Hello, I'm a fellow Victor main (Tekken King) and I have some wall setups I haven't seen talked about that I think can make his wall pressure even more difficult to deal with. The way it works is when Victor is +3f near a wall he has access to a few jab trade punish setups using u1 / iai1. Now these 2 moves are i13, so when you are +3f, they will trade with i10 and leave you at +10f, which means you get a guaranteed 112 punish (27 dmg). There are a few moves that can give you the +3 setup and they are: u1d (hit) / iai1+2 (block) / iai4 (hit) / 112 (hit). Now here's where it gets even more fun. If you notice, you'll see the 112 trade punish also happens to be one of the setups that gives you the +3f to begin with, which means, you can actually loop into another u1 trade punish if they press! So to recap, here's a little flowchart I made for Victor's Trade Punish setups (near wall): - u1d (hit) > iai1 (trade) > 112 - iai4 (hit) > iai1 (trade) > 112 - iai1+2 (block) > u1 (trade) > 112 - 112 (hit) > u1 (trade) > 112 (loop)
@@Lotus_awakeningYea so between this and his wall sword oki, it makes his sword mix really confusing to deal with making Victor really dangerous at the wall
For the wall carry combo at 7 minutes in, you can get 92 damage with heat if after the CH do WR2 into df4, 2, into 4, 2, DB 1, 1, into perfumer 2, 2, into lai stance 2, dash heat activation, DB1, 1, into perfumer 3 heat dash, U 1+2!
Funny how after your last 2 videos I smoothly hit Raijin with only single lost set. Previous attempt put me into huge lose streak and tilt that I dropped down to freaking Flame Ruler. I had a huge problem with overcommitting into offense but idk somehow after few of your advices (especially from previous video) I managed to play way more calmly. Also thanks for wall setup advices, I was often struggling with applying proper pressure there.
@@bruhbruh5725 love to hear stuff like this, a lot of ppl think you need to play high octane with Victor and while he has strong pressure and mixups and he is a high risk low reward character. Top level victors abuse more of his counter hits, whiff punishing, poking game that is when Victor can get super annoying on top of the him having a strong heat game as well. I will always say take it slow with him and abuse your good mids and frustrate your opponent. Chipping away at your opponent will make them over extend and give you a big counter hit where Victor can then get his big damage. It also teaches you better defense and then you’ll be able to really be a force not just with Victor but any character in Tekken.
@@Lotus_awakening yeah I used to mostly watch how Meo Il plays and took a dozen of tricks from him but ultimately I was shooting myself in the foot by often mentally entering the state where I just think "I've gotta do this perfumer mixup, I've gotta do this iai trick asap" instead of following more level-headed neutral engaging. The huge toxicity of playerbase (at least for my region) in blue ranks also didn't really help to keep calm. And I guess before 1.05 powercrush and explusion used to save my ass more often during this flawed approach to Victor.

@@mohammedabdallah403 there are other tools to keep your opponent out with Victor, U2 is really good, D3 long range low poke, 3 1+2 is really good for controlling space, F1+2 super far mid but bad on whiff so be careful, DF2 is always been good to control space and keep the opponent from coming in, DB4 is a unsafe low but high crushes and provides you a lot of counter play when someone throws out a high.
