I don’t know why people aren’t catching onto this, but this judge is not being overly sympathetic or weak. She’s being methodical. She is trying to make the trial go as smoothly and normally as possible, while making record of his actions along the way, to make it so that he cannot argue mistrial or bias. She is trying to make this a “one and done” so that this doesn’t have to repeat in front of another judge, and to give the families peace. She’s not weak, she’s intelligent.

A good lawyer has the potential power to get him of with just a couple years in prison if not scott free by throwing in reasonable doubt that he was driving or try to spin some type of medical episode. Yes I know that it is unlikely but look at Casey Anthony there is no doubt she did it %1000000000 guilty yet a good lawyer was able to defeat a charge that was considered a slam dunk ( that could also be because she had a good lawyer and the presecuter was inept). Either way glad he chose to represent himself glad he was able to show the jury what kind of dangerous person he was and glad that this clown will exaust all appeals and never see freedom again IMO they need to take him out back and give him the good ol firing squad. I watch the trial every day, and so many people get upset with this judge for "letting" him get away with his nonsense. While I must admit I sometimes find myself screaming "throw his a$$ out!," too, at the end of the day, she really is doing a great job. She is ensuring that none of his rights, as much as it feels as if he has more than the victims, are being trampled upon. She's ensuring that there are no technicalities on which this verdict will be overturned. She's not weak, she's smart. She's being extremely strategic. I give her all the props! I hope she takes a nice long vacation after this trial and enjoys herself.
Mr. Brooks is going to spiral the closer the end of the trial gets. He knows his life is over for all intents and purposes. He doesn't understand the law works or how a trial should run. He thinks he's making points with the jury, however if I was a jurist in any case and had a defendant who behaved like this, it would be extremely difficult to ignore this kind of behavior. I suspect he'll continue to spiral further out of control as trial moves forward. As we saw with his ex, and his first witness, things will easily continue go against him.

What's amazing is how Darrell Brooks has turned his life around since the trial. I have never seen anything like it. Brilliant job in the courtroom and I hope the judge doesn't take any of it personal. But now, it's time for Brooks to go home. He needs to be released immediately. Just amazing.

He’s probably thinking he’s being a voice for the people who where wrongly accused, when in reality he’s making a complete fool of himself. I’ve noticed his entire tactic seems to be constantly pushing buttons until either the judge or the state acts out of character and thusly fueling his agenda and giving him what he wants. He’s in fight or flight mode, objecting to every question, every statement. When a narcissist has nothing left to lose, the plan goes from “prove everyone is wrong” to “everyone is going down with me”.
    All signs of narcissism.

As someone who lived with a narcissist all my life, until I cut them off 6 years ago, this is mostly true. It is prove everyone wrong and everyone is going down, except me. Except in this case, brooks has no out so yeah. He's going to see who he can take with him. I think with brooks there's a sociopathic element. While most Narcissists don't care about their victims, there's something a little more sinister about brooks, in my personal opinion. He's dangerous. I mean, maybe it's the fact that he's cornered and has no out but then again he beat his poor girlfriend more than once and tried to run her over right before he ran threw the parade and murdered 6 people. I think he's finding it difficult that none of his b.s. is working to get himself out of this. You can tell he tried his usual happy-go-lucky nonsense during his interrogation, during his request to represent himself, when questioning his girlfriend, etc. I've said this before but I think that as the trial comes to a close, I think he's going to spiral out of control and his behavior will will, too

You can't reason with this type of manipulative mentality that is convinced they are always right. The only way to beat this type of behavior is to follow the law line by line and allow the defendant to dig their own grave. He has no boundaries , no regard or respect for norms and standards because he was probably never taught or observed how to behave in society.
