Anyone who's ever sung a Metallica song for karaoke (or even just in general) will know how much fuckin fun it is to add an "AH" or a "YEAHAH" at the end of absolutely every line
You are rightAH
@@Yu-Fei-Hung yeeeeeeeaaaahh
Especially the "YeaYeah!!"
That's quintessential Hetfield.
@@nercksrule as a real metallica fan you know so or so every breath he took in that song...^^
Maybe that's where Sully from godsmack got that, he does that "ah" alot
James "YEAH!" Hetfield
*James "YEYYEA" Hetfield
** James YEYAtfield
James YEAHAHatafield
"I don't go "WHOAHH" all the time, but when I do I put a "YEAHHH" after it…"
This was still the "F YEAH MF" era
“Who knew orchestra could blend so well with Metallica”
Every Metallica fan: we know 😉
I couldnt say it better, friend 🤟🏼
The answer is Cliff Burton, back in 1983. Who was a fan of Bach
Bob Rock did, since there is an orchestra actually playing on the studio track of this particular song! There's even a version with only guitars and orchestra called "elevator version" which was released as a b-side.
I have to disagree. I didn't care for Symphony & Metallica at all, solely excluding that insanely brilliant rendition of Call of Ktulu.
We DO know! The songs are so well written that is was inevitable. I can't believe it took so long to do the second one!
I feel like Newstead never gets credit for his backing vox. He's got a really good voice.
Yuuup sadly overlooked
Underrated period. I've never heard a pickstyle player play so heavy and so clean at the same time. He's up there with Dave Ellefson as best pick player that I'd take over a lot of fingerstyle players.
@@IvyLeather13 from what I've seen hes just a good, humble dude too, that goes a long way in my eyes
Ikr he’s definitely better than Robert
I wish she would react to of wolf and man from the s&m concert
James Hatfield had a farm
E I E I O
YEAH
Amelia N Hetfield*
Such an underrated comment!
*E I E I OUUHH YEEAHH!
😂😂😂🤘
RIP Michael Kamen. he wrote the original arrangment on the '91 record, and finally got to conduct it live here.
I always thought “Bleeding me” on this album was one of the best songs James ever sang, worth checking out
Absofuckinglootly!!! Greatest song on the S&M album in my opinion
james Branner yes, and I’ve got to say the S&M rendition of bleeding me is probably their best live song, along with outlaw torn front the same album.
Álvaro Ybáñez totally agree, Outlaw Torn is brilliant.
In my opinion I felt this era was the best era for Jame’s voice.
Yep. I know Load wasn't well received overall but Bleeding Me was damn well done, and only done better on S&M.
This !
Dad: Turn it off
Me: Why??!
Dad: We have bigger speakers downstairs
this could be one of the most unoriginal comments
hahaha nice
First, it's unoriginal and overused and second, you're supposed to comment this on an actual song.
@@arbazann ikr
are you citing bird law?
I wish they'd hurry up and release S&M 2, I'm dieing to see/hear it.
Saw it at the cinema release last year. Is definely worth seeing. Whatever you think about the middle years of metallica this proves they've still got it 100%.
Awesome to hear
It’ll be worth it. Saw it in theaters. So damn good with a surround stereo system
I was at the second night in San Francisco. By far their best show I've ever been to. Then saw it twice in theatre. Didn't do it justice on the big screen. Anesthesia rocked that building!
I agree, I hope they release it soon. I was at night 2 in San Francisco and it was definitely an amazing concert and I still get goosebumps just thinking about it.
"be your own judge on what sounds cool" i love that quote
Robert Plant definitely didn't care what other people thought sounded cool. His own judge.
Every second is a delight. Beth Hetfield and James Roars... Sounds so right....
Well James was a lion 😂😂😂🦁🦁🦁
James probably said every style of "Yeah" on his life xd. React to Metallica - Harvester of Sorrow live in Moscow 1991
@Ron Lewenberg 1991
Harvester of Sorrow? Do you want to kill the lady?
@@fidacuca she can handle it she is done pantera before
I saw Beth/Metallica and I know right away that I must see this video!! ❤️❤️
I wish Jason's voice was higher in the mix during the "Never cared...." parts
Saaame always felt like he was overlooked sadly
I was honored to seeing them in San Fran last year for S&M 2. Mind blowing, life changing. Cant wait for the album to come out to relisten over and over again!!!
Carlos, lucky you! Man if you have photos from the concert, I'd be so grateful if you could share a few. I only saw s&m2 in cinema (twice).. my email address is tookiekido2@gmail.com
All the best from Serbia and keep safe.
