I KNOW I MESSED UP AND ADDED ANOTHER FOLDER LATER IN THE VIDEO LOL NOBODY SAID I WAS THE BEST EDITOR THANK YOU GUYS FOR WATCHING WE LOVE YOU AND APPRECIATE ALL THE SUPPORT THIS YEAR, AND WE ARE GOING TO ROCK 2023!
👊👊👊
I LOVE ROCKS!!!!!!!
It’s all good brother Jared
😂😂👌🏽
Здравствуй, дорогой друг. У тебя получился интересный топ, но я не увидел в нём ножи произведённые в России. Их сложно достать у вас?
For flippers in a "self defense" philosophy of use, one actually wants to have a flipper tab sticking out as a bit of a cross guard. This isn't to stop a blade from hitting your hand. It's to keep your hand from slipping up onto the blade when you stab. This is very easy to do, when one is in a high adrenaline situation.
I seriously think it’s cool you incorporated the Clinch Pick into an Knife/EDC video. I know you’re a “knife channel”, but the majority of the audience, I’d venture to say, are part of the “EDC” community. The Clinch Pick has a superb profile and the concept behind its inception and its uses inside of a “close quarters” scenario are second to none. Semper Fi Devil.
👊
There are better self defense knives. The clinch pick does not slash well
I think it's cool he INCLUDED it.
I am stunned to have found this appalling channel, anyone carrying any of knives will eventually use them, are you really encouraging knife crime?
Jarred you and metal complex are hands down my favorite knife reviews on RUclips
"It raises your testosterone, it's a statistical fact." I died laughing at that man.
One of my favorite RUclips channels. Thanks for sharing these with us. I started this video thinking “I really hope he has the Tkell nightstalker CQC in this lineup.”
Really cool selection. I love the way you twirl those knives in the hand so easily. I need to learn how to do that!
such a cool video dude, really helped me make an informed decision on an edged weapon to protect myself and others🙏
Very cool vid, there are definatly some knives that are tools first and a possible weapon second on the other hand there are knives such as push daggers that are designed first and foremost as a weapon. The balance between EDC tool and weapon is a fine line that many look for and it's great that you showed some good options for those as well. Personally I always look for the tool first as I have zero training in knife fighting but for anyone looking to get a knife for self defense I strongly suggest getting some training as without it you'll just end up making a bad situation much worse. Thanks for the great vid Jerad and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable
that dagger with a button/liner lock is so sick , such a simple clean and mean looking knife. thats moving up to next on purchase on my list
Great channel and presentation, you are the only one to be impartial by presenting knives of all origins, thank you.
Great video man. Love you content.
Love your content keep doing what you do!
👊
I’ve always liked to carry bigger knives as a backup to my concealed carry. My knives are mainly for boxes and packages but I like having options for self defense. Sometimes a gun is not an option or even accessible if your getting ground pounded.
Wow, your channel has absolutely exploded! I've been gone for a year, glad to see you reach the exposure you deserve!
P. S. I miss the OG intro soooo so much (.. my lovely wife Kara is.. ) :P
Welcome back! Hopefully we can keep you around this time lol 👊
love your show!!! keep it up
Love this video 👍👍💯
Me, being a buck knife guy since I was a kid, and my father too, I totally feel u about the fingergaurds bro 👍
Great Video my Friend and I’m glad you had Fixed Blades on the list. I carry a SOCP dagger and an Old 9100 Stryker lol it’s perfect. I have so many Knives to research now lol stay safe Semper Fidelis
👊
Definitely see a few knives I like. Idk why but every time I buy any kind of knife I always want it to be a good option for self defense as well lol. It may be stupid but that’s just how I am lol, I love my pm2 and my chaves liberation street for those reasons. They’d be great for self defense and they are great for any edc or outdoor task as well.
best knife video i think i have ever seen
After Jerad said “if you wonder why I do the wrist spin, it raises testosterone!” “That’s a fact.” I imagine him saying I could throw a football a quarter mile in high school 😂.
😆 🤣
I bet Jerad could throw a football over them mountains over there. 😁
@@myfavoriteviewer306 I’m saying!
Cool video thanks.
14:30 it looks HORRIBLE but damn, that is one mean machine
Thoughts on the Socom Alpha mini by MT? Gf just got me one for Christmas
Pretty gnarly and big cut on your right hand pointer finger bud! Hope it heals soon!
I have to agree with your top spot choosing from these knives, but I wish they’d add some sort of thumb ramp to the Clinch Pick. My favorite self defense knife I’ve come across that’s similar is the KaBar TDI Investigator. It’s basically the same size, and there’s all sorts of after market sheathes for it too. But it came out a while back so no chance of making this list lol.
I actually linked the Tops California Cobra in the description because I think that ones another great option. It's similar but also very different and I think it's a bit more versatile. The Kabar is also a good one I got a chance to handle one earlier this year
Thanks for this, it's a much chepaer alternative to clinch pick which is overpriced.
