5:34 It may be an unpopular opinion, but I love FRN scales on knives. they're plenty strong, very light, nice to the touch and always come with grippy textures
The Civivi Praxis is easily one of my all-time favorite knives, budget or not. It's a workhorse, the ergonomics are perfect for me, the action is silky smooth, and the blade shape and belly size are perfect. I love it.
He said look at that dirt. Oh btw. That's how u do it. Smooth and without skipping a beat. Wasn't a long pitch but couldn't been much better if longer. Glad to see how he's gonna handle that. Great to see them getting it in. Might have to give it a try
My favorite Kershaw is the link in 20cv, then the Kershaw volt ss, then the Kershaw flourish. I prefer spring assist to manual bearing openers. I like all knives but for fun and fidgeting balisongs are my favorite. My favorite edc knife is a Kershaw speed safe perfect for regular use and self defense, than ball bearing knives and lastly regular thumb stud knives
Great video as usual my dude. Noticed in the Microtech Socom Elite portion that you mentioned it was also switchable to tip up clip as well, but I think it is a truly tip down clip knife only. On that note, the new Rike made Microtech Socom Bravo's now have tip up carry in the new models, which the original models did not have. Anyways, thanks for the lengthy video; very cool concept indeed!
Yeah I thought about that afterwards but couldn't do anything about it as the damage was done 😆 and once it's uploaded and edited there's nothing I can do, talk about a head smacker, thank you for paying attention though
@@NeevesKnives No harm, no foul my guy 😂 With how many knives you have in hand on any given day, the fact that you stay as consistently error free as you do is an anomaly in its own right.
The scoria is such an underrated knife. Incredibly easy to carry for a knife of its size, super lightweight and slicey, and you can't really go wrong with ar-rpm9
With so many great knives out there it's difficult to choose which knife to carry. I find myself switching knives weekly and I always have 2 on me. Just fun to run into fellow knife bros and gals and see what everyone is carrying. Keep up the awesome work and hope you are well.
The Twosun 223 definitely has to be in my “Hall of Fame” of Twosuns for sure. And you know what’s really strange but I’m just now realizing how similar the 223 is to the WE Deacon. It’s like a larger beefier Deacon lol, it’s essentially perfect. 😆 and cool video 👌🏻 I enjoyed this one a lot
usually because its easier to close, and by making a knife tuned with good manual action it means they couldnt cut corners or it will show, with a spring they can cut corners in many ways. also alot of people like the control and the feeling of a knife with great action in opening and closing, also detents have become so good that you dont need springs anymore its an old way of doing what we can do very well now
Your sharpening skill shows on them edges . Good job . More knives to choose from and I never knew about any of these companies not for this video or liv them knives sale yesterday had lots of good leads 👍👍. I hope these makers help you fellas out because I ll be getting a few of these for sure and then I’m done for awhile 🙄.
I was not expecting a Tiege Hanley plug in this video. I thought it was kinda funny because I use this stuff religiously. The Wash product is probably the best facial cleanser available on the market. It does a really good job and doesn't dry out my skin. I occasionally use it more than twice a day, and I don't have any issues in that case. Incase anyone is wondering, Aaron Marino from the AlphaM YT channel is the founder of Tiege Hanley.
Fuggin love the riffle, I would probably switch the standard elementum with the picaro, definitely long but so fun to Deploy great detent. such affirmation when deployed for a lighter blade.
Fun list. I think I am batting over .500 on your list. I would go Umnumzaan over the Sebenza. For me, WE would be the Malice. So many knives, so little time.
I totally get that people complain about the button lock elementum only having the single deployment option, I thought the same thing at first. The fact that it’s locked close though, changes that. There’s no real good way to add a flipper or thumb stud, without removing the closelock, and that is, imo, what makes it unique. They should, of course, just make a second model that does have the flipper and button.