Carlos Sanchez my band mate was there as well! You guys are so lucky! 🤘🏴☠️ I’m waiting for it to come out so I can experience it in some sense like you guys 🤘
Really? Wow
August, Lars just announced it, well sort of.
Papa Het wont be papa het without that "ah" " DID YOU HAVE FUN TONIGHTZZAAH?" "SHOW MEEEEHAAA" YEAAYYAAHA" anyone?! :D hes a genius!
*YEYYEEEAAAEAAAHHHH*
I love it! He has always done it, but he really turned the "YEAH's, YEAH-HEA's" and "UUH's" to 11 during the Load and ReLoad era😂
HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE ALIVE?!
@@WoundedEntertainment show me!
or without "Do you want heavy?", "Metallica gives you heavy". begins playing Sad but True
Beth I would watch you react to a snail walking. You are simply enchanting!!! Thank you :) I hope you are safe and well in this turbulent times:)
the back Vocal singer Jason Newsted is also great and knows how to Harmoney the main singer's voice very well
I love Jason but a lot of the times when in the studio version of a song there's great harmonies, live he'd just growl which I never liked
@@ivonahora true
@Wrong yes. He's the reason I wanted to pick up bass in the first place and he gave 110% during his 15 yeaes with Metallica, but it was a simple matter of singing a bit cleaner like he does here. Fuel would have sounded so much better live, for instance. There was still room for growling with the older songs.
@@ivonahora true..and also sad but true or enter sandman sound much better with back vocal harmony and not growl..and many other songs...like unforgiven etc
@@ivonahora watch their unforgiven live 1992 Jason and james has most beautiful vocal harmonies in their entore career together
I just absolutely adore how you enjoy this song!!
I know this is "the" song from the album.. but you should really really do "no leaf clover" from the same album.. incredible. And if you love strings, the 1min strings and reed intro to "battery" from the same.
Gooood I love that song so much, it's pure perfection! Highly agree with you!
I think the best song from this show was Outlaw Torn
@@anthonymonterosso7472 that, my friend- is all kinds of awesome. I hope they have "Unforgiven" o the sequel..
Definitely my favorite for years :)

Oh my... Beth, they did it again. S&M2 has been dropping to youtube in bits and pieces and you really, really ought to see the new orchestral/acoustic 'All Within My Hands'. Haunting song, they have it here: ruclips.net/video/EcG-htmIZR0/видео.html
Check this out, ruclips.net/video/pxoW-00Zyho/видео.html, the most beautiful cover ever, they and Apocaliptica are the best.
"Who would have thought orchestra and Metallica would meld so well".... Cliff Burton, noted Bach fan. May he forever rest in peace.
The changing stylistic approach through the song is something the original had. There's only the one verse, but he never sings it the same twice.
Yep may Cliff rest in peace. That man is the reason why Master of Puppets is my absolute favorite album by this band.
how could anyone listen to the song orion and not think metallica should be orchistrated.
Right when she said that my first thought was Cliff. R.I.P an absolute music master and legend.
I love how excited you get. Your reactions are the best
To see your enthusiasm, your smiling eyes to every chord, vowel and beat, translates the sheer love you have for music, it is riveting!!!! Love all your reactions, keep up the amazing work!
Twas great watching your reaction. Metal gives you an energy like no other music can and I saw it in your reaction, priceless
To me this album/concert is the best thing Metallica ever put out, every version is so emotionally intensified by the orchestra. This album is for all moods.
I love this and I love that you love this as well, I cannot fathom how much the SF orchestra musicians loved this and loved sharing this beautiful song ... it gives me goose bumps every time I watch it... .
Love your analysis of all these songs, makes me listen to it again in a whole new way almost like I'm hearing it again for the first time!
One of the greatest albums ever.
Orchestra and Metallica. Perfect combo.
James was really on top of his game here.
I was at an Metallica concert once and when they played this song... People who have not experienced that kind of rush cant comprehend how big that felt. Every bad thing just went away and I felt the purest love I ever felt until that point. I was connected to the crowd, the band and to the song itself. It was so huge!
So fun to see your delight, thank you Beth!
Your reaction when the last solo kicks in is actually heart melting, holy shit
When you have a professional opera singer enjoying this music is so awesome.
This whole concert is amazing. Has one of my favorite performances of "One" in it.
love that you are always smiling and seem genuinely positive and happy. it strikes me that seeing you upset or hurt would be so out of character that it would be much more devastating to witness.
Thank you so much Beth! I LOVE that you did this song!