Thanks for having the gonads for doing a self defense segment without tap dancing around the issue which is to have a good perp stabber on your person. I admire your knife withdrawal and deployment skills which is an important component of the situation. I suspect that many perps would reconsider their next move after seeing you manipulate and wind up your eviscerator. Good show!
👊
Lol
Withdrawal and deployment is probably close to the most important point in sef defence applications
Excelentes navajas, knives. Cuanto cuestan cada uno, how mucho is the price each knives. Great video
I just bought the Sitivien ST-121. Looks better than the Actium and almost half the price so I went for it,we will see. Merry Christmas!
Yeah Tony was a special operator on COD Warzone I believe. Good useful video Bruh! BHQ has that custom version of the Harpoon in now. It’s like $400 though.
The spartan karambit by tu lam is pretty great. You don't want to fight someone with that thing.
ive also found that the camilus cuda mini pocket knife is really good when it comes to this catergory
Yeah that Harpoon from Kizer isn’t something I’d use for self defense unless you get better attachments because mine kept coming off and then the fact they didn’t add a dedicated finger protection
can somebody give to link to the flip knife to push daggers that he has and maybe what its called?
All of these knife youtubers all have hand cuts. Shit is just hilarious to me for some reason.
well
Well you can't trust knife reviewers who DON'T have cuts on their hands if you think about it... But it IS hilarious!!!
Love your videos Neeves. But I am a true believer that MOST button locks would be total shit for self-defence in the traditional blade forward grip (maybe not the case in reverse grip). One small tap on that button and your knife fails and fingers will be severly damaged as a result. Those stupid little buttons are almost always in a position to be accidentally bumped. I have the Conspirator and I thought it was so cool until I realized just how easy it is for that knife to fail.
I've yet to find a defense purposed knife any better than my Benchmade Contegos. Fully ambidextrous with a 'out of the way' Axis Lock. I wear one on both sides.
I would never carry a button lock for self-defense either-or OTF Auto they're just more for cool Factor not self-defense!
What do you call a guy who uses a button lock regularly for rough and ready use?
Stumpy.
These knives really caught me off guard, definitely gave me nightmares
Shtrong shelf defenshe, that is:)
I got a question is a wrist grip is more effective in self-defense
I know it's not new but the Spyderco spot is pretty good.
Hey, I got the maverick in 10V and the sheath on it is the stiff kind and I don't care for it. The sheath you have is vastly superior to the new one for how I like to carry (appendix).
That first knife, the Dagger Parrot, is just awesome.
I would love to buy it, but nobody sells it in my country.
*BANG BANG BIGGITY BANG!*
i always wondered if those daggerr knives were actually any good. they have a lot of vg10 which intrigues me as well as their spyderco esque blades
Fun assortment!
Just got the fox 599 Karambit for Xmas. Taking a look soon at the fox Karambit 599xt.
I’ve had bailsongs, Kershaws, Stilettos, spyderco, benchmade… nothing is as impressive as this fox 599 Karambit. It’s fast, it’s instant. It goes right to work. As a folder, it’s the ultimate defense/ “work” edc knife. Almost immediately the quality and snap of deployment put hair raising power in my hands. There’s retention, speed of deployment and audible “I’m not messing around.”
That all being said, it’s still a LINER LOCK. Hard to trust, that’s why I’m gonna get the 599xt.
At 11:20 minutes, what is the knife? name, what model Where can I find more information and order?
I can't imagine the button lock Elementum or Exo being good choices here. I have both but they're so fiddly, and the Exo is going to fail if your hand gets slapped. The thing is, you've got to be able to pull and deploy the tool if pinned/restrained/injured for it to be useful at all.
I'm not talking about fighting necessarily either just any situation where you need a knife in action fast, you need a very reliable opening and a knife that locks itself out. For example that time I had to cut my coworker off of a trailer when the driver was peeling out (he would have been drug along the pavement).
Nice list. Next time you have to incorporate a full size ballistics dummy for demo purposes. 😆
26:40, are there any clich pick cheaper alternatives?
Would love the LAST knife with double edge, on the video with fi,ed blade last. Reminds little of an ELVIRA and the other one with the blade other way. If double, you could use it as a claw and in front.🥰
How much for the 1st one where did you get it ?
Cold steel Spartan, once locked in hand, nearly impossible for the knife to be taken from you, not to mention it looks intimidating af.
@7:44 Impact of forward motion with resistance is different from a hammer strike with pull or drag. To be fair though if you are needing to stab something/someone out of self-defense it is already an extreme situation, so adrenaline is up and slicing your hand is the least of your worries.
those camera stabs feel a little threatening..... nice. haha, but side-profile stabs would help also. you can see the knife edge trajectory angle..
No crkt provoke on thr list? Love mine for my edc self defense
It came out before this year, I did however have another knife that's a karambit that did come out this year I forgot to add
Where would I order these knives? Especially the first one.
I linked everything in the description for you
A push dagger is hard to beat for self-defense and close quarters combat as long as it's a fixed blade
Cold steel safe maker one
Please get that Tacray knife to somewhere it can be purchased.
