That is precise! though I think the big difference is that back then it was probably a Key mind considering how many thousands of planets the flood controlled.
@@IvanicohGGoes to show how resilient the Didact was, that while he was driven mad, the Keymind had its work cut out for it. The closest thing to a God in Halo, had to actually put in effort to break him. Its honestly a wonder that The Didact only became obsessed with The Mantle and didn't join Team Flood like Mendicant did
I think in the grand scheme of things the didact helped the flood even unconsciously. The fact that he was sent back into the heart of Forerunner society driven insane. Split the warrior servants who followed him. And the might of the overall forerunner empire diminished. Aside from that he further stunted the human evolutionary progress which helped 100K years later. Lastly the main thing I wanna mention is that the didact didn’t have the respect and influence he did before being captured by the key mind. So I don’t think the key mind TRULY gave it its all. Simply making him doubt himself and keeping the forerunners on the back foot was enough
Not exactly. I’m trying to move away from “ what if” and more to just stories that COULD be in the halo universe. For THIS. I was thinking a story going back to 100K years in the past. A story of the forerunner-Flood war.
Wasn't the Gravemind the one to originally drive Didact mad enough to begin mutilating himself and force the Librarian to seal him within a Cryptum?

What??? How. Hmm
He truly is a testiment to our sins.
He sinned so we wouldnt have to!
@IvanicohG
Just imagining the gravemind chitchatting with Shakespeare amd E.A Poe. The only way to change his mind from absorbing the universe
Talking to the original Goth would make him self implode lol
Is this for a what if👉👈