I love that you get more into distortion vocals. I remember seeing the dir en grey - Macabre video that amaze you the primals sounds but you didn't know how he does it.
And know you have more knowledge about the subject and that's pretty cool and the recommendation of Vocalshacks Chanel super nice.
Loved your reaction
I think you will like "No leaf clover" very much. And it seems better to analyze.
Music I agree No leaf clover would be awesome!!! Not enough people analyze or react to it. Such a great song with lots of good musical composition.
@@MigiMaraMusic That's right friend, the song itself is little known. It can be quietly among the best in the band, besides it was specially composed to be played together with the Orchestra ... and the lyrics are also very good.
I think the B side of Nothing Else Matters 12", has a full orchestral version of this called The Elevator Mix.
..i think " So What " would be a great selection,, Growl octaves are achieved with vici0us intent.
Such a unrecognized song of Metallica which needs more exposure
Great description by the way, loved how you spoke about my favorite band.
I love you reaction! I found you from your "changes" video and haven't stopped watching. I try to sing on my own (in the car where its most fun haha) and your tips in the video are so helpful! This song is very meaningful to me as I have it tattooed on me, and I'm very happy you covered it. I'd love to get lessons from you when I'm able to afford it!
Love Metallica with a orchestra you're right it's a perfect pairing
I see Metallica!!!
I click, and I 👍 this video!!!!
Btw.: The best performance of this song, for me!!!
Wow. Awesome analysis. I love how you draw attention to the details I had noticed but never would have been able to articulate myself :)
Metal has saved my life so long ago and many times theres a beauty to metal and rnr that no other genre can give imo
Beth should react to "Creeping Death" live in Seattle 1989 or anything fast pr heavy by them where Jason does backing vocals
Saw that show live!..
@@Ogt92 me too! The first and best concert I've ever been to.
@@cltracy2921 lucky pepole both of you! Cheers!
Ow yess that would be something else
Creeping Death, Moscow 91. His voice is awesome there, lots of distortion on his vocals, and he’s really energetic
Ow my Lord yes
i know nothing about music other than if i like a song or not, but i could listen to you expain it all day! you are adorable and your passion is infectious!
Your very good at what you do Beth!.. Keep up the good work
When she said "I love strings" i'm like damn i love cheese strings as well.
Actually Tuomas Holopainen of Nightwish knew that Metallica (metal) and Hans Zimmer (classic) would fuse together just fine because their are his idols. ;) Here's an interview of his: untitledinterviews.com/en/interview-nightwish-tuomas-holopainen
PS. Their new album "Human :||: Nature" will be out tomorrow (Apr 10th). "Noise", "Harvest" and "Ad Astra" are out already as videos. The latest one is the end of their orchestral piece that is the nature part of their double CD.
I come here just to appreciate your beauty.
Please don't stop making my day better.
Love your videos!! Greettings from México!!
"Who would have thought orchestra and metallica melt so well??!!" Every one for the last twenty years in fact ... :D
Maybe she hasn't heard of bands like Rainbow. Or forget early fantasy metal, Kashmir by Led Zeppelin?
Umm.. more like the last 39 years. That's right.. they're (I'm old) Lol! True fan!
Just a few days short of 21 years. S&M was recorded on 21 and 22 April 1999.
@Wrong i m not your friendo, please read the sentence again, you missed something that was perfectly
clear...
1991 Budapest Monsters of Rock: ACDC, Metallica, Motley Crue, Queensryche - another time another life almost
Yeah 90-91-92 massive MOR lineups. We didn't know how good we had it at the time.
So cute when you'r just enjoying ☺️ Nice work on this vid!
I wore out my DVDs of this concert after it released. Loved the way it was put together.
Minus Human is one of my favorites from s&m.
Beth, you should really react the rest of this show, or metallica songs in general really!
Should do a 2hr reaction to the whole show live. I'd watch.
@@kennymoore7546 most definitely!
Wow! that’s amazing 🤩
Your voice is angelic I could hear you speak all day long!
Beth, you have to react "Heroes del silencio" singer's voice is amazing 💕
you should react to battery live seattle 1989. youll probably be impressed and horrified at his vocal technique at the same time lol
Lovely golden voice of James and of course Jason backing vocals. And what a explanation in details about their james voice.
That whole concert was spot on.
Great video.
Love Your Reactions As Usual...😍❤️
Next Up Should Be "HERO OF THE DAY", From The Same Concert....
Or The Outlaw Torn :D
Łukasz Maludy She Already Did It, Check It Out...
That's a great song, I think Load and Reload make for a better playlist than the Black album. It's less Bob Rock and more Rock.