Extra large Espada! (;
My absolute favorite is the Voyager Vaquero XL serrated. But it doesn't even happen?
Where can i get it
Everytime I see the reate exo it mess with me, sending shrivers into my spine and all. Really really into those but is very hard to find.
But yeah I need one to calm my very soul
wrist spin increases testosterone lol love it
💪
Everyone forgets about the CEO flippers, those things are dangerous. Stabbed myself a few times LOL.
Come for the knives...stay for dem legs. Lol
If you've seen Nobody the movie, one of the Russians uses the Civivi Synergy. So they agree with you Jared.
No tanto blades?
My edc is an old ass buck 500 with maroon micarta scales and back when they made their blades with 440 ss. Back when that actually meant something, lol. It was my father's work knife when he ran a jewelry stand in the 90s. When he felt he needed something a little more.. defensive, he'd carry a buck 110. I do the same for the most part, but I live in a county I can open carry a sheath knife, so when I'm going out in the woods, or a neighborhood that I'm actually nervous to be in, I got my 120 pro with s35vn steel and olive green micarta handle. I love that knife. First s35vn I've ever had, and am very impressed with how much higher quality and tough the steel is. I straight machete wacked on a branch with it, and it was still sharp! I wanna get a s35vn/s30vn collection now, lol 🤣
1. Yojjmbo yojumbo
2. Spartan harsey
3. Spyderco police
4. Pro tech tr5
5. Best budget-American lawman
any made in usa, japan?
Surprised to not see a Black Talon II or a Matriarch 2 here
what knife is at 11:40? this video was very annoying for me to watch because you didn't say what brand and/or knife it is
Still love my Spyderco G10 Civilian, shit is menacing.
Nice video, but sadly most of the cooler/exotic knifes are banned here in germany cuz ... idk because ?
Still love my TDI the most.
Plus it outperforms the clinch pick
Clinch pick, yes.
All knifes are deadly
That lamella and the winterblade factor should win some awards this year ?
Yeah the factor for sure
i have seen liner locks fail, i had a cheaper knife that was a liner lock and it opened crossed the back of the blade to the far side and closed on a friend who then needed stitches
No Emerson knives? The OG of defensive folders.
I don't think they put anything out this year
Bro's camera has ptsd after this
lol
The deadlock OTF is the only OTF with zero blade play. Have you ever reviewed one?
ive only handled one at blade show, and yes they are sooo good and thats why i said most because the deadlock is on another level
@@NeevesKnives hey thanks for replying! I could only ever dream of even holding one lol. maybe someone that watches your channel has one and could lend it to you. There are a ton of knife channels on YT but I really appreciate your perspective in particular.
@@truthbetold7718 thank you I appreciate that 🙏
I wanna know the one at 11:45, is really cool for my collection...
its made by rike knives you can find it on ketuo usa
Brits choosing their weapon of Choice for the morning walk.
The crkt provoke should be on here
lots of good knives. but in my opinion self defense knife should be at least 4.5" long (I'm no expert in this but taking to account range and how deeply it can penetrate this is what makes sense to me) and ideally somewhere between 5"-7"
So really what makes one knife more “deadly” then another ?
Maxace just released the Rock, which looks just like the lemella for less money. Looks pretty wicked. And no Bastinellis on the list? You need to get some in for review man, they are THE self defence knives
We actually have one that was supposed to be on the list but Kara has it somewhere...
@@NeevesKnives lol nice, which one is it or is that classified?
Watching romantic comedies raises estrogen
You sohould not mess with knives look at your finger
What was that weird one that turned into a punch dagger? You never said what it was
I wanna see him learn balisong tricks for some reason
👍🍻
you, UNITED STATERS ARE CRAZY, B
Wheres the link for yhe "fun"knife
?? What was the fun I can't remember it's been a while
I swear you were in like the last 10 seconds of a dream I just had; reviewing maybe the most impractical blade to ever be featured. It was a copper damascus piece with 2 holes near the tip for flipping... and also the blade was like 40 inches long. Positively massive folder, comically large.
😆 🤣 that's hilarious, I'm still confused on what the holes near the tip would be for with flipping, but I get it some dreams just don't make any sense
Draw this knife, and get a knifemaker to create it. Could be a hit.
We’re you in Moscow, Idaho within the few months?
Ya know what's weird..ALL knives if long enuf are deadly
26:33 We need to see more of her. 1.) She is funny 2.) Female perspective 3.) Thumbnails: you will get 3x the clicks. And as for the clinch pick by shiv works, in my opinion I would pay the extra 48 dollars to have this 2.0 version double edged. If I can make any argument for a knife better wiith two edges it is the clinch pick since it has the blade on the opposite side we are used to. And obviously a blade goes into everything faster, smoother is it is double edged.
Shive works has some double edged choices going for 450 bucks! So the no frills basic one being 148 bucks seems even cheaper by comparison.