I've had four different versions of the CJRB Scoria and I have to say the Knifecenter Exclusive denim micarta version is the best in my opinion--I wasn't a big fan of the maroon micarta on the regular micarta version but the denim micarta is a completely different and way better feel. Would highly recommend everyone grab that version if you are interested in the Scoria--it's my second favorite under-$100 option and they are great knives. For Ganzo I think their Adimanti Skimen frame lock for under $30 is the best they offer. Amazing fit and finish, and much more elegant design than the other models here. For Ruike I want to advocate for the P128 which has a lot of slicing edge for the price. Great ergos and blade to handle ratio. Kizer * Vanguard * was missing from the list, so I have to promote the underrated Kizer Justice (specifically the blue G10 version) which is my favorite overall under-$100 EDC option. It is a large, sturdy knife but with a relatively slim profile in the pocket, and the detent/drop-shut action is amazing. Can't recommend highly enough for someone that wants a perfect utilitarian long drop point blade.
I agree with your favorites from Artisan and CJRB. Would love to see your favorites from Asher, Damned Designs, and Finch. Mine are the Asher Spiro Ti, Damned Designs Fenrir and Yokai, and Finch 1934. By the way, if you want to check out some Bestech knives, I have a few I can send.
Gotta disagree with you on your Kizer choice. That Azo designed Vanguard Begleiter XL is the best knife they have out imo. I like a slightly bigger knife than a smaller one. More cutting edge allows for longer usage before having to sharpen it. I’d love for them to make a run of them in Bohler M390. I’d buy one immediately.
Jerad! Video idea I see NO ONE talk about. How do you decide what to carry each day with so many options?? Please make a video about how to decide what to put in your pocket! Why does no one discuss this?? haha
Love this breakdown of faves. Could do another one with companies that you missed. Zero Tolerance, Protech are just the ones off the top of my head. Edit: boker, steel will, spartan.
I'm with you on the manix I like the spy27 so far. The slysz is cool but to me that blade design is much better as a fixed blade. Anything I would want that blade for I would rather be using a fixed blade. Plus I would probably never spend 500 on a folder.
Great vid as always! How bout a vid with favs of each deployment type or maybe lock type?! Might be tough when so many knives have multiple deployments now but maybe that would make it more interesting? Could do like fav front flipper, rear flipper, thumb stud only, etc. I dunno , just throwing an idea out there haha. Also your Kubey choice is good but if you haven’t already you seriously have to check out the Thalia or Ku331. I can open this knife like 9-10 different ways haha. Some of the best action of any knife in any price range. Awesome edc and fidgety knife. It does have the crazy long blade hole which I believe you said you may not be a fan of but I love it! I’d be happy to send you my denim blue one to check out if you’re interested!
Great video man I watched the whole thing 🔥 I like Finch Knives, Damned Designs, Protech, Petrified fish, Alot. I know you've checked out some of them I'm sure but maybe you just didn't have any for the vid 💪 ZT fell off bad to not have a spot as well 😭 ohh and the only good CRKT is the pillar 3 😂 and ❤️ Kubey Drake and Hyde is 🔥 with that 14c 🤪😂✌🏻
Genuine question for you guys- when a knife is meant to be strong, lots of people say..."...and it's a really tough knife- for a liner lock!". why is there an assumption there that having a liner lock somehow makes the knife less capable? I mean, you could easily reverse that and say "Its a tough knife..for a frame lock". To bend or break any kind of reasonably built liner lock you would have to really be trying to do it, and even then I think the pivot may give out first. I was just wondering what your thoughts are? Maybe a video where you quickly take on the pro's and con's of each knife locking system might be an idea (forgive me in advance if you've already done one!!).i All the best to you n your lovely wife, Jim

No ZT? Just say the 0652 Ti version(the carbon version is really good as well) and call it a day. It's a Henderer that you can actually buy lol. Until I finally got ahold of an actual Henderer it was my favorite knife and I still carry it from time to time. It was actually a better Henderer until they introduced the Tri-way pivot system imo but since they did that the build quality of Henderer wins out.
No shaman??
Great video!