She just needs to do a reaction to the whole show
You should listen to Gordon Lightfoot's "If you could read my mind".
Thank you for exposing the world to good music and hi-lighting the skill needed in genre's that a lot of people seem to have an aversion to.
Lightfoot is such an underrated artist these days! Hes one of those artists that when you hear his song you know it because its everywhere but you're not sure who actually sings it.
Love you, Beth! 😍
i really like how you explain things
The Important part : "YEAH"
From this show: One, Bleeding Me, Hero of the Day
Beth, I love your explanations.
Thank you! 😃
Love it.. thanks Beth..♥️♥️
Beth, please make youre reaction on Udo Dirkschneider, he has a very non-standard vocal !
Try Metallica: The Thing That Should Not Be (Live - Seattle '89)
+1!!!
TTSNB is not perfect choice i think, but Seattle '89 is good idea
I walked down the isle to this song. It means alot to me!!!! Love it
This entire show is pure genius and one of my favorite Metallica albums to this day.
Pleeeeease do Brothers of metal: Yggdrasil
Rammstein: mein herz brennt versión piano, please🤘🔥
Copyrighted to death
Basically anything from Rammstein is forbidden in RUclips.
This is my absolute favorite version of this song with the orchestra, it builds so well and intensely, I sing this in my car loudly
I'm just watching your Instagram... AND I LOVE IT! IT LOOKS SO COOL, BETH!
Michael Kiske- Helloween, Helloween . His voice is amazing
Kiske-Somerville has turned out some great music as well!
Should listen to doomed by Bring Me The Horizon live at the royal Albert hall if you like the orchestra with rock/metal
Goosebumps every damn time.
I love you Beth!!
Even Black and Extreme Metal Bands work with Orchestra .... check out Dimmu Borgir or Satyricon....
If you love the orchestra stuff you should try out some of avenged sevenfold live at the Grammy museum. Maybe roman sky?
Yes, Roman Sky ❤️
Great job as usual
James voice is like beauty and the beast to me, I absolutely adore it. I love Metallica with the orchestra 🖤
The Yeaaah is basically Hetfield's Shamona Hee hee.
Hi Beth, I would love to get your reaction to Queensryche - Silent Lucidity, a beautiful orchestral rock ballad, for me it is one of the best songs ever written by anyone! 😁
Geoff Tate's vocals are wonderful on this track, drop this into youtube search:
Queensryche - Silent Lucidity (Official Music Video)
watchtheskies Geoff is the total opposite of James on the talent spectrum, James couldn't hold Geoff's mic
Yes, silent lucidity and also "anybody listening"
Great video!
I love your musical joy you get excited over the same things i do lol. Keep up the great work, maybe in the future i can take a few voice lessons.
Please do! Thank you for watching!
James blew his voice out i belive in the late 90s and he started to see a vocal coach. This was 99 I wonder was all the technical things you spoke about a result of trying to change his singing habits?
macpac22 it was the early 90s during the Black Album tour.
He blew his voice out in late 90 early 91 during the seasons for The Black Album after singing the song So What. He didnt really heavily modify the way he sung in this video until maybe 96 around load and reload in 97. I think it was a little outta necessity due to him still struggling a bit and his voice deepening as well as some personal stylistic changes.
@@Khammett1962 James' voice got much MUCH better in the mid 90's in my opinion.
I liked his voice in the mid 90s as much as before, it went down hill the closer you got to the 2000s to me though.
@@ork_oz the song was part of the Unforgiven single that came out in October 91 so they couldnt have recorded it in 92.
You need to react to Rammstein again. This time maybe Ich tu dir weh, this is vocally very impressive!
Hey! Great suggestion! I did a reaction to Rammstein - Ich Tu Dir Weh (Live). Take a look here: ruclips.net/video/CeNWPoiAEyM/видео.html&lc=Ugyz8J9YBECdkUBUoq14AaABAg

Love when vocal coaches just take it all in especially with such am amazing song, please do a react to a live version where its james on a stool for until the ending solo, the passion is so intense
You should listen to MEGADETH- A Tout Le Monde please ,Beth Roars😎
Sounds like a constipated cat trying to speak french
I'm trying to implement Eddie Vedder's distortion in my singing
The first time I listened to S&M it brought me to tears. Incredible!
This whole concert is really worth watching. It's the original S&M show filmed (I'm proud to say) at my old high school auditorium which is a major concert venue in the east bay since the sixties.
In that show my favorite track 'No Leaf Clover' was written for this concert with an orchestra arrangement in mind and was performed for the first time that evening.
