Thanks a lot for your vídeos!
I own an alfa romeo for 1 year and it was a cheap car with some simple work to do...for the last year I've been replacing and fixing those issues and now I'm into making a major inspection because I love the car, its pleasant to drive and I want to keep it as long as possible and your videos are helping me a lot on the inspection and on the decision on what to fix and what to inspect.
Thank you one more time for the great videos and the knowledge you've been sharing!
No problem, thank you very much for your support, it means a lot...
@@arcgarage Damn! I feel overwhelmed...You are basicly uploading videos explaining how to fix the same issues I have to fix on my GT 😄
@@mixtheking2 Great, hope you find the videos helpful...
@@arcgarageI have replaced everything the whole undercarriage on my 147 and after 1500km i can hear a clicking noise somewhere at the wheel left and right each time when i step on the gas,at changing gear and by start to drive in reverse...cant find the source.Only thing that I havent replaced are wheel bearing.Could it be the reason that these bearings are broken?
Thank you for the very informative video, much appreciated !
Glad it was helpful, thank you very much for support, it means a lot...
really well explained and good camera work. Thanks for your time and effort.
Glad it was helpful, thank you very much for support...
Your videos are great. Thanks very much
Thanks. Glad you like them
Nice! Can you do a few videos on headlight aiming and similar stuff that can easily be done and doesn't require special tools? Tips and tricks like how to keep condensation out of headligths seems like a cool topic for a video as well.
That's a good idea, I'll probably cover the headlight aiming in the next few videos...
@@arcgarage Thanks! Looking forward to it..
Great video thanks !!!
You are welcome
Hey dude, just found your channel today. Awesome content you are producing. Maybe a tip/recommendation/proposal... could you do a video about cavity protecting sills of the GT?
I have seen on other youtube videos, that Alfa puts "sound-profing" sponge like material wraped in plastic bag into the sills. To me this seems like completely stupid idea, like a receipe for disaster/corrosion of the sills. Ihave no idea what Alfa engineers were thinking with this one. Best designs for anti-rust are open profiles/designs. So that condensation can evaporate, and not store inside closed compartments.
I was thinking but maybe I am overthinking.... if I would drill holes from the underside of the car (like it is usually done to protect sills) to then apply cavity protection with compressor/spray paint gun,.... those bags with sponges inside, would get drilled into. And then condensation would really have chance to acumulate into that sponge. I may be overthinking I know, but I am very hairsplitting person x) Also it is very important how to jack-up the Alfa GT's in order not to crush the sills.
Keep it up with your videos man. Much appreciate time you take to provide this content.
Liked and subscribed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Big thanks for support. That part of the GT issue I've let my friend solve as soon as I got the car. He is into body work, and when he fixed the crushed sills on the GT he took out the sponges and applied wax to the inside of them.
@@arcgarage Awesome 👍
Thanks for this as always , I own a GT and some suspension work is due . I am also thinking to lower the car to achieve a more aggressive stance without compromising on ride quality. Any suggestions/advice on this would be much appreciated.
Thanks again for all the content man it’s super helpful 🙏❤️
Glad to help and thank you very much for support. Now when it comes to suspension, if you make it lower, the car will definitely harder which will affect the comfort, it all depends on what your priorities are...
@@arcgarage I am aware I will compromise some ride comfort but at the same time want to achieve an aggressive stance and reduce body roll.I wanted to know if you would do the same what brand springs/kit you will consider ?
Not much content out there on this topic for GT’s other than the 3.2v6 , mine is a 2.0 JTS.
@@markperera1877 i would suggest the koni adjustable yellow shock absorbers and h&r springs for the aggresive stance
Looks like a lot of work. Hope you are driving your gt the next year's. From which country are you from?
Thank you, It's nothing too major, can be done in an hour, if not less..
Great video as always, any suggestion for wiper blades for Alfa GT?
Thanks, I got Goodyear wiper blades, they're cheap and pretty good...
hi from Spain!!, i have a 2008 alfa romeo 147 jtdm, and when i go through a pothole the front suspension makes a very annoying noise "ñic ñic", what is the reason for this noise? Thanks!!
Hi, it is probably the upper wishbones...
@@arcgarage thank you very much, this fault is quite common in alfa romeo
@@themofas It is
Interesting. Thanks!
Thanks for watching...
how to take off the plastic cover under rear trailing arm on alfa 147? that plastic is not attached with screws and I wouldn't want to break it. I can't check the rear trailing arm because of that plastic. please help
If it's not attached with screws it is attached with plastic rivets
Can you make a video about passive swivel rear wheels?
Don't have an access to such system...
Have you thought about any Selespeed content ?
When I bought this GT, I was also looking for one with Selespeed, but it was in much rougher shape, so I went with this one. Since now I don't have access to it, it might have to wait until our next project car...
Ok it would make interesting content, as I own 2 - a TS and a GTA, everyone hates them, but I love them and are reliable if you keep them maintained
interesting but you forgot to show how to test the silent blocks of the stabilizer bar it is however one of the big points of weakness of GT and 147.may be next time.
You're right, I forgot about that, might cover it in one of the next videos...
Nice rims 18 Inc?
Yes they are
Mine is still good 💪👍
Only painful part to get changed is swaybar bushings. Still couldnt get them changed. I found a video which they take sway bar out like getting exhaust down, rear engine mount down, lower control arm long bolt out and lower saddle a bit. Then take swaybar out. The video is that ruclips.net/video/T0KaQ38Ig1g/видео.html but in Turkish language.
I forgot to cover that in the video...
