to dresses packed with knives.
My wife says I have too many knives. And what comes to my mind is she has a lot of dresser space so I can order some more... Right?
Because it's very difficult for me to pick my favorites, but I have promised to do one so I will do one soon.
