It's not 10 hours off duty if conducting sleeper birth operations! A sleeper birth segment is actually required. Additionally, most long haul drivers operate on the 70 hours in 8 day rule. Perhaps a little brushing up on the hours of service is in order, typical of those that know little about trucking other than operating a computer.✌️

What if you were staying at a hotel? What if you just went home for the evening? No, sleeper birth isn't required. Unless you're using the 8/2 split.
