I’ve always had thick hair it’s still thick now even after the big chop. I’m excited to see what my crown does over the next few years! Thanks for sharing this you’ve motivated me 🥹
Your hair at 13 months is what I've gotten at 2 years, omg!!!! I also cut off my entire hair. Your growth is amazing and hair is beautiful and heaaaallllltttthhhy!!!
@BrookeHalliwelll-xIx4sl I've been natural for 1 year and 3 months now i keep on seeing length but my hair isn't as thick and full as my friends 4c hair but it's longer😢
Thank you for being real and honest and not just all extensions like so many others do. This video really made me feel better about my 2+ year natural hair growth journey.
its how you maintain it. Im sure you gowth isnt much slower. ITs all about lenght retention. So anything that prevents breakage. Starts with healthy moisturised hair. Aside from that , dont go to heavy handed on protective styles. IF not done corectly its doing the opposite of potecting the hair.. Try and see in your own regime , what might cause your breakage. There's no way your hair grows so slow compaed to this lady
@@misterae6430 But you also have to realise it comes down to genetics. Some grow much slower than others and they use the right products and techniques to maintain their hair.
Very realistic. I’m on year 3-4 and about the same length as yours..a bit shorter as I am very scissors happy and trim often. Used to think mine wasn’t growing but this has shown me otherwise. 🙂
Wow! What a beautiful journey 😍… I’m 2yrs, 7mos and I can’t wait to finally get a blowout and see how far I’ve come. Excited! Think I’ll do that at my 3yr mark.
I just stumbled upon this video to see where should my hair be at year 4 and with the hair trims I am spot on with my hair growth, this is exactly where my hair is thanks 😊 ❤️💯💪🏾
I haven't blow dried my hair in a while. I think I'm armpit length. In a couple years should reach your length. Truly motivational video. Thanks for sharing
You are so beautiful! This was such a fun video and very inspiring to see such progress! I haven’t seen someone go from bald to long hair before and this is just what I’ve been looking for, most people start from their chin or their shoulders down for the hair growth and that isn’t as extreme.
Your video is the first video that I've ever seen someone actually do a big chop and let their hair grow back I totally appreciate that. Thank you and your hair is gorgeous! 👑💜
Beautiful hair❤️ I'm definitely going to finally get back to waist length this year. Life and school made me spend less time moisturizing my hair as often as I should. I will get back to youtube in 2023. The first video will be my trim before the next growth journey.👏
It's normal when you're taking care of your hair and when it's healthy. I'm a black woman with am afro hair thatvi cut, then it grew out so fast, eo i can tell.
Going on this journey again but taking it seriously this time . I get upset that my hair isn’t growing but I go days without moisturizing it , months without trimming , never sat down to figure out what my hair likes and doesn’t like and go two weeks without washing my hair . I know my hair needs to be washed every week , water is my best friend , my hair likes olive and coconut oils , blue magic is the truth and I need to learn how to properly trim my hair .
OMG I am exactly the same and near enough in the exact same predicament. I big chopped my hair in 2020 and my hair is no way near hers 3 years later and I just feel so upset that it isn't growing at the rate it should be. But I'll be honest, when I cut my hair I didn't really know what to do, what my hair liked or didn't like and I was a bit lazy. The middle of the pandemic made it hard to source supplies and I was going through a stressful and upsetting relationship at the time. Then the next year I bleached my hair twice and it broke and dried out massively. I want to start again but I know I won't be happy taking 10 steps back so i'm dedicated to trimming every 4-6 months, deep conditioning, twists, braids outs, protective styles and being direct with correct products for my hair! I Hope your hair journey is going well. :)
I should have went natural 24 yrs ago when I got all my hair cut because it broke off really bad, but I didn’t know a thing about natural hair. Now at 55 I’m 4 yrs but only half the length of yours. Love your hair.
I love this video you did. I also did the big chop in 2020 on my hair. Since the chop my hair has grown within the two year span slightly above the middle of my back. I’ve been consistent with implementing a hair care routine and trimming when needed. I can’t wait to see how much I’ve achieved when I reach my year three marker. 😆
My hair grew back fast after a big chop too. Its long however I want it longer. It's a couple inches pass my shoulders. I haven't came up with a hair regimen yet which is why I'm here. I don't do much to my hair but I want to change that, a little. Thanks for sharing.
I relaxed my hair yesterday and almost all my hair fell off so I’m cutting of my hair tomorrow. I kept my hair for 4 years and 8 months and it only got to your 1 and a half year length… I hope my hair grows long too
That smile at the end of the video said, "Look at what my patience and consistency brought me!" and I just asdkhlfgherogjvlgjefk , because you did that!
I cut my hair bold 3 months ago. My hair is growing slow. It will be 4 months on December 7th. I been putting black castor oil and miele oil on my hair. Hopefully I will see better results in the 7 or 8 month mark. Your hair is sooo long and healthy. That's how I want my hair to grow. I always had long hair i just had thin edges .
I'm sitting here with a short women's fade now. Hopefully by the end of this year I get to come back to this video & just fall in love with hair growth❤️
I needed this. I am on a hair journey and I researched all kinds of oils found me a good hair cream shampoo and conditioner now I have a routine and taking it one day a time. Thanks for giving a realistic time frame for hair growth so I will know about where I should be in my hair growth journey as I move forward.
Thank for sharing I'm a lil late, but I loved your journey you have amazing and beautiful hair. I just did my second big chop in August I haven't hit the first month yet. Your video just gave me hope that as long as I keep my hair routine up ik that it'll grow.
Same as me! My hair is 4 years old this August and is a little shorter but also around mid back. I didn't do a big chop though. I transitioned and then cut off the relaxed ends after about a year. It's so weird to see hair growth that's nearly identical to mine! 🤗
I believe a lot of people do not see growth because they are trimming too often. Notice her 1st trim was at 17mths of hair growth. Her 2nd trim was at 2yrs and 6 mths.

Love the video. I am restarting my natural hair journey. Which I started this year but I didn’t do a big chop at all. I’m going to grow my hair throughout what I have and legit like 3-4 months since I’ve started my hair is flourishing because I literally got my own regimen to retain moisture & length. I feel probably by 2024 my journey will be completed but I’m going to make sure my ends always trim throughout the process to. Thank you this is very inspiring 🫶🏾☀️
Wow girl, your hair grows really fast! But I actually believe the trimmings plays a significant part with the deep conditioning. Did you ever wear braid extensions? My hair grows fast with extensions, but after I take it down after a month my ends are so frayed I end up cutting off about a half inch. So I just stop with the extensions.
I truly miss my long my hair lol it's time for me to get back on track of taking better care of my hair now. I love your journey it's very inspiring!💪🏽💪🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
