The Drift Challenge battle was really good! I'm Alex's spotter for all his drifting competitions. He really pushed himself to put on a good show with you and you guys killed it!
I'd love to see that car with the cletus touch. It always seemed like a great concept and fun to watch build, but seemed like bifb doesn't quite have the finesse to set it up right.
bifb is a hack so much sketchy shit where if it sticks its good enough. Wanna see a well put together build check out bad obsession and project binky. That's how you BUILD a car
It just shows the difference between tuning something for max power on the dyno, and then actually putting that power down on to the track. That thing looks like, aside from engine tuning and set up issues, it needs a real good suspension set up on it and the clutch doesn't seem too clever either. Chris needs to donate it to McFarland Racing LLC for a month or two down in sunny Fla, and let the guys do their thang on it.........
When Scott Palmer started driving Top Fuel, he had essentially what is a kill switch connected to the oil pressure transducer, it's a really good idea :)

I bought a hat about 5 months ago from Cleetus and wear it every day through harsh conditions and it’s still holding up! The old hats I used to buy would last a month! Customer for life man!
When Chris drove this car a bit after the build was "finished", I thought he didn't have the balls or skills to send it. But after seeing the car struggle so much with Cleetus, its clear its all tune. I'm curious how it will perform with a proper tune.

Chris doesn't have a drag strip and a literal race track he can take his cars too every other day to tune them / test them. He gets what ever he can on the streets of Portland... Where 7 months out of the year the roads are absolute garbage. His channel and content is based off of building cars, not driving them. If he had the same following of people interested in him actually driving the cars he builds he would be more reason to actually put out videos of them fully tuning/testing out the cars they build.

Not only the shell but when Cleet dumped the clutch and grabbed the brakes the front wheels stopped but the car rocked back n forth like it has marshmallows for a arm bushings, thats spooky to me in a car that caliber
Huracan monocoques are built with an integrated FIA certified "rollcage", and they work great. Until BIFB decided to cut it all up and sacrifice rigidity for who knows what reason.
I distinctly remember hearing Vaughn saying "Once you run with some big boys and you cant keep up, you'll come back asking for the real deal chassis" boom........full drift mode activated:)

Wheel is purposely off set so he can see dash. Suspension is also not set for drag as its not a specific drag car, its a multi purpose car. However it does need some tuning from a seasoned driver.
Crazy/Fun Idea - Take all the cars in your "fleet" and do a lap at the Freedom Factory and record the times. From then on, compare anything that comes to make a rip and see how everything stacks up. Everything! From Tractors, to Tanks (RipSaw)...etc. It'd be fun bragging rights.
Aaaaaand that’s the reason we’ve never seen Chris do anything similar with this car. There’s some cool designs on his channel but I don’t think the quality and pride is there

That lambo with all its issues still nearly beat my best time on my build back in the day... quality driver behind that wheel and a pretty decent build, it needs some tuning and refinement, I hope he gets it sorted in Florida!

Of course the other drivers at clutch kickers are going to walk all over poor Cleeter this season. They have dialed in cars and hundreds and hundreds of hours behind the wheel. Cleetus is running several flourishing businesses while still driving ten different vehicles a week it feels like. So how could he be on the same level?! Besides Taylor Ray mentioned a while back that once Cleetus gets his first taste of competing in the series he'll definitely want a killer drift car for himself. Poor Donnie going to semi retire me thinks.

@@beardedforlife3740 The rear's literally yawed to the right pointing the nose towards the left. The left rear is tracking to the inside of the left front. If you look at the inside view of the pass the steering wheel is pointed just under a quarter turn to the right to correct the crab walk.
Classic B is for build Form > Function. All that time and money and he still hasn't gotten that mess even aligned so the wheel is straight, and the tune is still absolute garbage.
