I'm a married adult with two kids. I have adult in-laws, my parents and adult siblings. All of us are well off and we don't need to buy each other gifts this time of year, for past 10 years or so we've made charity donations this time of year as an alternative to gift giving to the adults (for that kids? Yeah, go nuts buy them gifts, but the adults don't need more stuff). Just donated, thanks Jimmy
I like the simplicity and clean look. It makes me think of the Star Wars line where Obi Wan describes the light saber as " An elegant weapon, for a more civilized age". 🔥⚒️🗡️
I've never met Mr. DiResta but from his videos I assume he's the sort of maker who often wakes up in a cold sweat with an idea and can't relax until he's followed it through. I imagine he woke up and was like "RECLAIMED SAW MILL KNIVES" and here we are.
My knife blank arrived today! Tempted to leave it with the DIRESTA paint. Ordered a different blank today. Looking forward to finishing them both. Thanks Jimmy!
Something so adult & powerful about these great knives as though they say I give you the power to cut, but use me with care, respect & sense for if you are foolish I have no mercy! Thank you for sharing!
Отличная работа! Было приятно увидеть станок для заточки от техностудии "Профиль". Great job! It was nice to see a sharpening machine from the "TS Prof".
Best part of this video? The sponsor. Thanks Jimmie, for sharing with us. This is going to be my go to when I’m trying to decide where to allocate my charitable funds.
The upcycling I always want too do/see … all this potential greatness lost to a big box trash compactor … but Jimmy always finds a way to brighten the day!
Thank you again Jimmy. I've been turning pens for years as gifts for Christmas. I just bought my first knife kit, this video is just in time for me to complete the knife scales. I always love the video ending, especially when you chop something.
Morning coffee with the Mrs and a new Diresta build - Doesn't get much better than that!!😃. Similar to sawblades, old farm implement coulter disks work great for knives also.
Hey Jimmy, I recently learned a new term. I think it comes from football but you can use it how you want I'm sure. And that term is GOAT. That is how I feel about you!
Jimmy, GREAT Knife & GREAT Video -as always👍👍! Sandy & I Love💓, Love💓, Love💓 our DiResta Mugs!☕☕ Thank you so much for the 'Holiday DiResta-Count' (DiResta Discount)!
Always impressed with your efficiency, ingenuity, and craftsmanship. Also I just got my full size and mini ice picks in the mail recently, and the fit and finish is really nice, I couldn't be happier with them. Might have to pick up another pair for my brother! Anyhow, I hope your holiday season is a good one!
I love the design, curious though... Why CA glue for the scales? Isn't ca glue very brittle especially overtime and with no "tooth" in the scale materials for the glue to bite into...
I've been looking for a classic fat-bellied French/German 8" for years. This knife inspired me to search on. Even it it does look like a foot long haha.
Hey all - Just a quick update to let you know that My Giant DiResta Razors are Now Live Here: imakeny.com/products/diresta-razor-blade

I'm I awe of the reuse of old saw blades. It's not about having more, but about waisting less.
Crocodile Dundee: That is not a knife, THIS is a knife
Diresta: Hold my superglue
I knew I was not the only one that would think of that.

One beautiful knife Jimmy. I’m diggin the white/brass/steel contrast.
That clamp/end stop is a very clever way to keep the plunge lines consistent! Great build and video as usual, I learn something every time I watch.
Best part of this video? The sponsor. Thanks Jimmie, for sharing with us. This is going to be my go to when I’m trying to decide where to allocate my charitable funds.
That old saw steel is something else. Really like the finished product, nice work.
The upcycling I always want too do/see … all this potential greatness lost to a big box trash compactor … but Jimmy always finds a way to brighten the day!

That's not a knife this is a knife 👍 Amazing finished project. Love watching you work your magic 🦘
That knife is beautiful and frightening.
Morning coffee with the Mrs and a new Diresta build - Doesn't get much better than that!!😃. Similar to sawblades, old farm implement coulter disks work great for knives also.

I think Jimmy has unintentionally designed a very cool spoke pattern for custom wheels!
Nice.
Parting cut was awesome.
Awesome knife Jimmy. Thank you you inspire so many people I hope you always remember that.
It always puts my heart in my throat to watch you hog off material with the band saw...but the results are amazing. A beautiful knife.
No sharp object build with Diresta is complete without an armhair check. Nice knife Jimmy.
The white with the brass is super classy. Love it.

Hey Jimmy, Tom Lipton would be proud of all that filing.
This knife should've been named Zangetsu lmao. Once your done carving a roast beast, you can reap souls with it, love it.
Ideal for Christmas, i would call it the outlawed in-law dispatcher.
Nice one. Is there any heat treating, or tempering needed when you use a saw blade to make a knife?
Was wondering the same
The sawblade is already tempered. As long as he siento overheat the Blade during grinding It should be fine
Doesn't*
Herzamanki gibi çok iyi muhteşem 👏👏
That white handle really reminds me of the Lone Ranger!
Nice work!
Everything you do is impressive!..love all your work and as always, thanks for teaching!
