Unraid Guide: Setting Up qBittorrent with Vuetorrent UI
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 15 июл 2024
- qBittorrent is a cross-platform free and open-source BitTorrent client. qBittorrent is a native application written in C++. It uses Boost, Qt 5 toolkit, and libtorrent-rasterbar library. Its optional search engine is written in Python.
We'll be laying VueTorrent over the top. The sleekest looking WEBUI for qBittorrent made with Vuejs! It's mobile responsive and allows you to manage your torrents from any device with ease.
All this is done on Unraid, so we can show you how to use Krusader to manage permissions and edit files.

A big thank you to some of the developers who make these containers possible! (Binhex, Hotio to name a few).
Apologies for the mic cutting out early - OBS needs a smack or two.
What do you think of qBitorrent and the Vuetorrent UI? Do you prefer something else? Let us know in the comments!
Great video😀. Helped me with the port 8080 problem.👏
Wow never heard of Vuetorrent before. It looks sick thanks mate
No worries, cheers!
Great video again.
Privoxy tutorial on this would help a lot of people out.
Thanks Gary! I am doing a full media automation video in the future soon to help address this
Can you make a video to demonstrate how to install the docker of flood UI? The client I use is the docker version of qbitorrent, thank you
what's good for browser integration in chrome. I like having that mini status screen but can't find one that also adds in single click. What'r you guys using.
Thank you for providing this content. I did not see if this setup is using a vpn or not. Can you please explain if it is and if not, how to add a vpn for this application. Thank you in advance!
As a person that donated please do a video on Gluntun on Unraid please!
how can i use seperate folder other than my downloads folder to add theme? I tried and got "Unacceptable file type, only regular file is allowed" i fixed this by editing config file but how can i use a different folder other than download folder?
I keep having Qbittorrent stall on almost every download after a few minutes, I have gone through settings and made sure no pre-allocate and limited speed etc as suggested but it just stalls on every download. Even self hosted linux ISOs are stalling. Is there anyone else who has had this issue and found a fix to it?
I have this setup with sonarr. I get an error in sonarr saying “Download client is unavailable”. Any ideas?
One thing i wish all these things have is the same as Sabnzb where I in the info line can see my external Ip used.
Agreed!
can you do a video on how to setup the qbittorrent vpn app?
M80 you vids are awesome, thank you so much!
For some reason my torrent won't seed at all.
I am not using any VPN, and I've tried any combination with my port forwarding, and still can't upload. Could you please tell me how my port forwarding should look like? Let's say I've set up the Listening Port on qbit UI to be 55000, and the host and container ports are 8080, should I set the private port 8080 and the public port to 55000 while port forwarding? When I do it doesn't seem like it's open in doyouseeme 🤔
Thanks again for your help!
Usually inside the torrent UI there is a port you specify for connections, this port is the one you would forward on your router.
I am having problems with qbittorrent and deluge. They always use 100% of my cpu power even when I stop the downloads or restart the container. Is there a way to fix that?
Have you tried CPU pinning in the docker container? Still, you should find the root cause
Can you make a video about rtorrent and flood?
Hi there. Can i set it up under /config? Directly from the app data?
You can of you like, just remember usually that share is stored only on the cache so it could take up space. Personal preference
Well that didn't really work. "Unacceptable file type, only regular file is allowed."
Same here. Needed to put in full path "/app/vuetorrent"
This no longer works for some reason. Once you apply the vuetorrent UI all you get is a white page with the message "Unacceptable file type, only regular file is allowed."
im geting the same thing
@@HammerDogMinecraft ever figure this out? I was going to set this up too if the issue is fixed.
When you extract vuetorrent from github, the source folder is located under vuetorrent/vuetorrent/public. When you entered the path to the theme, you must have entered data/theme/vuetorrrent. You need to put data/theme/vuetorrrent/vuetorrent. qBittorrent is looking for the public folder.
@@lee_9223 still doesn't work, the same exact error
@@lee_9223 I wish that resolved it but it did not.
why use seperate download and media user share? it is way better to have an single share for your downloads and media. this way you can take the full advantage of docker and have atomic moves and hardlinks with no hassle..
Hmm well look I stand to be corrected if that's the case. This is just how I've been doing it for a long time without issues but maybe it needs updating?
I use delugeVPN. I like the fact that the torrent client has the always on vpn connection
He used the vpn version as well but just didn’t say it.
Hi Jay, the version I used in the video is almost exact same with VPN and Privoxy options. It's made by the same container Dev.
Feel free to check it out again
@@IBRACORP no matter what I do I can't get binhex qbittorrentvpn to run at all, even with the vpn and privoxy options disabled. Logs show no errors at all but the webui won't come up
doing excatly same and getting "Unacceptable file type, only regular file is allowed." :/
Anyway this qBit is pretty problematic for me :/
When stopped using "/data/" and put full path - start working
hi I'm getting Unacceptable file type, only regular file is allowed error!!
ever figure this out? I was going to set this up too if the issue is fixed.
When you extract vuetorrent from github, the source folder is located under vuetorrent/vuetorrent/public. When you entered the path to the theme, you must have entered data/theme/vuetorrrent. You need to put data/theme/vuetorrrent/vuetorrent. qBittorrent is looking for the public folder.

What I found as a probable cause is some confusion as to where to place the vuetorrent structure. If you were like me i placed it under a 'downloads' share. This is the wrong place. If you follow the instructions it creates a folder called downloads under the Qbittorrent folder within the appdata share. Place the theme/ vuetorrent files in this folder and it will work from there using the video instructions. Hope that helps.
I don't see a downloads folder under the appdata/qbittorrent folder@@richardw1383
Would be nice if you warning that if the user do not have indexers nothing of this will work.
Thanks Rod. This video is not targetted at full automation. It's just to show the torrent application
Once again I loved the video, but really dude, it's pronounced data not data. I mean seriously, who would pronounce it data? It's definitely data.
Haha all sounds like gibberish to me mate. You should see how hard it is to buy potatoes.

Bit hard to shake an accent like this
Yeah nah mate and the British Queen says "soldier" pronounced "SOLDer" not "sodde"r mate.
As a new user I can't follow this one bit. You start out with custom docker settings and then refer to a previous vid. Then throw in Krusader like its common knowledge. Guess I've got allot to learn bfor I'm able to watch your vid. Still nice vid and thx, I'll be back when I've gained some skills, but wanted to leave some feedback.
Hi Patrick, I'm sorry to hear it was a bit hard to follow. As you know we're still growing here so feedback is appreciated.
If it helps, we have a playlist called 'Unraid in Order' to help members find their way in order of dependency where possible.
Otherwise I hope you come back and check in future!
